Cette polysémie découle d'un processus rédactionnel complexe, dont le texte conserve de nombreuses traces, qui se cristallise en quatre discours distincts dissimulés dans autant de récits aussi bien autonomes qu'interdépendants: une théologie plurivoque, en même temps extatique et symbolique, véhiculée par l'histoire hybride de Lithargoël, à la fois allégorie du salut de l'âme et psychanodie, un enseignement euthymique transmis par le Jésus ressuscité d'une scène épiphanique, une théologie diaconale et une théorie novatrice de la mission chrétienne, corollaires d'un récit missionnaire, et enfin une théologie ascétique et une apologie de la perpétuation de l'Église, renfermées dans une ample métaphore de l'endurance. Si la dernière étape de sa composition peut être attribuée à un cercle mélétien du tout début du IVe siècle, cet apocryphe semble circuler, non seulement en Égypte mais aussi à Rome, en Nubie et en Palestine, au moins jusqu'au XIIe siècle."

    La représentation et l'écriture de la judéité dans la fiction du XIXe siècle en France et en Grande-Bretagne rendent compte de l'imagologie du Juif à travers des textes connus et ouvrent des voies de recherches complémentaires susceptibles d'attirer l'attention sur des romans aujourd'hui oubliés. Les œuvres du corpus révèlent l'intérêt des auteurs, antisémites ou non, envers une représentation de la judéité dont ils veulent témoigner. Les ouvrages ont parfois une valeur documentaire lorsque l'histoire s'inspire de la réalité et de la presse contemporaine, mais tous les romans gardent avant tout le statut de la fiction qui permet au lecteur, qu'il soit Juif ou non, de se reconnaître dans des personnages aussi divers que possible et qui symbolisent justement la diversité de l'humanité. Les écrivains ont utilisé des procédés littéraires afin de dénoncer ou d'approuver la supériorité d'un culte ou d'une communauté. Certains ont renforcé l'image dépréciative et stéréotypée de l'Israélite, d'autre ont maintenu un fil conducteur reliant le passé, c'est-à-dire la tradition, à la modernité, l'objectif étant d'agir sur la réalité de leur époque et de défendre et garder la mémoire des peuples. La représentation de la femme en général et de la Juive en particulier, son émancipation ou son asservissement, montre bien la différence paradoxale entre l'image dépréciative de l'Israélite et le portrait de la Juive toujours belle. L'écriture de la judéité insiste également sur la préservation de l'identité juive, sur le rôle que jouent les communautés ashkénazes et sépharades et sur le langage utilisé par les personnages (langue vernaculaire, hébreu, yiddish...) This representation and the writing of Jewishness in XIXth century fiction in France and in great Britain display the imagology of the Jew through known texts and pave the way for additional research susceptible to draw attention, to novels forgotten today. The works of the corpus reveal the interest shared by various authors, wether anti-semitic or not, in a representation of Jewishness to which they want to testify. The works sometimes bear a documentary value when the story is inspired by reality and by the contemporary press, but all of the novels keep the status of fiction whic allows the reader, wether Jewish or not, to recognize himsel in characters as diverse as possible and which symbolize exactly the variety of mankind. The writers used literary devices to denounce or condone the superiority of a religion or a community. Some authors strengthened the depreciative and stereotypical image of the Israelite when others writers maintained a thread connecting the past, steeped in tradition, with modernity, the objective being to act on the reality of their time and to defend and to keep the memory of peoples. The representation of woman in general and the Jewess in particular, her emancipation, or subjection, highlights the paradoxical difference between the depreciative image of the Jewish identity, on the role played by the Ashkenazi and Sephardic communities and on the language used by the characters (vernacular language, Hebrew, Yiddish...)

