    Die Zeitschrift Pandaemonium Germanicum erscheint zweimal jährlich und versteht sich als Forum für die wissenschaftliche Diskussion in den verschiedenen Bereichen der internationalen Germanistik, nämlich der Literatur- und Übersetzungswissenschaft, Linguistik, DaF und Kulturstudien. Die Zeitschrift wird von der deutschen Abteilung der FFLCH-USP (Universität São Paulo) seit 1997 herausgegeben und will zur Verbreitung unveröffentlichter Forschungen von GermanistInnen aus Brasilien und anderen Ländern, sowie zur Förderung des Dialogs zwischen der Germanistik und anderen Wissensbereichen beitragen.

    Neste texto, iremos proceder a uma exposição crítica sobre a peça de teatro de Elfriede Jelinek, Die Kontrakte des Kaufmanns, que visa apresentar os princípios de composição literária utilizados pela escritora na sua proposta de um "drama parasitário". Ao mesmo tempo, vamos procurar resgatar o conjunto de referências contextuais que precedem essa teatralização. Para tanto, começaremos por mostrar o contexto de incubação da peça, passando, em seguida, a introduzir a aproximação irônica e paródica que a escritora conduz sobre o mecanismo de legitimação e naturalização do mercado e suas operações financeiras, em particular pela metafísica econométrica e pelo senso comum mediático. Num terceiro ponto, vamos apresentar os procedimentos especificamente literários com que a escritora vai revelar a lógica da economia capitalista como regime de aniquilação de corpos. Por fim, resumimos a intenção da escritora em usar o teatro como dispositivo de ativação dos espectadores pelo "horror". In this paper, we present a critical exposition on the play Die Kontrakte des Kaufmanns, by Elfriede Jelinek, which aims to present the literary composition principles used by the writer in his proposition of a "parasitical drama". Concurrently, we will seek to retrieve the set of contextual references that precedes that dramatization. For this purpose, we will start by exposing the play's incubation context, then moving to the introduction of the author’s ironic and parodic approach on the market's legitimization and naturalization mechanisms and its financial operations, in particular by econometric metaphysics and the media's common sense. On a third point, we will present the specifically literary procedures by which the writer reveals the logic of the capitalist economy as a regime of bodies’ annihilation. Finally, we summarize the writer's intention of using the theater as a viewers activation device by way of "horror". In diesem Aufsatz geht es um eine kritische Darstellung des Stücks von Elfriede Jelinek Die Kontrakte des Kaufmanns. Dabei werden wir versuchen, die Grundsätze der literarischen Komposition der Schriftstellerin in ihrem Konzept eines "parasitären Dramas" nachzuvollziehen. Zugleich werden wir die kontextuellen Hinweise, die dieser Dramatisierung vorangehen, erläutern. Demzufolge werden wir zunächst den ursprünglichen Kontext dieses Stücks beschreiben, um dann auf den ironischen und parodistischen Ansatz der Autorin über den Legitimations- und Einbürgerungmechanismus des Marktes und seiner Finanzoperationen einzugehen, die sich insbesondere mittels der ökonometrischen Metaphysik und den Gemeinsinn, der durch die Medien verbreitet wird, bemerkbar machen. Ein dritter Punkt soll die spezifisch literarischen Verfahren beleuchten, die die Schriftstellerin benutzt um die Logik der kapitalistischen Wirtschaft als Gerät der Vernichtung der Körper zu verraten. Abschließend fassen wir die Absicht der Autorin zusammen, die Zuschauer im Theater durch den "Horror" wachzurütteln.

