[Dt.:] Das Poetry Translation Centre ist eine Einrichtung aus Großbritannien, die ausgewählte Gedichte von internationalen Autoren ins Englische übersetzen. Ein Abschnitt widmet sich der Autorin Nirmala Putul, die ihre Gedichte in der 'tribal language' Santali verfasst. Sie wurde 1971 geboren und veröffentlichte 2004 ihren ersten Lyrik-Band. Ihr Gedicht "Mountain Child" steht sowohl in Hindi als auch in verschiedenen englischen Versionen zur Verfügung. - [Engl.:] The Poetry Translation Centre was established by the poet Sarah Maguire in 2004 to translate contemporary poetry from Africa, Asia and Latin America to a high literary standard. One section deals with poetry of Nirmala Putul. She was born in 1972 in a Santhali Adivasi (tribal) family and writes in the Indian tribal language, Santali. A collection of her poems Nagare Ki Tarah Bajte Hain Shabad (Words resound like drums) was published in 2004. Available are Hindi and English versions of her poem "Mountain Child"
