    This book addresses the issue of the potential economic significance of the artistic heritage in an art city – more specifically Florence – taking as a concrete example for the purpose of scientific research the figure of the “artistic restorer” in the dual garb of economic agent and environmental and cultural resource for the city. The empirical study of the private firms working in this sector located in the Florence area is accompanied and introduced by a broad analysis of the policies for protection and enhancement of the cultural assets, and of the economic, non-economic and institutional agents involved in the same. Il volume affronta il tema della possibile rilevanza economica del patrimonio artistico in una città d'arte, nello specifico Firenze, prendendo come esempio concreto ai fini di una ricerca scientifica la figura del "restauratore artistico" nella duplice veste di attore economico e di risorsa ambientale e culturale per la città. Lo studio empirico delle imprese private di tale settore localizzate nell'area fiorentina è accompagnato e introdotto da un'ampia analisi sulle politiche di tutela e valorizzazione dei beni culturali e sul sistema di attori economici, non economici ed istituzionali che in esse sono coinvolti.

    Main description: Die Untersuchungen zeigen, inwieweit zentrale Liebeslieder bekannter mittelalterlicher Autoren an überindividuelle Sprechweisen der Epoche angeschlossen sind. An den Liedern der altokzitanischen Trobadordichtung des 12. und des beginnenden 13. Jahrhunderts sowie an altitalienischen Texten aus dem 13. und 14. Jahrhundert (insbesondere Giacomo da Lentinis, Dantes und Petrarcas) läßt sich zeigen, wie sich ein lyrisches Subjekt herausbildet, welches das Wissen der Zeit reflektiert und damit in der Lage ist, seine eigene Rolle zu hinterfragen. Auf jeder Etappe dieser Entwicklung setzt sich die Dichtung dezidiert mit den zentralen Epistemen der dominanten zeitgenössischen Diskurse, insbesondere der Theologie und der Philosophie, auseinander

    Main description: The studies show the extent to which love poems/songs by well-known medieval authors display links with supra-individual discourse conventions of the age in which they materialized. Central reference is made to Old Occitan troubadour songs of the 12th and early 13th centuries and Old Italian texts from the 13th and 14th centuries (notably by Giacomo di Lentini, Dante, and Petrarch). The comparison traces the gradual emergence of a lyrical 'I' reflecting the knowledge of the age and thus in a position to inquire into its own role. At all points in this development, poetry is seen to engage vigorously with the central epistemes of the dominant discourse forms, notably theology and philosophy

    La versione in antico provenzale dello »Pseudo Turpino« (Ms. Add 17920 del British Museum di Londra) rappresenta una testimonianza unica per la diffusione dell' epica carolingia in ambito romanzo. Partendo dalla prima ed incompleta edizione, il curatore ha sviluppato una serie di ricerche tendenti alla localizzazione storica del testo e, grazie alla disamina di alcune importanti lezioni sinora incomprese, è riuscito a recuperarne la genesi nell'ambiente papale avignonese. La felice individuazione della particolare committenza ha infine permesso la conferma di ipotesi già in precedenza avanzate ma finora priv di documenti di appoggio. La leggenda recupera in questo modo il proprio contesto venendosi a collocare all'incrocio tra celebrazione mitica e propaganda del cammino di Compostella. The Old Provençal version of the »Pseudo Turpino« (MS Add 17920 of the British Museum in London) is a unique testimony of the dissemination of the Caroline epic in the Romance context. On the basis of the first (incomplete) edition, the editor has embarked on a series of investigations serving the historical localization of the text and thanks to the perusal of a number of documents hitherto poorly understood has succeeded in establishing its genesis in the environs of the papal court at Avignon. Finally, the fortunate establishment of this particular state of affairs has led to the confirmation of hypotheses advanced at an earlier date but hitherto devoid of documentary evidence. Thus this new reading serves to delineate the origins of the text as a cross between mythological celebration and a propagation of the pilgrims' route to Santiago di Compostella.

    Con questa nuova edizione, che segue di più di un secolo la precedente (1895), si ripropongono le sei canzoni rimaste di un trovatore dimenticato: Uc Brunenc di Rodez, attivo sul finire del XII secolo. Il testo critico, che è il risultato del tentativo di razionalizzazione di tutti i dati offerti dalla ricca tradizione manoscritta, è seguito da una traduzione in italiano e da un commento essenziale, nel quale si prova a chiarire sia le eventuali oscurità testuali, sia il ruolo di Uc Brunenc nel panorama poetico del tempo. Il volume è aperto da un'introduzione nella quale vengono analizzati le poche notizie biografiche del trovatore, nonché i principali aspetti metrici e testuali dell'opera sua. Chiudono il volume l'Index verborum e il rimario. This new edition of the six rhymed canzoni by the troubadour Uc Brunenc di Rodez (late 12th century) comes over a century after its nearest predecessor (1895). The critical text, the result of an attempt to rationalize on all the data provided by the rich manuscript tradition, is followed by an Italian translation and a commentary designed to clarify any textual obscurities and the role played by Uc Brunenc in the poetic panorama of the age. The volume opens with an Introduction analyzing the sparse autobiographical jottings left by the poet and the principal metrical and textual features of his work. It closes with an index verborum and a rhyme list.