    Dea Loher (1964-), dramaturga contemporânea alemã, propõe ao seu leitor/espectador

    histórias que retratam a sociedade, conduzindo seu público a uma reflexão acerca de temas

    inerentes à realidade na qual eles se encontram inseridos. Através de um estilo próprio e

    peculiar, de uma estética que combina elementos vários, Loher retoma o teatro político

    enfocando os menos favorecidos, com o objetivo de criar espaços para que seu interlocutor

    encontre possibilidades de mudança. A escritora dá vida a personagens que, livres de uma

    utopia salvadora, têm a opção da rebeldia ou da resignação até o aniquilamento total, garantindo

    uma vertente trágica à escrita da dramaturga. Dea Loher compila histórias diversas que, embora

    retratem figuras descaracterizadas e tristes, não as coloca em posição de vítimas, mas enfatizam

    as múltiplas perspectivas que as levaram à ação ou ao ostracismo. Uma abordagem que

    privilegia as micronarrativas e as relações de poder que as circundam, além de um

    questionamento acerca do tênue limite que há entre realidade e ficção. Dea Loher (1964-), a contemporary German playwright, proposes to her

    reader/spectator stories that depict the society, leading the public to a reflection about themes

    that are intrinsic to the reality they are part of. Through a very unique and peculiar style, also

    through an aesthetic that combines different elements, Loher rethinks political theater

    emphasizing the disadvantaged, aiming to create spaces so that her interlocutor finds

    possibilities of transformation. The writer creates characters that, free from a sort of saving

    utopia, have the option of rebelling or resigning until total disintegration, which guarantees a

    tragic tendency to the text. Dea Loher compiles a different range of stories that presents sad and

    mischaracterized figures, without having them play the role of victims, but emphasizing

    multiple perspectives that lead them to action or to ostracism. An approach that prioritizes the

    micronarratives and its surrounding relations of power, including questioning the thin line

    between reality and fiction.

    The article is based on two previous publications (BAßLER 2013a; 2013b) and analyses realism as narrative procedure in our present; for this purpose, examples from German-speaking literature and television are discussed. The author ascertains, both in the so called high-brow literature and in genres as fantasy and German TV-serials a kind of realism that invokes and confirms the current image of reality and prevalent codes of meaning by conventionalized frames, no matter whether the contents would be classified as realistic or fantastic. This sort of literature is successful because it enables comfortable reading and, at the same time, claims the legitimacy of high literary authenticity. An alternative to this international style of trivial realism seem to be, on the one hand, postmodern and pop-cultural works that expose being constructed by means of quotations and, on the other, procedures like "short cuts" which dissect linear metonymic narrative and assemble it to form a new, complex and meaningful totality Der Artikel beruht auf zwei früheren Publikationen (BAßLER 2013a; 2013b) und analysiert den Realismus als Erzählverfahren in der Gegenwart; hierzu werden Beispiele aus der deutschsprachigen Literatur und dem Fernsehen behandelt. Der Autor diagnostiziert sowohl bei der sogenannten anspruchsvollen Literatur als auch in Genres wie Fantasy und deutschen TV-Serien einen Realismus, der das gängige Wirklichkeitsbild und die geltenden Sinncodes der Gegenwart mit konventionalisierten frames aufruft und bestätigt, gleichgültig ob die Werke sich inhaltlich realistisch, oder fantastisch geben. Diese Art von Literatur ist erfolgreich, weil sie eine bequeme Lektüre ermöglicht und sich gleichzeitig durch einen hochliterarischen Authentizitätsanspruch zu legitimieren versucht. Als Alternative zu diesem internationalen Stil eines trivialen Realismus erscheinen einerseits postmoderne und popkulturelle Werke, die ihre Zitathaftigkeit offen ausstellen und andererseits Verfahren wie short cuts, die das linear-metonymische Erzählen zerschneidet und zu einer neuen, komplexen und bedeutungsvollen Gesamtheit zusammenfügt. Este artigo é baseado em duas publicações anteriores (BAßLER 2013a; 2013b) e analisa o realismo como procedimento narrativo do nosso presente; para esse fim, são tratadas obras da literatura de expressão alemã e da televisão. O autor constata, tanto na chamada alta literatura quanto em gêneros como fantasia e séries televisivas um realismo que invoca e confirma, mediante frames convencionalizados, a imagem corrente da realidade e os códigos de significado vigentes do presente, indiferente da apresentação do conteúdo como realista ou fantástico. Este tipo de literatura é bem-sucedida porque possibilita uma leitura fácil e, ao mesmo tempo, reclama legitimidade através de uma autenticidade de alta literatura. Como alternativa a este estilo internacional de realismo trivial se oferecem, por um lado, obras pós-modernas e da cultura pop que expõem abertamente ser construídas por citações e, por outro, procedimentos como short cuts que dissecam a narrativa linear metonímica e a reconfiguram numa nova totalidade complexa e significativa.

