    Other ; La coincidencia, en las últimas décadas, de un boom de la memoria (Huyssen, Todorov) y un nuevo ciclo de la raza (Laó Montes) ha generado un amplio corpus de prácticas culturales en torno a la memoria de la esclavitud, dando continuación y renovación a la larga tradición de relatos (pos)esclavistas. Estas nuevas prácticas hacen uso del documento y del testimonio, soportes claves de los archivos de la esclavitud, al tiempo que marcan su precariedad y sus paradojas. Ellas proponen nuevos relatos mnemónicos, indirectos, elusivos, contradictorios, incisivos, de lo que fue y lo que queda de la esclavitud. Esta ponencia propone un acercamiento desde estas perspectivas a La ceiba de la memoria, de Roberto Burgos Cantor, y a la producción visual de Marcos Lora Read. Para ello me apoyaré, por un lado, en la propuesta de W.J. Mitchell de pensar la esclavitud como un “estorbo de memoria”, y por el otro, en las reflexiones de Derek Walcott, Édouard Glissant y Toni Morrison en torno a los restos como elemento crucial de las memorias del Caribe. Desde este marco indagaré sobre los modos en que estas memorias residuales se acercan a la problemática del trauma y sus representaciones.

    Other ; Taking into consideration Lope de Vega’s corpus of hagiographical comedia, we value how the typical comicality of arte nuevo became compatible with that pious sense which was essential to hagiographical plays. We discuss the different roles played by festive laugh in a dramatic subgenre which intended to lead the audience to devotion. The aim of this article is to deepen into the strategies through which comedias de santos contributed to a double prospect, festive and pious. ; Other ; A partir del corpus de la comedia hagiográfica lopesca, se trata de valorar cómo se compatibilizó la comicidad propia del arte nuevo con el contexto piadoso consustancial a las piezas hagiográficas. Se reflexiona sobre los diferentes sentidos que podía adquirir la risa festiva en un subgénero dramático que aspiraba a mover el auditorio a devoción. En última instancia, se pretende profundizar en las estrategias mediante las cuales las comedias de santos sirvieron, simultáneamente, a un doble propósito, festivo y piadoso.

    Abstract: This article aims on reflecting on the teaching process of the English language in Brazil starting from a perspective that contemplates the sociocultural factors and also the linguistic factors that might influence the learning of a foreign language. Weinreich, Labov and Herzog (2006 [1968]) see any linguistic changes as the result of a process of linguistic fit between variables internal to the linguistic system and those external to it (i.e. socioeconomic factors). Issues such as the Brazilian basic education system, proficiency evaluation, use of English with other speakers, and literacy issues can be considered as extralinguistic factors (external to the language, but which exert influence in it) that along with linguistic system factors, such as Interlanguage, can lead Brazilian speakers to develop a "Brazilian English" (in comparison toterms known as "British English" or "American English"), or to use this language as "lingua franca", to ensure that the purpose of any message

    Abstract: Portuguese Language teaching has faced sustained challenges which address both theoretical and methodological issues towards its practice. Such issues refer to significant practices that provide pupils with a responsive language action. In this context, this paper aims to highlight misspellings which entail the interference of oral language into the writing of second year high school students. For this purpose, we seek to answer the following questions: what are the influences/marks of oral language in written texts of high school students? And how to handle these influences and reverse them according to the grammars of Standard Portuguese? Thus, in order to answer these questions, we support our discussion in light of the works of Marcuschi (2008; 2010); Fávero, et al. (2000); Kato (2002); Bortoni-Ricardo (2004; 2005).     Abstract: Through this study, we develop a descriptive and comparative analysis of metaphorical sentences which contain verbs with iterative and cursive aspectual meanings. The corpus analyzed in this qualitative and quantitative research has a total of 129 metaphors of Brazilian Portuguese and English. The analysis and description of the data were performed from the Semantic Interaction Theory by Max Black (1993), because it understands and emphasizes that metaphor is a special phenomenon in which the terms that make up the statement interact creating a mental operation, in a view that the language creates reality and ways of thinking (Fossile, 2008a, 2008b, 2008c, 2011a, 2011b, 2012b, 2012c; Dias and Fossile 2014). The methodology used for this descriptive and comparative analysis of the metaphorical occurrences of Brazilian Portuguese and English was developed by Moura (2007) and Fossile (2008a; 2008b; 2008c, 2011a, 2012b, 2012c).
