    Patrick McCabe s'inscrit dans la veine d'écrivains irlandais comme Roddy Doyle, Dermot Bolger et Colm Toibin, qui témoignent de la transition d'une Irlande conservatrice à un véritable modèle de mondialisation. Dans ses romans, McCabe présente des personnages fous en marge de la société, et il rompt avec les canons traditionnels pour faire entendre leurs voix. L'objectif de ce travail est d'analyser les écritures de la folie que l'auteur propose dans ses romans, et de mettre en évidence les méthodes employées pour accompagner le lecteur dans les méandres de la folie. La première partie de l'étude aborde les questions que la folie pose à l'esthétique romanesque et aux problèmes que soulève l'intégration de cette thématique dans le roman. Il s'agit de retrouver le fragile équilibre que McCabe maintient entre la déconstruction liée à la thématique de la folie et la structure minimale indispensable à l'œuvre littéraire et à la lecture. La folie sera ensuite envisagée sous l'angle du sens. Comment les délires sont-ils représentés? Comment est-il possible de les comprendre? En quoi sont-ils significatifs pour la lecture? Dans les romans étudiés, la folie n'est pas l'antinomie du sens, elle est au contraire profondément ancrée dans le sens et conditionnée et engendrée par ce dernier. Enfin, la répétition évidente de principes fondamentaux mènera l'analyse vers les multiples réécritures au cœur de la représentation de la folie chez McCabe. Cette nouvelle perspective permettra d'envisager les diverses influences sur l'œuvre mccabienne, qu'elles soient littéraires, musicales, ou cinématographiques Patrick McCabe belongs to a generation of Irish writers, like Roddy Doyle, Dermot Bolger, and Colm Toibin, who witnessed conservative Ireland transition into the very model of globalisation. In his novels, McCabe depicts various mad characters on the margins of society, and breaking with convention, he urges us to hear them speak. The purpose of this work is to analyse the writing of madness in McCabe's novels, and to highlight the methods that he uses to guide the reader through the twists and turns of the mad psyche. The first part of this study will bring to the fore the various ways in which McCabe's notion and representation of madness challenge the basic principles of the novel genre and its internal architecture. How does the organization of McCabe's works illustrate madness and chaos? The answer lies in defining the fragile equilibrium that he maintains between the deconstruction naturally associated with madness and the minimal structure essential to the reading of a literary work. The second part will show the importance of meaning in the representation of madness. How are deliriums represented? How is it possible to understand them and why are they significant? In the novels under study, madness is not antinomical to sense; on the contrary, it is deeply rooted into, conditioned and caused by sense. Finally, the obvious repetitions of fundamental principles will lead to the examination of the numerous rewritings that are at the core of McCabe's representation of madness. This new perspective will help us to better understand the various sources that have influenced McCabe's works, should they be literary, musical, or cinematic

    "Supposons qu'on ait affaire à un auteur: est-ce que tout ce qu'il a écrit ou dit, tout ce qu'il a laissé derrière lui fait partie de son œuvre ?". C'est à l'aune de cette citation de Foucault que s'est engagé le présent travail, consacré aux cours de Roland Barthes et de Michel Foucault au Collège de France. Il s'agit en effet de réunir les deux penseurs autour de la question de l'œuvre: leur archive enseignante, aujourd'hui publiée, appartient-elle à l'œuvre? Et si oui, en quoi vient-elle en modifier la définition et l'appréhension? Objet d'une exploitation éditoriale qui vise à le faire entrer dans l'ordre de l'écrit, le cours est l'occasion d'une lecture croisée de l'œuvre écrite, dans laquelle se marque la distance à la pratique essayistique des auteurs. Il marque enfin le désir d'autres modes de diffusion d'un "savoir en train de se faire" (selon la devise du Collège). Le cours illustre ainsi ce que l'on se propose de nommer "l'inquiétude de l'œuvre" : difficilement configurable dans celle-ci, il en exhibe les tensions et découvre l'utopie d'une recherche qui s'aventurerait hors de l'écrit. En proposant la libre parole d'un auteur en professeur, le cours permet de donner à entendre l'inconfort d'une pensée qui ne se satisfait des réponses toujours provisoires apportées aux apories dans lesquelles elle se débat "Suppose we deal with an author: is everything he has written or said, everything he has left behind him, part of his works?". Bearing in mind this quotation of Foucault, this thesis examines the lectures of Roland Barthes and Michel Foucault at the College de France. The aim is to bring together those two thinkers around the essential definition of a literary work: are their lectures, published today, part of their works? If so, how do they modify our approach of their works, their definition and their grasping? Publishing transforms a lecture into something written and gives the opportunity of confronting it to the written production of these authors, thus revealing the distance towards their usual essay style of writing. It also shows the desire for different means of sharing "knowledge in progress" (the College de France's motto is: "un savoir en train de se faire"). The lecture thus illustrates what is called here "the anxiousness of a work": hardly a part of it, a lecture exposes the tensions within a work and reveals the utopia of research outside the path of written production. By presenting the teacher's free speech, a lecture makes us hear the uneasiness of a thinking which isn't satisfied with the ever-temporary answers to the aporia among which it circles 4022 Mikrofiche-Ausgabe