    Este artigo explora a produção e transmissão de ilustrações que Candido Portinari fez para uma edição norte-americana do livro de Hans Staden sobre o Brasil no século XVI. Realizados em 1941, os desenhos caíram em esquecimento por quase sessenta anos até a sua publicação póstuma em 1998 no Brasil. Este artigo argumenta que o destino dos desenhos é sintomático da articulação da memória cultural social do passado colonial brasileiro. Com base na análise da recepção crítica e do repertório visual dos desenhos, sugere que as ilustrações de Portinari divergem de representações tradicionais da morte dos povos indígenas por desafiarem a temporalidade subjacente às molduras nacionais da memória colonial. This article explores the production and transmission of illustrations Candido Portinari made for a North-American edition of Hans Staden's book on sixteenth-century Brazil. Made in 1941, the drawings fell into oblivion for almost sixty years, until their posthumous publication in 1998 in Brazil. The article argues that the destiny of the drawings is symptomatic for the articulation of the cultural memory of the colonial past in Brazil. Based upon the analysis of their critical reception and visual repertoire, it suggests that the drawings diverge from traditional representations of the death of indigenous people by challenging the temporality underlying the national framework of colonial memory.

    Zichronos de Glückl von Hameln, uma obra de caráter memorialista escrita por uma matriarca judia de Hamburgo na passagem do século XVII para o século XVIII, sob o impacto do advento da heresia sabataísta e da Guerra dos Trinta Anos, antecipa, por meio das perplexidades e das dúvidas que enuncia, um novo topos literário judaico-alemão, fundado não mais nas certezas da doutrina religiosa e dos ensinamentos tradicionais, mas na percepção da distância crescente que separa da vida tal doutrina, na percepção do abismo que se abre entre o mundo tal qual ele deveria ser e o mundo tal qual ele é, e que, portanto, parte em busca por maneiras ou respostas para se franquear tal distância, ou se volta, simplesmente, sobre o crescente estranhamento e sobre a crescente alienação. É sobre este imenso vazio e sobre estas interrogações que se construirão, como pontes dirigidas ao infinito e fadadas a nunca alcançarem seus destinos, as obras-chave da literatura judaica moderna dos séculos XIX e XX. Se o romance judaico-alemão moderno surge como representação ou como tentativa de superação deste abismo, a narrativa autobiográfica de Glückl von Hameln pode ser compreendida como um prelúdio a este gênero fundado na incompreensão, na perplexidade e na nostalgia pelo mundo impregnado de sentido. Zichronos, by Glückl von Hameln, a memoir written by a Jewish matriarch from Hamburg at the end of the 17th and at the beginning of the 18th century, under the impact of sabataism and of the War of 30 Years, anticipates a new German-Jewish literary topos by means of the perplexities and doubts it represents. This topos is no longer based on the certainties of the religious doctrine and of traditional wisdom, but on the perception that an abyss exists between the world as it is and the world as it should be. Thus, literature searches for ways to bridge the distance between metaphysical doctrines and human realities, or represents the increasing estrangement and alienation ensuing from this distance. Key works of German-Jewish Literature in the 19th and 20th centuries face this abyss and represent it in a variety of ways. Glückl von Hameln’s autobiography can be understood as a prelude to this genre, founded on incomprehension, perplexity and nostalgia for a world impregnated with sense.

