    Yoko Tawada ist einer der wichtigsten Namen der deutschen zeitgenössischen Literatur. Ihr literarisches Projekt behandelt Identität durch Verfremdung. Im Werk "Das nackte Auge" geht es um ein junges vietnamesisches Mädchen, dessen Name nicht verraten wird. Aufgrund eines Irrtums mit dem Zug kommt sie in Paris an. Sie spricht kein Französisch und versteht die fremde Umgebung nicht, aber findet in den Filmen, und zwar in den von Catherine Deneuve gespielten Figuren, einen Ort der Zuflucht und Identifikation. Jedes Kapitel beschäftigt sich mit einem Film, dessen Erzählung die Geschichte der Hauptfigur des Romans allmählich beeinflusst. Im ersten Kapitel "Repulsion", eine Anspielung auf den Film von Roman Polanski, kann man schon viele Elemente aus dem filmischen Werk erkennen, die wichtig für die Struktur des Romans sind. Eine solche intermediale Konstruktion wird im Roman vorgestellt, um Fragen über die Identität des Individuums der Gegenwart und seine (nackte) Sicht über die Fremde zu stellen. Yoko Tawada é um dos nomes mais importantes da Literatura Contemporânea. Seu projeto literário trata das questões acerca da identidade através do processo de estranhamento. Em "Das nackte Auge" tem-se uma jovem garota vietnamita, cujo nome nunca é revelado, que, por conta de um engano, desembarca na cidade de Paris. Ela não fala francês e se vê incapaz de compreender o meio estrangeiro que a cerca. No entanto, encontra no cinema, mais especificamente nas personagens de Catherine Deneuve, um local de refúgio e identificação. Cada capítulo trata de um filme cuja narrativa progressivamente se mistura e influencia a narrativa da personagem. Já no primeiro capítulo, "Repulsion", uma referência ao filme de Roman Polanski, pode-se perceber diversos elementos comuns à obra fílmica e de fundamental importância na construção de "Das nackte Auge". Tal construção intermidiática é apresentada com o objetivo de suscitar questões acerca do sujeito contemporâneo e seu olhar (desnudado) sobre o estranho, o estrangeiro.

    Partimos do pressuposto que os escritores, ao longo da história, sempre se utilizaram de estratégias encenatórias tanto em relação às suas obras como às suas figuras públicas, e de que o fazem não só para se estabelecer no campo literário, mas para o fazê-lo de um modo específico (JÜRGENSEN; KAYSER, 2011; BOURDIEU, 2000). Tendo em vista o último romance de Christian Kracht, "Die Toten" (2016), cujo título pode ser livremente traduzido como "Os Mortos", e as relações intertextuais que podem ser estabelecidas com o conto homônimo de James Joyce (1914) e sua adaptação para o cinema dirigida por John Huston (1987), temos por objetivo investigar de que modo essas relações contribuem para a encenação de Christian Kracht e para seu posicionamento no campo literário. Theoretischer Ansatz dieses Beitrags ist die Annahme, dass Schriftsteller inszenatorische Strategien mit Bezug auf ihr Werk und auf ihre öffentliche Figur verwenden, nicht nur um sich im literarischen Feld zu etablieren, sondern auch um dies gezielt zu machen (JÜRGENSEN; KAYSER, 2011). Ziel ist, intertextuelle Beziehungen zwischen Christian Krachts Roman "Die Toten" (2016), James Joyces Kurzgeschichte "The Dead" (1914) und deren von John Huston gleichnamigen kinematographischen Adaptation (1987) aufzuzeigen, und Überlegungen zu dem Einfluss anzustellen, den diese intertextuellen Beziehungen auf Krachts Inszenierung und auf seine Positionierung im Feld haben.