    Qu'est ce que la métalepse narrative ? Quelles sont ses formes, ses modes et ses aspects ? Peut-on analyser un texte littéraire en se fondant sur ce procédé et en le considérant comme le noyau de toute oeuvre littéraire ? Le présent travail explore ce procédé appartenant à l'origine au champ de la rhétorique tout en le liant à divers champs d'analyse. Il s'appuie sur un corpus allant de Scarron à Diderot, qui constitue une véritable mine de métalepses. Le point de départ est Le Roman comique de Scarron (1651-1657), on poursuit avec Pharsamon ou Les Nouvelles Folies romanesques de Marivaux (1712), Le Sopha de Crébillon (1742), Vie et opinions de Tristram Shandy de Sterne (1760-1767) et Jacques le fataliste de Diderot (1771). Ces oeuvres ont pour point commun d'être des anti-romans souvent parodiques. En partant d'une perspective narratologique on a pu élargir la recherche à d'autres champs d'analyse. On a donc constaté que la procédure métaleptique est rattachée à la théorie de la réception ainsi qu'à celle de l'énonciation. Ces deux théories sont liées dans la mesure où le texte romanesque est considéré comme une communication entre l'auteur et le lecteur. Ainsi on a pu associer la métalepse à la théorie de la lecture, tout en constatant que, sous ses divers aspects, elle « carnavalise » le texte. Plusieurs passages métaleptiques baignent dans l'univers populaire et grotesque de la société de cette époque. L'emploi de la métalepse est donc un champ d'analyse très vaste et très varié qui participe à I'évolution du roman du XVIIIe siècle. Dans une époque où le genre vit une crise, les auteurs voient la nécessité de le déconstruire pour le redéfinir ensuite et le valoriser en lui donnant un autre statut. Les métalepses, souvent jubilatoires, donnent un plaisir esthétique tout en favorisant I'écriture d'une nouvelle forme de roman What is that the métalepse narrative ? What are its forms, its modes and its aspects ? Can we analyse a Iiterary text by basing on this process and consider it as the grounds of any literary work ? The present work investigates this process belonging to the rhetoric, while bindind it to diverse fields of analysis. It leans on a corpus going from Scarron to Diderot, which constitutes a real mine of métalepses. The point of depart is Scarron's Le Roman comique (1651-1657), we pursue with Marivaux's Pharsamon ou Les Nouvelles Folies romanesques (1712), Crébillon's Le Sopha (1742), Sterne's Life and Opinions of Tristam Shandy (1760-1767) and Diderot's Jacques le fataliste(1771). These works have for common to be anti-novels, often parodies. By leaving a narrative perspective, we have then been able to wide the research to other fields of analysis. We have noticed that the metaleptic procedure is connected with the reception's theory as well with that of enunciation. These two theories are linked as far as the romanesque text is considered as a communication between the author and the reader.So we were be able to associate métalepse with the theory of the reader, noticing that with its various forms, it "carnivalises" the text. Several metaleptic passages concern the popular and grotesque world of this the's society. The use of métalepse is then a very vast and varied field of analysis that contributes to the evolution of the XVIII century's novel. In a time when the genre lives a crisis, the authors saw the necessity of deconstructing it, to redefine it and value it by giving it another status. Métalepses, often jubilants, give an aesthetic pleasure while faciliting the writing of a new novel's form