    Este trabalho tem como objetivo refletir acerca do ensino da língua alemã em escolas públicas com foco na promoção do letramento crítico. Para tanto, partimos da definição de Letramento e de Letramento Crítico, articulando o último com as atividades desenvolvidas por graduandos em Letras-alemão no âmbito do Programa Institucional de Iniciação à Docência (PIBID) - subprojeto Letras-alemão - em duas escolas estaduais do interior paulista. As reflexões apresentadas basearam-se nos planejamentos e nos diários reflexivos dos licenciandos e nas percepções da coordenadora do subprojeto. Os resultados apontam para o potencial do ensino de alemão em escolas públicas brasileiras, não apenas para a aprendizagem de um novo idioma, mas também para uma formação crítica e cidadã dos alunos. This paper aims to reflect about the German language teaching in public schools focused on promoting critical literacy. The starting point was the definition of literacy and literacy critic, relating the latter to the activities developed by undergraduate students in German Studies under the Institutional Program of Introduction to Teaching (PIBID) - subproject German Studies - in two state schools in the State of São Paulo. The reflections presented were based on students´ lesson plans and reflective diaries and on the perceptions of the subproject coordinator. The results point to the potential of the German education in brazilian public schools, not only in order to promote a new language learning, but also as a critical training and civic education.

    Este trabalho reúne e compara relatos de pesquisas, publicados no Brasil e na Alemanha, que tratam de constelações plurilíngues em que o alemão é uma das três ou mais línguas faladas ou aprendidas no contexto analisado. Trata-se de uma pesquisa bibliográfica, tanto de viés quantitativo, por observar quantos artigos a respeito foram publicados no Brasil e na Europa nos últimos dez anos, como também qualitativo, na medida em que busca pontos de convergência e de divergência entre eles e recomendações teóricas recentes, e também entre as próprias temáticas trabalhadas nesses artigos. Primeiramente, é estabelecido um elo entre três pontos-chave da didática do plurilinguismo. Então, são apresentadas questões específicas da pós-modernidade e as linhas gerais dos artigos aqui analisados, seguidas de três seções justapondo cada um dos pontos-chave com os respectivos artigos em que são abordados. A seguir, são comentadas perspectivas do ensino de alemão em contexto plurilíngue de outras partes do mundo. As considerações finais retomam alguns pontos teóricos apontados ao longo do texto e apresentam sugestões para a melhoria do ensino de alemão no Brasil. This work gathers and compares research reports published in Brazil and in Germany which deal with multilingual constellations, in which German is one of the three or more spoken or learned languages in the analyzed context. It is a bibliographical research of quantitative character, inasmuch as the number of articles published on the theme in the last ten years is considered, and also of qualitative character, for consonance and dissonance points between the articles and recent theoretical recommendations are sought, as well as consonance and dissonance points among the articles themselves. First of all, a link among three key points of the multilingual education is established. Then a general overview of the analyzed articles is presented, followed by three sections in which the key points are confronted with the articles where each one of them is approached. Thereon, perspectives of German teaching in multilingual contexts of other countries are discussed. The closing remarks resume some theoretical points highlighted throughout the text and present suggestions for improving German teaching in Brazil. Diese Arbeit stellt in Brasilien und in Deutschland veröffentlichte Forschungsberichte zusammen, die mehrsprachige Konstellationen erfassen, bei denen Deutsch eine der drei oder mehr im analysierten Kontext gesprochenen oder gelernten Sprachen ist, und vergleicht diese Artikel. Es handelt sich um eine bibliographische Forschung, sowohl quantitativ, indem die Zahl der in den letzten zehn Jahren veröffentlichten Artikel berücksichtigt wird, als auch qualitativ, indem Annäherungs- und Distanzierungspunkte zwischen den in den Artikeln behandelten Themen und zwischen diesen und neuen theoretischen Vorschlägen gesucht werden. Zuerst wird zwischen drei Kernpunkten der Mehrsprachigkeitsdidaktik eine Verbindung hergestellt. Dann wird ein Überblick über die analysierten Artikel präsentiert, und daraufhin stellen drei Sektionen die vorher erwähnten Kernpunkte den jeweiligen Artikeln gegenüber. Des Weiteren werden Perspektiven des Deutschunterrichts im mehrsprachigen Kontext in anderen Ländern diskutiert. Das Fazit nimmt einige theoretischen Grundlagen wieder auf und präsentiert Vorschläge zur Verbesserung des Deutschunterrichts in Brasilien

