Terra Incognita: Travelers, Artists, and Scientists in Medieval and Early Modern Italy (NeMLA 2021)

This session will explore the intersections between science, literature, and the arts as they developed in Medieval and Early Modern Italy.

We encourage submissions that analyze the works of canonical and less-known literary authors, travel writers, artists, as well as philosophers and scientists in an effort to dissolve the contemporary divide between science and the humanities.
