    Abstract: A acusação de que o jovem aluno do século XXI não se forma leitor tornou-se senso comum em sala de professores e em conversas de adultos. Despertar no aluno o prazer do texto também tem sido tarefa árdua para muitos docentes que se veem entre os muros de uma escola ainda tão tradicional como a brasileira. Sem descartar a importância da leitura dos clássicos, é imprescindível, contudo, que a escola – e, metonimicamente, o professor – atraia o aluno-leitor para a nova era da ciberliteratura. Esta promoveu uma revolução na história da leitura – do códex ao hipertexto – e ascendeu a função do leitor, o qual se tornou mais ativo, um hiperleitor, apagando assim a função de autor, outrora merecedor de status. Seja através da hiperficção, da hiperpoesia ou do metalivro, a ciberliteratura resgata e dá continuidade ao experimentalismo universal na escrita, no som e na imagem, inaugurado pelas vanguardas europeias e pela poesia concreta – embrião da poesia virtual.     Abstract: No presente trabalho, pretendo mostrar o estatuto do dizer e do escrito no ensino do psicanalista Jacques Lacan. Lacan realizou, ao longo de 26 anos ininterruptos, atividades de ensino em regime de seminário; ele mesmo realizou a recopilação de seus textos fundamentais, lançados em 1966 sob o título: Escritos. Sabe-se também que um componente fundamental da sua doutrina é sua teoria sobre o estatuto do escrito na transmissão em psicanálise. Ao longo de seu ensino, também se preocupou por definir o estatuto do dizer. O dizer e o escrito aparecem enlaçados no ensino de Lacan em uma relação de temporalidade subjetiva, na qual a função essencial do dizer é a subjetivação do escrito, e isso se produz num tempo de espera no qual o corpo se vê comprometido pela própria inscrição da teoria no corpo (castração)

    Abstract: Does such a thing as Indian Writing in English exist? Im Aufsatz, der in fünf Absätze gegliedert ist, möchte der Verfasser vor allem die Schwierigkeit dieser speziellen Genrebestimmung beleuchten. Die Werke der untersuchten Autoren und Autorinnen der Indischen Diaspora unterscheiden äußerst voneinander, sowohl in thematischer als auch stilistischer Hinsicht. Unter ihnen gibt es Romane und Erzählungen im klassischen Erzählstil von Autoren wie Naipaul, Ghosh, Lahiri, ... hauptsächlich gruppiert um Immigrationsthemen. Zugleich bemühen sich dagegen Autoren wie Rushdie, Roy, Tharoor, ... um Sprachzertrümmerung und um die Weiterentwicklung moderner Erzähltechniken. Nicht nur wird der große mannigfaltige geographische Raum Indien mit seinen Stärken und Schwächen geschildert, sondern es entstehen synchron Rave-Geschichten und Pop-Romane bei Rushdie und Kureishi.     Abstract: This essay deals with the notion of orientalist discourse in Lord Byron's Childe Harold's Pilgrimage. Concentrating on the dialectical attitudes towards the "Orient" in Byron's poem the writers try to show, through a contrapuntal textual analysis, how signs emerge of a somewhat stereotypical and often monolithic Orient. It is argued that the work's claim on the authenticity of the representations of the East is a subtle textual strategy. This seems to be true despite the existence of seemingly more favourable views towards "Orientals", especially in the footnotes, compared to Turkish Tales. Central to the study is the idea that similar discursive practices also seem to influence most of Byron's critics, which include contemporary scholars who have conducted numerous forms of textual analysis through differing theoretical approaches

    Abstract: From ancient times to the present, rivers have been a popular literary theme and motif. The river can be understood as an image of unceasing movement, as a connective or divisive element, as a source of fertility and prosperity through trade, but also as one of danger. The Weser is one of the many rivers of Germany to have been commemorated in literature, as is illustrated here with the aid of examples from the sixteenth to the eighteenth centuries. The German humanist Felix Fi(e)dler’s 1550 cycle on the rivers of his native country forms the point of departure for this discussion. With his poetic description of the Weser, Fi(e)dler left a striking monument to posterity which reflects his knowledge of the literature of antiquity. It was from this age-old literature that he drew his information about the disputes between the Romans and the Teutons thought to have taken place on and near the Weser. Here the river is ascribed a Germanic, "national" element which would also play a role

The writers try to shed some light on the way Baraka's historiography challenges the white supremecist discourses through a rewriting of the African American past that blurs the boundaries of myth and history, fact and fiction, in a postmodern manner.
