Publications of the English Goethe Society
The editors of the Publications of the English Goethe Society (PEGS) are accepting submissions for the next open-submission issue of PEGS (volume 90, no.2, to appear in June 2021). The subject areas covered by PEGS are: Goethe's life and works and their immediate contexts; the literature and culture of 18th- and early 19th-century German-speaking lands; and responses to or reception of that literature and culture both outside and within Germany up to the present day.
Submissions for PEGS 90.2 should be sent to Astrid Köhler (A.Kohler@qmul.ac.uk) by 31 December 2020. Articles may be in English or German. Though we have no set parameters on length, articles are generally in the range of 5,000-8,000 words. They are assessed under standard peer review procedures. Style guidelines and submission requirements can be found here: http://www.englishgoethesociety.org/PEGSSubmissions.html
The English Goethe Society was founded in 1886, making it the oldest learned society in the UK dedicated to things German and the third-oldest Goethe society worldwide. Most university-based scholars will have online access to PEGS through the Taylor & Francis Online platform (it is published under the Routledge imprint): https://www.tandfonline.com/toc/ypeg20/current.