    Este artigo visa a expor as principais questões envolvidas no processo de tradução do alemão para o português do Brasil do livro "Opium für Ovid: Ein Kopfkissenbuch von 22 Frauen" ("Ópio para Ovídio: um Livro do Travesseiro de 22 mulheres"), de Yoko Tawada. Com vistas ao exercício de traduzir, este trabalho deve ser entendido como um estudo preliminar sobre a escritora e seu livro "Ópio para Ovídio", escrito em uma língua estrangeira. Num contexto de constante migração e, ao mesmo tempo, de negação do Outro e de xenofobia, entende-se como necessária a busca por uma experiência de alteridade. Nesse sentido, este trabalho persegue o deslocamento do olhar para uma perspectiva e uma língua estrangeiras, de modo que o texto traduzido propicie uma experiência com o 'fremd'. In dem vorliegenden Artikel sollen die wichtigsten Aspekte des Übersetzungsprozesses aus dem Deutschen ins brasilianische Portugiesisch des Buches "Opium für Ovid: Ein Kopfkissenbuch von 22 Frauen" von Yoko Tawada behandelt werden. Im Hinblick auf die Übersetzungspraxis lässt sich diese Arbeit als Vorstudie über die Schriftstellerin und ihr Buch "Opium für Ovid" verstehen. Das Buch wurde auf Deutsch verfasst, eine Fremdsprache für Yoko Tawada. In Anbetracht der ständigen Migration und einer gleichzeitig wachsenden Fremdenfeindlichkeit wird die Suche nach einer Auseinandersetzung mit der Fremdheit gefordert. In diesem Sinne verfolgt diese Arbeit eine Verschiebung in die Richtung des Fremden, sodass der übersetzte Text auch eine Erfahrung damit ermöglichen kann. This paper presents the main issues involved in the translation process from German into Brazilian Portuguese of the book "Opium für Ovid: Ein Kopfkissenbuch von 22 Frauen" ("Opium for Ovid: A Pillow Book of 22 Women"), by Yoko Tawada. This work should be understood as a preliminary study about the writer and her book "Opium for Ovid", that was written in a foreign language. In a context of constant migration and a growing xenophobia, the experience of foreignness is considered here as necessary. Therefore, by emphasizing the displacement of perspectives, this work aims to provide an experience with the foreign ('fremd') through the act of translating.

    A tradução parece trazer dificuldades que exigem soluções diversas que, escolhidas contigencialmente, podem ter implicações históricas e políticas duradouras. A tradução da Bíblia por Lutero é um exemplo marcante da força histórica da tradução e das polêmicas quanto à sua forma. Em "A Tarefa do Tradutor", Benjamin estabelece duas temporalidades distintas para a vida de um texto literário e a de suas traduções, instaurando um debate a respeito dos diferentes tempos históricos que atravessam um texto, em sua relação com as diferentes línguas. A partir dessas considerações, nos propomos a discutir certas dificuldades concretas experienciadas na tradução de citações de uma obra literária dentro de um texto crítico de Benjamin, "Am Kamin", um dos textos em que desenvolve sua teoria do romance. Como traduzir hoje as citações que Benjamin faz do romance "The old wives tale" de Arnold Bennet, citações da tradução para o alemão dos anos 1930, de um texto inglês de 1908 que emula um narrador do início do século XIX, e que não foi ainda traduzido para o português? Por fim, apresento o texto traduzido, "À Lareira". The act of translating seems to bring about difficulties demanding multiple solutions that, while contingent, may have long lasting political and historical implications. Luther's Bible translation is a marked example of the historical force of translation and of the polemics concerning its form. In "The Task of the Translator", Benjamin proposes two distinct temporalities for the life of a literary text and that of its translations, starting a debate regarding the different historical times present in a text, and in its relations with different languages. Departing from these considerations, I propose the discussion of some concrete difficulties experienced in the translation of quotations from a literary work in a critical text by Walter Benjamin, "Am Kamin", a text that develops Benjamin's theory of the novel. How can I translate, today, quotations made by Benjamin of a 1920's German translation of Arnold Bennet's 1908 novel "The old wives tale", with its early 19th century narrator, not yet translated into Portuguese? Finally, I present "Am Kamin" translated into Portuguese.

