Pourtant, c’est clairement le même texte: les mêmes mots, au même nombre, dans la même séquence. Six variantes entre les deux formes du texte, linguistiquement petites, en modifient profondément la portée. L’article propose une explication de cette différence survenue dans l’histoire du texte. Isa 66:5 is an oracle of condemnation in the Hebrew Bible, of salvation in Old Greek. Nevertheless, it must have been originally one and the same prophetical word: the same words and the same number of words in the same sequence. Six variant readings distinguish the two textual forms. Linguistically they are small differences but they have a great impact on the interpretation. This article proposes an explanation of the important difference arising at some point in the history of the text.
