Ce livre réunit les témoignages d'Edith BOISSONNAS, poétesse suisse (1904-1989), de Henri MICHAUX et de Jean PAULHAN, consacrés à leurs premières expériences de cette drogue psychotrope, en janvier 1955. Le dimanche 2 janvier 1955, la poétesse suisse Edith Boissonnas retrouve son ami et éditeur Jean Paulhan devant le 16, rue Séguier, où vit Henri Michaux. Dans la poche de Paulhan, des ampoules de mescaline, hallucinogène que lui a procuré le neuropsychiatre Julian de Ajuriaguerra. Après cette journée inaugurale, l'expérimentation sera renouvelée deux fois, les 3 et 9 janvier. Dans les notes (inédites) de son Journal pour moi seule, Boissonnas rend compte de ces expérimentations dont Michaux résumera la déception : « J.P. en cinq mots dit notre pensée à tous. "On n'en sort pas fier". Des trois que nous étions, aucun n'avait donc pris cela avec révérence, mais plutôt comme un tour de prestidigitateur. » Ces journées de janvier 1955 vont pourtant être la source d'une constellation d'écrits, ici réunis par ordre chronologique : échanges épistolaires, proses descriptives, notes cliniques, micro-récits fictionnels, fragments d'essais et poèmes documentaires. Chacun s'acquittera également d'un texte abouti : Boissonnas publie « Mescaline » (1955), Paulhan écrit « Petit rapport sur une expérience » (1955) et Michaux livre Misérable miracle (1956), premier volume de son œuvre consacrée aux drogues, comptant encore quatre ouvrages et une centaine de dessins.

    Other ; Cette thèse a pour objectif premier d’analyser les images rhétoriques (procédant par analogie) contenues dans un corpus d’ouvrages de vulgarisation scientifique ayant trait à la physique (astrophysique et physique quantique). Privilégiant une optique pluridisciplinaire, cet ouvrage s’applique à constituer - puis démontrer - l’extrême importance de ce cadre référentiel. Cette étude met également en lumière la caractéristique essentielle de la vulgarisation francophone, tout en insistant sur la nécessité de développer l’entreprise de vulgarisation scientifique. Les différentes visions proposées par les scientifiques eux-mêmes concernant notre monde, la valeur de leur imagerie ou de la composante épistémologique dans tout acte de connaissance font également partie intégrante de cette «réflexion», «véritable» reflet de notre savoir.

    Other ; The different aspects of magic became an essential ingredient of bucolic universe since the origin of pastoral genre. Within an idealized and utopic frame, magic built a bridge towards transcendence, and balanced the disharmony created by human love emotions within Arcadian microcosm. This concept of magic became infused to Sixteenth century pastoral novel through Neoplatonism and Hermetic tradition. From a narratological point of view, magic episodes became indispensable to complete the philosophical meaning of the works. Lope de Vega, in La Arcadia, published in 1598, fully participated from this tradition, though he will approach the convention from a particular dramatic-like perspective. And it was precisely in pastoral comedias where the Fénix ends up deconstructing bucolic code to remodel it as a mere vestige of the tradition and treat magic as a humorous ingredient.

    Other ; Departing from the concepts of visualism and theatricality understood as the base of the world view of an epoch, a reflection about the presence of a pictorial-based expressiveness in the performance of Lope’s comedias de santos is suggested. Besides the analysis of the suitable contexts and staging procedures associated to the appearance of sacred images on stage, static performances, closer to painting than to drama, are also taken into account as a device which contribute to create that transcendent meaning which is essential to hagiographical comedias.