    Embora a linguagem oral seja fundamental em nossas vidas, pois é por intermédio dela que expressamos nossos sentimentos, pensamentos, desejos, experiências e construímos conhecimento, pouco se fala sobre ela na educação infantil. Nesse sentido, amparados na teoria dos gêneros textuais, na perspectiva do interacionismo sociodiscursivo (ISD) (BRONCKART 2012; SCHNEUWLY/ DOLZ 2013), elaboramos uma sequência didática (SD) com base em dois contos de animais. Por meio dessa proposta intervencionista buscamos aprimorar a ordem do ensino e aprendizagem em um contexto escolar composto por crianças de faixa etária entre 03 e 04 anos de idade, os quais estão inseridos na rede particular de ensino. Para este artigo intentamos descrever e avaliar as configurações da SD elaborada, bem como analisar a presença de capacidades de linguagem. Além disso, apresentaremos resultados parciais das produções orais dos alunos. Ao analisarmos a SD, verificamos a predominância das capacidades de significação (15%) e das capacidades linguístico-discursivas (12,5%). Além disso, constatamos que a SD provê atividades para as produções orais das crianças, tendo em vista que os dois contos escolhidos e as atividades os envolvem emocionalmente, psicologicamente, bem como cognitivamente. Além de recontar a história, os alunos passaram a utilizar o vocabulário e até determinadas expressões em seu cotidiano Though oral language is essential in our lives, since through it we express our feelings, thoughts, desires, experiences and build knowledge, little has been said about it in early childhood education. In this way, grounded on text genre theory, from the socio-discursive interactionist perspective (BRONCKART 2012; SCHNEUWLY/ DOLZ 2013), we developed a didactic sequence (DS) based on two animal tales. Through this interventionist proposal, we concentrate on improving teaching and learning in a private kindergarten in which the participants are 3 to 4 year-old children. For this article we aim at describing and evaluating the configuration of the DS as well as analyzing it in terms of language capacities. In addition, we present partial results of the children’s oral productions. Analyzing the DS, we found a prevalence of significance capacities (15%) and the linguistic-discursive capacities (12.5%). Our results show that the DS provides activities for children’s oral production, considering that the two chosen stories and the activities involve them emotionally, psychologically and cognitively. In addition to retell the story, students began using the vocabulary and even certain expressions in their daily lives. Obwohl die mündliche Kommunikation wichtig in unserem Leben ist, denn durch sie drücken wir unsere Gefühle, Gedanken, Wünsche, Erfahrungen und Wissen aus, wird darüber noch wenig im Kindergarten gesprochen. Deshalb wurde eine didaktische Unterrichtssequenz (DS) auf der Basis von zwei Tiermärchen entwickelt. Diese DS wurde von der Theorie der Textgenres gestützt aus der Perspektive des sozio-diskursiven Interaktionismus (SDI) (BRONCKART 2012/ SCHNEUWLY/ DOLZ 2013). Durch diesen interventionistischen Vorschlag möchten wir das Lehren und Lernen einer Kindergartengruppe (Kinder zwischen 03 und 04 Jahren) von einer Privatschule verbessern. In dem vorliegenden Artikel möchten wir eine DS beschreiben und diskutieren, sowie die Sprachfähigkeiten analysieren. Darüber hinaus präsentieren wir Teilergebnisse der mündlichen Kommunikation der Schüler. Als wir die DS analysierten, entdeckten wir eine Dominanz der Sinnfähigkeiten (15%) und der sprachlich-diskursiven Fähigkeiten (12,5%). Außerdem fanden wir, dass die DS zur mündlichen Leistung der Kinder beitrug, wenn man bedenkt, dass beide ausgewählten Geschichten und Aktivitäten sie emotional, psychologisch und kognitiv forderten. Außer der Nacherzählung der Geschichte benutzten die Schüler den Wortschatz und sogar bestimmte Ausdrücke in ihrem Alltag weiter.

