This paper examines the relationship between inflation and economic growth in Turkey. Quarterly data covers the period of 1987:1-2003:2. According to the results from this study, inflation affects economic growth negatively. A 10% increase in inflation rate would reduce growth rate by 1.9%. Furthermore, Granger causality analysis indicates that a inidirectional causality runs from inflation to growth.
