Das Research Committee on Literary Theory ist die literaturtheoretische Sektion der Association internationale de littérature comparée / International Comparative Literature Association (AILC/ICLA). Formell wurde sie am 24. August 1985 auf der Sitzung des Executive Council (Bureau) der AILX/ICLA gegründet (siehe auch AILC/ICLA Bulletin VII, Nr. 1, Spring 1986, S. 10).