    Mon recherche a commencé avec un but de répondre à une question : qu'est-ce qu'une architecture « en harmonie avec la nature » ? Pour explorer et expliciter la conception coréenne de la nature du rapport de l'habitation coréenne à la nature, j'ai choisi de prendre comme matériau de réflexion et d'expérimentation les textes et les constructions d'un lettré coréen Yun Sôndo qui vécut au 17ème siècle et qui est représentatif des sadaebu, une classe cultivée connaissant les textes fondamentaux confucianistes. En révélant la conception et la mise en pratique des idées de la nature des sadaebu, j'essaie d'énoncer des principes architecturaux tenant compte des milieux et des êtres pour répondre à la problématique de départ. La thèse constitue en trois parties : la première consacrée à l'étude du sens des mots indicatifs de l'idée de nature (jayon), elle prend appui et explicite les sens donnés d'une part aux termes évoquant la nature d'autre part à ceux évoquant l'esthétique dans la littérature et les arts des lettrés coréens : la deuxième qui approfondit la recherche sur la base de la poésie de Yun Sôndo, est consacré au rapport entre le jayon et l'art : enfin la troisième qui s'attache aux traces architecturales des maisons de l'organisation de l'espace de la maison, du dedans et du dehors dans l'habiter traditionnel coréen, c'est que l'habitation idéale du sadaebu y est décrite en plusieurs aspects : la différence entre l'habitation de « famille » où on vit avec les autres et l'habitation de l'ermitage où le rapport à la nature est solitaire et réservé au lettré The aim of this thesis is to answer the question : what is architecture "in harmony in nature" ? In order to explore and to explain the idea of nature through the house in harmony with nature, I conduct a case study of the texts and the constructions of a Korean scholar Yun Sondo who lived in 17th century and who is a representative Sadaebu, an educated class based on the Confucian ideas. To show how Sadaebus considered the concept of nature and applied it to art and architecture, I try to enunciate architectural principles, taking account of the environment and human beings. This thesis is composed of three parts. The first part is devoted to studying the meaning of words indicating the idea of nature (jayon). I explain the terms in evoking the nature and in referring to the aesthetics in art and in literature of Korean scholars. In the second part, I conduct a deep analysis on the poetry of Sondo Yun, in particular focusing on the relationship between art and jayon in his works. Finally, in third part, using the concept of the architectural traces, the spatial organization of house, and the habitation inside and outside of the Korean traditional house, I describe the ideal house of Sadaebu in several aspects : the difference between « family » housing were we live others and « hermitage » housing where we are in the solitary relationship with the nature

    Le personnage de la femme guerrière, incarnation du mythe de l'androgyne, a fasciné les auteurs et le public pendant des siècles. Dans son épopée le Roland furieux (1532), Ludovico Ariosto s'inspire des viragos gréco-latines et médiévales telles que Penthésilée ou Thomyris. Mais chez l'auteur ferrarais, les guerrières Marphise et Bradamante, piliers du royaume de Charlemagne, acquièrent un statut plus important. Entre éloge et parodie, l'auteur ferrarais met en valeur leur ambivalence, oscillant entre prouesse et défaite, féminité et virilité, christianisme et paganisme. Les auteurs s'inscrivant dans la Querelle des femmes interrogent aussi la nature de ces héroïnes protéiformes qui génèrent dans le monde réel maintes conduites d'identification. Leur caractère multiforme favorise en outre probablement la transformation et l'acclimatation de Marphise et Bradamante à d'autres genres littéraires, réalisées par plusieurs auteurs post-ariostéens. Personnages transfictionnels par excellence, elles apparaissent même dans plusieurs œuvres de fiction du XXe siècle Throughout the centuries, the warrior woman, an incarnation of the myth of androgyny, has fascinated authors and readers. The heroines of the Orlando furioso (1532) from Ludovico Ariosto are influenced by Greco-Latin warrior women like Penthesilea or Thomyris. But Ariosto changes his viragos to main characters. His warrior women, Marphise and Bradamante, constitute the support and foundation of the Christian empire. By praising and caricaturing his heroines, the