Re(generation): Refocusing, Repurposing, and Rewarding Literary “Voice” in World Literature (The 57th Annual Convention of NeMLA (Northeast Modern Language Association))
Veranstaltungsdatum:
05.03.2026-08.03.2026
Deadline Abstract:
30.09.2025
Storytelling techniques sometime require in-depth reflection to gain profound realizations. Hence, a close examination of literary “voice” (be it from the writer or from a character) should reveal numerous discoveries in world literature that encourage a regeneration of understanding, especially concerning societal, cultural, political, and communal explorations, with sanguinity, exuberance, and engagement. What might be, for example, lucid or cryptic fascinations identified in stimulating or rambling narratives, in logical or bizarre themes, in bold or subtle actions, in named or unnamed characters, in philosophical or psychological perspective(s) of a writer? A thoughtful evaluation of literature and its essence(s) promises a roundtable session of vibrant discussions wherein regenerative optimisms will be unveiled, celebrated, and remembered.
