    O biênio de 2016-2017 marca o duplo centenário da publicação original da Viagem à Itália, de Goethe. Depois de décadas de distância, Goethe finalmente publica esse que seria seu testemunho formativo, a autobiografia de uma transformação radical. A história do texto e da viagem que lhe deu origem revela, porém, que esse enredo não é tão simples e unidirecional, mas está permeado de hesitações e retomadas, cenas míticas e retornos anacrônicos. A intenção desse artigo é mapear, assim, as múltiplas camadas - para usar o modelo geológico de Reinhart Koselleck - de tempo e, principalmente, de extemporaneidade que se entretecem no relato italiano. Pretendemos chamar a atenção para algumas (outras) riquezas da obra goethiana: seu intenso páthos memorativo, sua oposição aos grandes de seu século, sua entronização na literatura alemã, entre outras. The biennium 2016-2017 marks the bicentenary of the original publication of Goethe's Italian Journey. After decades, Goethe finally issues the last testimony of his Bildung, the autobiography of a radical transformation. Yet, the history of the text and of the original journey reveals that this story is far from being as simple and unidirectional as it seems, but is imbued with hesitations and retakes, mythical scenes and anachronous returns. This article's aim is to map out the multiple layers - utilizing Reinhart Koselleck's geological model - of time and, mainly, of untimeliness that are interwoven in Goethe's Italian report. We intend to draw attention to some (other) treasures of Goethe‟s work: its strong memorial pathos, its opposition to great men and works of his time, its enthronement in German literature, among others.

    No trabalho de Bertolt Brecht relacionado com o cinema pode-se distinguir quatro fases: 1. Início dos anos vinte - argumentos, guiões para filmes publicitários e de aventura. Os únicos projectos realizados: Mysterien eines Frisiersalons de Erich Engel, 1923 (Brecht colaborou na realização). O seu argumento Robinsonade auf Assuncion escrito em conjunto com Arnolt Bronnen foi alterado para o filme SOS. Die Insel der Tränen (1923). 2. Início dos anos trinta - processo contra a companhia Nero-Film para recuperar os direitos de autor concedidos para a versão fílmica da Ópera dos três vinténs; realizada por Georg Wilhelm Pabst em 1930/31 (argumento: Laszlo Vajda, Leo Lania, Béla Balázs). Primeiro documento cinematográfico de uma peça de Brecht: Mann ist Mann (Bert Brecht, 1931); o filme ideológico (esteticamente infl. por Eisenstein): Kuhle Wampe oder wem gehört die Welt? realizado por Slatan Dudow em 1931 (argumento: Bert Brecht e Ernst Ottwalt). 3. Exílio americano – para ganhar dinheiro Brecht volta a escrever argumentos e guiões para a indústria de Hollywood. Dos ca. de 50 textos produzidos só um foi aproveitado para o filme anti-fascista Hangmen also die (Fritz Lang, 1943), no qual Brecht colaborou no argumento. È considerado uma das produções mais importantes deste género junto com Casablanca (M. Curtiz, 1943). 4. Produção pós-guerra - guiões para Mutter Courage (1952) e Herr Puntila und sein Knecht Matti (1955); realização das versões fílmicas da comedia Katzgraben (1957) de Erwin Strittmatter e da sua peça Die Mutter (1958), encenadas pelo Berliner Ensemble.

    Para Vilém Flusser as imagens técnicas são como "aspiradores de pó" que sugam toda a história: elas aceleram o tempo e transformam o todo em imagens congeladas. Trata-se para ele de uma imagem que contém a realização de uma redenção judaico-cristã. As imagens técnicas permitem a superação do que ele via como a clausura do mundo histórico, marcado pela textolatria. Elas permitem remontar ludicamente o universo a partir de sua decomposição imagética, como se as imagens (constituídas de "calculi", pixels) fossem pedras de lego. O trabalho apresenta essa escatologia mística judaica de Flusser sobre as imagens mágicas redentoras, levando em conta também o seu credo (que ele também considerava judaico), segundo o qual, ao invés de pensarmos na imortalidade das almas deveríamos apostar que "sobreviveremos na memória dos outros". Que memória seria essa e o que significaria sobreviver em um mundo pós-histórico, esvaziado de sua visão temporal, são algumas das questões que o texto desenvolve. Comparando com algumas ideias e conceitos de Walter Benjamin, o texto procura mostrar como Flusser procurou responder à demanda benjaminiana segundo a qual o surgimento de novas técnicas impõe-nos repensar o que a morte e o amor seriam hoje em dia. For Vilém Flusser the technical images should be seen as "vacuum cleaners" that suck all history: they accelerate time and metamorphose everything into frozen images. For him we should see those images as the concretization of the Judaic-Christian redemption concept. Technical images allow the overcoming of what he saw as the imprisoning inside the historical world, characterized by textolatry. They allow to logically rebuild the universe departing from its imagistic decomposition, as if images (built by "calculi", pixels) were lego bricks. The work presents Flusser's Jewish mystical eschatology about magical redemptive images taking also in account his credo (which he judged also to be Jewish), that said that instead of consider the immortality of the soul, we should bet that "we shall survive within the memory of others". What kind of memory would it be and what would it mean to survive in a post-historical world are some of the questions this text poses. Comparing with some of Walter Benjamin's ideas and concepts, it shows how Flusser proposed to answer to the demand of Benjamin, who wrote that the new techniques imposed the necessity to rethink today the meaning of death and love.

