A hardy band of government protesters who've staked out their remote 16 square miles of brush, they live off the land, minus electricity or running water, wasting little and bartering for goods and services. From earth mothers to war vets, divorced dads to teen runaways, these fierce individualists have found community, staving off both right-wing cops and marauding radical vegans.
