We discuss the different roles played by festive laugh in a dramatic subgenre which intended to lead the audience to devotion. The aim of this article is to deepen into the strategies through which comedias de santos contributed to a double prospect, festive and pious. ; Other ; A partir del corpus de la comedia hagiográfica lopesca, se trata de valorar cómo se compatibilizó la comicidad propia del arte nuevo con el contexto piadoso consustancial a las piezas hagiográficas. Se reflexiona sobre los diferentes sentidos que podía adquirir la risa festiva en un subgénero dramático que aspiraba a mover el auditorio a devoción. En última instancia, se pretende profundizar en las estrategias mediante las cuales las comedias de santos sirvieron, simultáneamente, a un doble propósito, festivo y piadoso.

    Other ; The different aspects of magic became an essential ingredient of bucolic universe since the origin of pastoral genre. Within an idealized and utopic frame, magic built a bridge towards transcendence, and balanced the disharmony created by human love emotions within Arcadian microcosm. This concept of magic became infused to Sixteenth century pastoral novel through Neoplatonism and Hermetic tradition. From a narratological point of view, magic episodes became indispensable to complete the philosophical meaning of the works. Lope de Vega, in La Arcadia, published in 1598, fully participated from this tradition, though he will approach the convention from a particular dramatic-like perspective. And it was precisely in pastoral comedias where the Fénix ends up deconstructing bucolic code to remodel it as a mere vestige of the tradition and treat magic as a humorous ingredient.

    Other ; Departing from the concepts of visualism and theatricality understood as the base of the world view of an epoch, a reflection about the presence of a pictorial-based expressiveness in the performance of Lope’s comedias de santos is suggested. Besides the analysis of the suitable contexts and staging procedures associated to the appearance of sacred images on stage, static performances, closer to painting than to drama, are also taken into account as a device which contribute to create that transcendent meaning which is essential to hagiographical comedias.

    Abstract: Die vorliegende Arbeit ist ein Kommentar zu Fragmenten und Testimonien von fünf griechischen Komödiendichtern des IV Jahrhunderts v.Chr.: Klearchos, Kratinos Iunior, Krobylos, Heniochos und Mnesimachos. Diese Arbeit wurde gemäß den Richtlinien des „KomFrag“-Projekts (Kommentierung der Fragmente der griechischen Komödie) verfasst und von der Heidelberg Akademie der Wissenschaften mit Sitz in Freiburg unter der Leitung meines Doktorvaters, Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. B. Zimmermann, finanziert. Ziel des Projekts ist es, wissenschaftliche Kommentare zu allen erhaltenen Fragmenten der attischen Komödie zu erstellen, die einerseits die in der Regel schwierig zu verstehenden Texte unter allen möglichen Gesichtspunkten (philologisch-literaturgeschichtlich, archäologisch, historisch) erschließen, andererseits, wo dies möglich ist, eine Rekonstruktion der Stücke versuchen und eine literaturgeschichtliche Einordnung der Autoren vornehmen. Meine Arbeit wird in Rahmen der Reihe des Projekts „Fragmenta Comica“ als Band 16.4 veröffentlicht und wird demgemäß der Struktur der anderen Bände dieser Reihe angeglichen. Die Kommentare bestehen aus einer Einleitung über Leben und Werk des Dichters und einem Kommentarteil, in dem sämtliche Testimonien, Titel und Fragmente kommentiert werden.
    Die von mir ausgewählten Komödiendichtern stammen aus dem 4. Jhd. v.Chr. und gehören zur Untergattung, die als „Mittlere Komödie“ bekannt ist. Diese Auswahl zielt darauf ab, einen repräsentativen Querschnitt darzustellen, um die Entwicklung der Gattung Komödie, der Themen und der Motive im Vergleich zur vorausgehenden und nachfolgenden Gattungsgeschichte zu beleuchten. Im Besonderen handelt es sich um:
    - Klearchos: 1 testimonium , 3 Titel und 5 Fragmente;
    - Kratinos Iunior: 8 Titel und 14 Fragmente;
    - Krobylos: 3 Titel und 11 Fragmente;
    - Heniochos: 1 testimonium , 8 Titel und 5 Fragmente;
    - Mnesimachos: 3 testimonia , 7 Titel und 11 Fragmente.
    Diese Auswahl hat es mir ermöglicht, die bedeutsamsten und charakteristischsten Aspekte der Gattung aufzuzeigen, indem ich die Fragmente einer genauen Analyse unterzogen und kommentiert habe. Unter anderem sind folgende konstitutive Merkmale erwähnenswert: die Verspottung einiger Philosophenschulen, vor allem die Anhänger des Pythagoras; die
    mythologische Parodie, eine spezifische Untergattung des komischen Theaters, überaus beliebt und erfolgreich im Athen des 4. Jhd. v.Chr.; die Präsenz von ‚stock characters‘, wie der Mürrische, der Vielfraß, die Hetäre oder der Koch, deren diachronische Entwicklung ebenfalls veranschaulicht wurde; die Verspottung der Fremden, im Sinne der Nicht-Athener, aufgrund deren Sitten, Gepflogenheiten und bestimmten sprachlichen Ausdrücken; die Aufzählung von Speisen und ihre
    Rolle in der Handlung der Komödie: im Besonderen konnte gezeigt werden, wie die Auflistung von Gerichten, vor allem von Fischgerichten, häufig daran umgekehrt wurde, erotische Doppeldeutigkeiten anklingen zu lassen.
    Schließlich konnte die communis opinio widerlegt werden, dass die Komödie des 4. Jhd. v.Chr. an politischen, aktuellen Themen desinteressiert gewesen sein soll. Dieses Interesse zeigt sich in den Fragmenten, in welchen auf zeitgenössische historische Ereignisse angespielt wird und wichtige Persönlichkeiten (z.B. Platon) jener Zeit erwähnt werden