    The author offers us analyzes that constitute a work of true archeology of the image. Marcos Hill questions the works "Tropical" by Anita Malfatti and "A Negra", by Tarsila do Amaral far beyond their plastic and pictorial qualities, carrying out a historical, sociological, anthropological and gender investigation that makes possible understanding and deconstruction of the place reserved by modern art for black women and mulattoes in Brazil. What contradictions are involved in a modern art that seeks not universalism, but primitive and original elements in order to sustain the formation of the Brazilian social imaginary? And above all, what did the anthropomorphized iconography of an edenic exaltation converge in the election of these figures as emblems of national identity? These are some questions that the author develops in order to make the book a fundamental study not only for the History of Art, but for the relativization of a univocal historiographic discourse

    The paper aims to discuss the relations between culture, power and language in Bachmann’s story "Undine geht". Undine is a water creature that lives among humans for a period of time and this fact allows her to criticize them, their way of life, of love and of relate to others. Undine’s critique is that the discourse or language shows the domination that is present in the human relations, for example, in the submission of the individual to a collectivity, as well as in the relations between men and women. She condemns this society which is regulated by money, social roles, which are false representations and generate a repression for social and individual life. This is why Undine denounces strongly the humans and their society. But she also invites the humans to know themselves and to search for the truth. Only this can liberate them from repression and give them the possibility to live a dignified life.

    Este artigo aborda parte dos resultados de uma pesquisa mais abrangente que objetivou compreender (inter)relações que se estabelecem entre práticas de leitura e escrita em alemão e em português de crianças do Ensino Fundamental e o contexto de língua de herança em que estão inseridas. Quanto à dimensão teórica, o estudo filia-se à área da Linguística Aplicada em diálogo com a Educação em contextos interculturais. A pesquisa, de base qualitativo-interpretativista, teve como locus uma escola municipal, em zona rural do município de Blumenau, Santa Catarina. Quanto aos procedimentos metodológicos, foram utilizadas duas propostas de produção de narrativas escritas, uma em português e outra em alemão. Os resultados sugerem que (i) as crianças têm domínio restrito de uma estrutura narrativa e aplicam-na parcialmente nas produções em ambas as línguas; (ii) o vocabulário e as estruturas gramaticais são característicos das práticas linguageiras cotidianas; iii) os estudantes desconhecem ou não internalizaram regras ortográficas, especialmente da língua alemã. A partir dos resultados da pesquisa afirma-se a importância de se garantir, na educação formal, o aprendizado da língua de herança, ao lado do português, em contextos bi/multilíngues similares. This article discusses some of the results of a broader research which aimed at understanding (inter) relationships established between reading and writing practices in German and Portuguese languages of primary school children and the context of inheritance language where they are inserted. For the theoretical dimension, the study follows the perspectives of Applied Linguistics and Education, focusing intercultural contexts. This qualitative-interpretative research had as setting a municipal school located in a rural area of the city of Blumenau, Santa Catarina. Regarding the methodological procedures, two proposals were used to produce written narratives, one in Portuguese and the other in German language. The results suggest that (i) children have limited dominance of the narrative structure, applying it partially in productions in both languages; (ii) vocabulary and grammatical structures are characteristics of everyday ordinary language practices; (iii) students are not aware of or they have not internalized spelling rules especially in German. The results of the research affirm the importance of guaranteeing the learning of the inheritance language in formal education, alongside Portuguese, in similar bi/multilingual contexts. Der vorliegende Artikel beschäftigt sich mit den Ergebnissen einer Forschung, die die Zusammenhänge zwischen Lese- und Schreibpraktiken in den Sprachen Deutsch und Portugiesisch von Grundschulkindern untersucht hat sowie den interkulturellen Kontext, in dem sie leben. Im Hinblick auf den theoretischen Hintergrund siedelt sich die Studie im Bereich der Angewandten Linguistik und Bildung in interkulturellen Kontexten an. Sie repräsentiert eine qualitativ-interpretative Forschung, die an einer öffentlichen Schule im ländlichen Gebiet von Blumenau, Santa Catarina, durchgeführt wurde. Basis der Studie waren schriftliche Erzählungen, eine in der portugiesischen und eine in der deutschen Sprache. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass (i) die Kinder nur beschränkt eine narrative Struktur in beiden Sprachen beherrschen; (ii) der Wortschatz und die Grammatikstrukturen charakteristisch für die Alltagssprache sind; (iii) Rechtschreibregeln nicht verinnerlicht oder nicht gelernt worden sind, besonders in der deutschen Sprache. Aus den Forschungsergebnissen lässt sich ableiten, dass es wichtig ist, in mehrsprachigen Kontexten die Herkunftssprache der Kinder, neben dem Portugiesischen, in der Schulausbildung zu fördern.