    L'une des caractéristiques les plus originales de l'œuvre poétique du Valencien d'expression catalane Vicent Andrés Estellés (Burjassot, 1924-1993) repose sur l'inflation de références et de citations de sources multiples et variées de la poésie universelle. Les procédés intertextuels et les interactions entre différentes autorités se placent en première ligne d'un programme poétique où des aspects graphiques aux structuraux, du paratexte à la citation reconnue en tant que telle, en passant par les références et les allusions à l'iconographie, tout collabore à bâtir un semblant de palimpseste. Les diverses techniques mises en œuvre dans chacun des recueils du poète obéissent à un projet qui, toujours spécifique, retrouve une cohérence globale dans un corpus où prime la transgression littéraire et politique, et une vision décloisonnée vis-à-vis de la compartimentation traditionnelle des genres littéraires, des arts et de l'histoire de la littérature One of the most original characteristics of the poetic work of Vicent Andrés Estellés, Catalan-speaking poet born in Valencia (Burjassot, 1924-1993) is based on the plethora of references and quotations, from multiple and varied sources, to universal poetry. The intertextual modus operandi and the interactions between different authorities are on the first line of a poetic programme in wich the graphic and structural aspects from paratext to quotation, recognised as such, as well as références and allusions to iconography, everything contributes to built a sort of palimpsest. The various technics used in each of the poet's collection follow an allways specific goal, that regains a comprehensive coherence in a corpus where two elements take precedent : literary and political transgression as well as a decompartimentalized approche regarding the traditionnal compartimentalization of literary genres, arts and history of literature

    Pour rendre compte de la manière dont le temps et l’aspect s’expriment dans les textes, il est nécessaire de considérer le texte comme un réseau organisé et hiérarchisé de segments. Nous avons donc proposé un modèle d’analyse discursive, basé sur la notion de référentiel, qui permet de représenter l’organisation textuelle. Ce modèle, qui peut être traduit dans un graphe, est utilisé pour identifier les différentes valeurs aspecto-temporelles des occurrences verbales à l’indicatif dans les textes français. Nous avons en outre proposé un système informatique, Chronotexte, qui automatise une analyse sémantique de surface des textes en les annotant au format XML. Ce système se base sur la stratégie d’exploration contextuelle et associe des règles heuristiques à des bases organisées de marqueurs linguistiques. Il identifie les différents référentiels, attribue une valeur aspecto-temporelle aux propositions et définit certaines relations temporelles entre ces propositions. In order to render how time and aspect are expressed in texts, it is necessary to consider texts as organized and hierarchised networks of segments. We propose a model of discursive analysis, based on the notion of referential, which make it possible to represent the structure of a text. This model, which may be translated into a graph, is used to identify the various aspectual and temporal values of verbal occurrences in French texts. We also propose a computational system, Chronotexte, which carries automatically the surface semantic analysis of texts by annotating them in an XML format. This system uses the contextual exploration strategy and associates heuristics to organized databases of linguistic markers. It identifies the various referentials, ascribes an aspectual and temporal value to propositions and defines some temporal relationships between these propositions.

The first part considers the Bible as a cultural, religious, historical, political, esthetical, and architectural heritage, the second part the writtings of and on Ruskin. Indeed, the Bible has played an essentiel role in their relation. The two last parts explore the rhetorical and symbolical aspects of the question. The writer distorts the biblical expressions, pastiches the prophetic, evangelical style, rewrites the Bible in the light of homosexuality. The imagery (places, characters, rites, Revelation, Book) is structured by a system of parallelisms and oppositions which involves the themes of sexuality, jealousy, judeity, memory and creation. La métaphore comporte un aspect structurel qui fait du corps de la femme une image de la ville, un aspect relationnel qui fait de la relation conjugale une image de la relation entre Dieu et Sion, un aspect fonctionnel qui donne à la ville le rôle d���une mère ou d'une reine, un aspect dynamique, le devenir de la femme symbolisant l'histoire de la ville. Dans une perspective synchronique, la métaphore est étudiée depuis les lamentations sumériennes jusqu'au 4 Esdras (70 ap JC). Dans la période préexilique prédomine l'image de la fille ; dans la période exilique celle de l'épouse infidèle ; après l'édit de Cyrus (538) l'image de la mère fonde l'identité de la diaspora Extracted from Old Testament and jewish literature, the metaphor is studied from two complementary viewpoints. The synchronic study is basing on the following metaphorical categories : the structural status associates the woman's body and the city builded ; the relational status associates the conjugal relationship and the alliance between God and Zion ; the functional status associates the woman's role (mother or queen) and the city's role towards its inhabitants or the country around ; the category of development associates the woman's biography with the history of the city. From a diachronic viewpoint, the metaphor is studied from sumerian laments to 4Ezra (70 after J.C). During the period before exile prevails the image of the daughter, during the exilic period the image of the spouse, after Cyrus'edict (538 before J.C.) the image of the mother founds diaspora's identity