    Der vorliegende Artikel beschäftigt sich mit der Autorfrage in Zeiten der künstlichen Intelligenz. Die Frage nach der Austauschbarkeit des empirischen Schriftstellers stellt sich dabei verstärkt seit dem Zeitalter der Kybernetik. Im Folgenden werden zwei Positionen, Italo Calvinos Idee einer Autormaschine ("Cibernetica e fantasmi", 1967) und dem Autorbot bei Clemens Setz ("Bot. Gespräch ohne Autor", 2018), untersucht. Calvinos Kombinationsmaschine, die in Analogie zu einem algorithmischen Vorgehen steht, hat den Autor ersetzt. Der Autor ist nicht mehr Ursprung des Textes, wie auch Roland Barthes betont. Doch die Maschine kommt nicht ohne die gesellschaftlich und individuell bedingten Geister aus, die sie heimsuchen. Der zeitgenössische Schriftsteller Clemens Setz lässt hingegen einen Bot, der mit dem Archiv seiner Texte gefüttert wurde, in seiner Abwesenheit auf Interviewfragen antworten. Menschliche und technische Logik liegen für den Leser dabei näher beieinander, als erwartet. Paradoxerweise, so ist festzuhalten, bestärkt die Inszenierung des fehlenden Autors bei Clemens Setz aber die Autorfigur - denn der Autor muss sich in Interviews, auf Preisverleihungen und Reden bewähren. Zeichen einer neuen Wichtigkeit und Sichtbarkeit des Autors? Este artigo trata da questão do autor em tempos de inteligência artificial. A questão da intercambialidade do escritor empírico tem sido cada vez mais levantada desde a era da cibernética. Nas duas posições seguintes serão analisadas, a ideia de uma máquina-autor de Italo Calvino ("Cibernetica e fantasmi", 1967) e o bot de Clemens Setz ("Bot. Gespräch ohne Autor", 2018). A máquina combinada de Calvino, que é análoga a um procedimento algorítmico, substituiu o autor. O autor não é mais a origem do texto, como também enfatiza Roland Barthes. Contudo, a máquina não pode prescindir dos espíritos condicionados social e individualmente que a assombraram. O escritor contemporâneo Clemens Setz, por outro lado, deixa um robô abastecido com o arquivo de seus textos responder às perguntas de entrevista durante sua ausência. Para o leitor, a lógica humana e a técnica estão mais próximas do que o esperado. Paradoxalmente, é possível perceber em Clemens Setz que a encenação do autor ausente reforça sua própria figura, visto que esse precisa estar presente em entrevistas, cerimônias de premiação e discursos. Sinal de uma nova importância e visibilidade do autor?

    As abordagens descritiva e funcional dos Estudos da Tradução contribuíram para o que se convencionou chamar de "virada cultural" ao propor formas não prescritivas de abordar a tradução e redirecionar o foco do estudo para o contexto de recepção. Analisamos neste artigo alguns dos principais aspectos das abordagens, a fim de localizar pontos em comum e divergências em suas teorias. Partiremos da análise de suas propostas gerais e, em seguida, será feita a comparação das principais contribuições de Gideon Toury e Christiane Nord aos Estudos da Tradução, buscando compreender melhor as propostas das duas vertentes. Por fim, trataremos da aplicação das teorias descritivistas e funcionalistas nas pesquisas sobre tradução, com base na análise de dissertações e teses. The descriptive and functional approaches of Translation Studies contributed to the so-called "cultural turn" by proposing non-prescriptive ways of approaching translation and redirecting the study focus to the reception context. This paper provides a comparative analysis of the main aspects of these approaches, identifying common points and divergences in their theories. We start by analyzing its general proposals and then by comparing the main contributions of Gideon Toury and Christiane Nord to Translation Studies, in order to better understand the two proposals. Finally, we investigate the application of functionalist and discriptivist theories in translation research, based on the analysis of theses and dissertations.

    A temática da decadência em "Os Buddenbrook: decadência duma família" é explícita: materializa-se enquanto subtítulo da obra literária. Em "Os Maias", repete-se a estrutura essencial do título anterior, focalizando-se um nome de família. Sabe-se, entretanto, de antemão, que o enredo contemplado pelo romance de Thomas Mann perpassará por episódios cujo desfecho está no desnodar decadente das gerações da família Buddenbrook, o que, ainda que não explícito, repete-se na obra de Eça de Queirós. Para concretizar de forma estética a temática pretendida, ambos os autores focalizam cada geração das famílias ficcionais, desnudando dialeticamente pensamentos e papeis sociais. Desse desnudamento, um traço se mostra compartilhado por quase todas as personalidades: a preocupação para com a perpetuação do nome da família; fardo que pressagia a total extinção de ambos os antropônimos. A fim de demonstrar a relação da nomeação com a temática da decadência familiar, este artigo propõe um diálogo entre a Literatura Comparada e a Antroponomástica Ficcional - estudo dos nomes ficcionais - e situa o processo da despersonalização subjetiva do nome de família para a concretização do ápice da decadência: o desparto social do nome. The theme of decay in "The Buddenbrooks: decline of a family" is explicit: it materializes as a subtitle of the literary work. In "The Maias", an essential structure of the previous title is repeated, focusing on a family name. It is known, however, beforehand, that the plot contemplated by the novel by Thomas Mann will run through episodes whose outcome lies in the decaying decay of the generations of the Buddenbrook family, which, although not explicit, is repeated in the work of Eça de Queirós. In order to achieve the desired aesthetic theme, the two authors focus on the generation of fictional families, stripping down social thoughts and roles. Of this stripping, a trait is shown to be shared by almost all personalities: a concern with the perpetuation of the family name; a burden that presages the total extinction of both anthroponyms. In order to demonstrate the relationship of the nomination with the decay thematic, this article proposes a dialogue between Comparative Literature and Fictional Anthroponomics - study of fictional names - and the status of the process of depersonalization composed of the family name to the top of the decay: the social not give birth of the name.