author underlines their heterogeneous nature, describing their prowess and defeat, their femininity and masculinity and their relationship towards Christianity and paganism. Authors whose works refer to the Querelle des femmes also analyze the characteristics of these proteiform protagonists who engender in the real world various manners of identification. Their multiform character is most likely also one of the reasons why authors succeeding Ariosto continue to adapt Marphise and Bradamante in different literary genres and keep transforming their original portrait. Marphise and Bradamante are transfictional characters who even appear in the narrative literature of the 20th century

    Le théâtre nondramatique désigne une conception et une pratique du théâtre propre aux avant-gardes historiques parisiennes, et plus particulièrement à Gertrude Stein, aux dadaïstes et aux surréalistes. Bien qu'elles soient davantage connues pour leurs autres pratiques comme la littérature, la poésie ou la peinture, voire pour leur refus de la catégorie d'art même, le théâtre semble cependant hanter leurs productions et leurs discours. Par le refus des conventions du théâtre dramatique - de la structure narrative à la présence de personnages et à celle d'acteurs pour les incarner - Gertrude Stein, Dada et le surréalisme développent tous à leur façon une oeuvre théâtrale critique qui forment ensemble un panorama de l'antithéâtralisme propre à la modernité, mais aussi un répertoire des alternatives et variantes pensées par rapport au théâtre. Les théâtres de Gertrude Stein, de Dada et des surréalistes sont analysés au prisme des révolutions scientifiques et philosophiques de leur époque, parmi lesquelles les théories de William James se révèlent fondamentales. Dans ce contexte, les "conversation" et "landscape plays" de Stein, les soirées dadaïstes et les nombreux manifestes, comme leurs pièces de théâtre sont compris comme autant de tentatives de redéfinir le théâtre. Le théâtre nondramatique est ainsi compris comme un ensemble de théâtralités fondées sur la redéfinition de l'acte théâtral, comme la primauté du verbe, celle de l'acte performatif, et de la refonte de la communication théâtrale entre l'oeuvre et le spectateur-lecteur. De nouvelles définitions du sujet et du théâtre se font alors jour au carrefour des trois concepts esthétiques fondamentaux pour les avant-gardes : la métâthéâtralité comprise comme métalepse ontologique, la simultanéité et enfin le primitivisme Nondramatic theater refers to a theatrical conception and an artistic practice developed by the historical Parisian avant-gardes, and more precisely by Gertrude Stein, Dadaists, and surrealists. Even though they are more commonly acknowledged for their other achievements in literature, poetry or painting, or even for their rejection of art as a category, yet, theater seems to haunt their productions and discourse. By their refusal of dramatic conventions - from the narrative structure, to the characters and the actors to incarnate them - Gertrude Stein, Dada and surrealism all develop their own critical theatrical works which form together a panorama of the antitheatricalism proper to the Modern era, but also some alternatives and variations to it thought in relation to theater. The plays by Gertrude Stein, Dada and Surreaslim are analyzed through the lens of the scientific and philosophical revolutions of their time, among which William James' theories are fundamental. Stein's conversation and landscape plays, but also the Dada evenings and the numerous manifestoes, can be considered as a variety of attempts to redefine what is theater. Nondramatic theater is thus understood as a set of theatricalities based on the redefinition of the theatrical art, like the primacy of speech, of the performative act, and the revision of the theatrical communication between the artwork and the spectator-reader. New definitions of the subject and of the theater reveal themselves at the crossroads of three aesthetical concepts that are fundamental for the avant-garde : metatheatricality understood as an ontological metalepsis, simultaneity, and finally Primitivism