    Johann Nepomuk Nestroy (1801-1862) foi um dos dramaturgos mais importantes da história do teatro da Áustria. Ator e autor aclamado durante seu tempo, é também nome de referência e enorme influência para muitos escritores austríacos canônicos do século XX e do começo do XXI, que até hoje se definem como devedores de sua poética dramatúrgica (por exemplo, Karl Kraus ou Elfriede Jelinek). Este artigo, além de destacar o papel do dramaturgo com "ancestral" para uma parte da literatura austríaca, lança um olhar sobre a única tradução de uma peça de Nestroy disponível no Brasil ("Cacique Vento-da-Tarde ou O festim do horror", publicada em 1990), com o intuito de colocar em questão a visão recorrente da obra de Nestroy como "intraduzível". Johann Nepomuk Nestroy (1801-1862) was one of the most important playwrights in the history of Austrian theater. He was an acclaimed actor and author during his time, and he is also a reference writer and a huge influence for many canonical Austrian writers in the 20th and early 21st centuries, who today define themselves as debtors of his dramaturgical poetics (for instance, Karl Kraus ou Elfriede Jelinek). The article highlights the role of Nestroy as an "ancestor" for part of Austrian literature, and also looks at the only translation of a Nestroy play available in Brazil ("Cacique Vento-da-Tarde ou O festim do horror", 1990), in order to call into question the common view of Nestroy's work as "intranslatable".

    Este trabalho tem como objetivo discutir as noções de apropriação pela via da tradução a partir da análise de oito excertos da Preparação à primeira parte da obra "Die Kunst das Clavier zu spielen" de Friedrich Wilhelm Marpurg. A Preparação desta obra compõe-se de 23 parágrafos, dos quais oito refletem ideias apresentadas numa obra anterior, a saber, "L'Art de toucher le clavecin" (1716), de François Couperin. Para este trabalho será considerado o reflexo dessas ideias pela via da tradução. Os trechos traduzidos aparecem ora aumentados, ora reduzidos, ou então são suprimidos. Esta dinâmica de tradução é afirmada por Marpurg no prefácio de duas edições anteriores a 1762: as edições de 1750 e 1751. Investigamos, nas discussões sobre apropriação, o que teria levado Marpurg a abandonar a reverência a Couperin nos prefácios de edições posteriores, o que contribuiu para que essa apropriação - ocorrida também, mas não apenas por meio da tradução - pudesse ser relacionada, a princípio, à autoria. Nesse sentido, apoiados em obras científicas sobre tradução e apropriação, discutimos a noção de tradução, apropriação e autoria, traçando um diálogo com duas áreas dos Estudos da Tradução: análise comparativa e tradução comentada. This paper intends to discuss the notions of appropriation by means of translation from the analysis of eight excerpts contained in the Preparation to the first part of "Die Kunst das Clavier zu spielen" by Friedrich Wilhelm Marpurg. The Preparation of this piece of work is composed of 23 paragraphs, eight of which reflect ideas presented in a former production, "L'Art de toucher le clavecin" (1716), by François Couperin. The reflection of these ideas will be taken into account herein, by means of translation. The translated sections are increased, reduced, or suppressed. Such dynamics are acknowledged by Marpurg in the preface of two issues prior to 1762: the 1750 and 1751 editions. Regarding the discussions on appropriation, we have looked into what possibly would have led Marpurg to refrain from revering Couperin in the prefaces of later editions, which contributed, so that this appropriation - which also occurred, but not only through translation - could be related, in principle, to authorship. In this sense, with the reliance on scientific works on translation and appropriation, the notion of translation, appropriation and authorship have been discussed, and thereby tracing a dialogue with two fields of Translation Studies: comparative analysis and commented translation.