    Cette thèse se propose d'étudier la production pour l'enfance d'une maison d'édition catholique italienne, la SEI (Società Editrice Internazionale), fondée à Turin en 1908 à partir de l'héritage de don Giovanni Bosco en 1854, et encore en activité en 2014. Les archives de cette maison d'édition ont été perdues, et, avec elles, des informations précieuses sur sa production pour l'enfance ; le but de ce travail a donc consisté à reconstituer le catalogue des livres pour la jeunesse, et à mettre en lumière les collections de la SEI. La thèse s'intitule Il catalogo perduto parce qu'elle a permis de restituer cette histoire, de rendre hommage à une maison d'édition plus que centenaire, et d'apporter une contribution à l'histoire de l'édition et de la littérature pour l'enfance italiennes. En six chapitres ont été retracés ici plus de cent ans de production pour l'enfance, depuis les origines jusqu'à nos jours, en passant ainsi d'un catalogue perdu à un catalogue retrouvé The dissertation is a research on the children's books edited by SEI (Società Editrice Internazionale), a catholic publisher founded in Turin in 1908, picking up the legacy of don Giovanni Bosco in 1854, and still active. The aim of this work is to recollect its children's books catalog and its different book series. Among the years, in fact, the publishers's archive had been lost, and with it, even many accurate informations about its publications devoted to children. So Il catalogo perduto (The Lost Catalog) is an attempt to reconstruct the history of SEI's production for children, paying tribute to a glorious publishing house, and to contribute to the history of Italian publishers and childhood literature.     Cette thèse combine l'approche des études cognitives et culturelles ainsi que de la traductologie afin d'examiner l'écriture, l'édition, la traduction et la réception internationale des romans policiers interculturels, en prenant comme modèle deux romans qui se déroulent en Nouvelle-Zélande par le romancier français Caryl Férey, Haka (1998) et Utu (2004). Nous situons d'abord Férey par rapport aux polars français du pacifique sud et aux polars néo-zélandais, et nous montrons que ses livres en diffèrent de façon significative, surtout à cause de son choix d'écrire de l'intérieur de la Nouvelle-Zélande et de la culture maorie. Dans une étude de cas qualitative fondée sur des interviews, nous situons Férey vis-à-vis de ses éditeurs et de ses lecteurs et nous identifions des thèmes récurrents dans son écriture avant d'identifier et d'analyser son emprunt à d'autres textes. Puis, au moyen d'une analyse de la traduction américaine d'Utu (2011), nous soutenons que certains choix culturels ont pour effet d'aliéner les lecteurs néo-zélandais, tandis que les choix linguistiques suggèrent que ceux qui lisent le texte en anglais ont moins l'opportunité de se sentir proche du texte sur les plans intellectuel et émotionnel. Mon analyse de la réception de ces œuvres, la première étude empirique longitudinale et interculturelle de l'influence d'un roman entier sur les opinions (culturelles) des lecteurs, montre que l'information fictionnelle est absorbée par les lecteurs et se mêle aux opinions et aux croyances portant sur une culture. Nous explorons des théories littéraires cognitives afin d'éclairer à la fois l'écriture et la lecture de la fiction interculturelle et du polar My research combines cognitive, cultural and translation studies approaches to examine the writing, publishing, translation, and international reception of cross-cultural crime fiction, taking as exemplars two novels set in New Zealand by french crime writer Caryl Férey: Haka (1998) and Utu (2004). I first situate Férey against corpus norms of South Pacific french crime fiction and of New Zealand crime fiction and show that he differs in significant ways, not least in his choice to write from within New Zealand and Māori culture. In an interview-based qualitative case study situating Férey alongside his publishers and his readers, I identify recurring themes in his writing before identifying and analysing his borrowing from other texts. In analysing the american english translation of Utu (2011), I then argue that cultural choices alienate New Zealand readers, while linguistic choices mean readers in english have less opportunity to connect intellectually and emotionally with the text. My reader reception study, which is the first empirical, longitudinal, cross-cultural, novel-length reception study of the influence of a text on readers' (cultural) opinions, shows with statistical significance that fictional information is absorbed into factual beliefs and opinions about a culture. I use approaches from cognitive literary studies to illuminate both the writing and reading of cross-cultural and crime fiction