    O presente artigo advoga a necessidade de um trabalho voltado para o desenvolvimento de estratégias de autonomia que possam contribuir para a conscientização de estudantes de Alemão como Língua Estrangeira (ALE), em contexto universitário, sobre sua importância no processo de aprendizagem. Para tal, foi desenvolvida uma pesquisa junto a estudantes de graduação em Letras, Português-Alemão, de uma Universidade no Rio de Janeiro, com vistas a se verificar a influência do uso de recursos metodológicos como consultoria individual e diário de aprendizagem sobre sua percepção acerca de aspectos relacionados a aprendizado autônomo e centralidade do aprendiz no processo de aprendizagem/aquisição de ALE. Assim, nesse trabalho, serão discutidos não somente os resultados dessa pesquisa, mas também serão apresentados os principais pressupostos teóricos que balizaram a análise dos dados. This article advocates the need for a work dedicated to the development of autonomy strategies that can contribute to the awareness of students of German as a Foreign Language on its importance in the learning process at the university context. To this purpose, a survey was developed under graduate students of German at a university in Rio de Janeiro, in order to investigate the influence of the use of methodological resources such as the individual advising and the learning diary over their perception of aspects related to autonomous learning and the central role of learners in the learning/ acquisition process of German as Foreign Language. Thus, this work will discuss not only the results of this research, but will also present the main theoretical assumptions that guided the data analysis. Der vorliegende Beitrag unterstreicht die Notwendigkeit einer Arbeit, die sich mit der Entwicklung von Strategien zur Förderung der Autonomie von DaF-Lernenden beschäftigt. Der Beitrag präsentiert eine Studie, deren Ziel es war, die Wirkung individueller Beratung und Lerntagebücher auf die Wahrnehmung von DaF-Studierenden aus einer Universität in Rio de Janeiro bezüglich folgender Themen zu untersuchen: (i) autonomes Lernen und (ii) Eigenverantwortung beim DaF-Lernen. Hierbei werden zunächst die wichtigsten Konzepte aus der Theorie zur Lernautonomie und darauffolgend die ersten Ergebnisse der Datenanalyse präsentiert und diskutiert

    No âmbito da literatura infantil e juvenil em língua alemã contemporânea, destaca-se a produção de Cornelia Funke. Nascida em Dorsten em 1958, a autora - ou mais especificamente a contadora (Erzählerin), como gosta de se denominar -, acrescenta a seus textos a habilidade de ilustradora. Desde o sucesso mundial da triologia Tintenherz (Coração de tinta), Funke tornou-se uma personalidade de sucesso no universo infantil e juvenil. Em grande parte de suas obras, há a presença latente do imaginário ocidental acerca do medievo. Todavia, trata-se de uma recepção desse medievo, seja através da (re)criação de imagens ou da (re)estruturação de temáticas referentes ao universo cortês. O artigo aqui proposto analisa três obras de Funke, a saber: Die geraubten Prinzen (1994), Igraine ohne Furcht (1998) e Der geheimnisvolle Ritter Namenlos (2001), tendo como ponto de partida entrevistas da própria autora acerca do tema; ou seja, pensar-se-á a relação estabelecida entre o factual e o ficcional. Ao focar na questão da releitura do medievo, o artigo prentende compreender a ressignificação do medievo através tanto de imagens recriadas quanto da inserção de um novo tipo de herói, protagonistas femininas. In the context of children's and young adult literature in contemporary German language, Cornelia Funke's production stands out. Born in Dorsten in 1958, the author - or, more specifically, the storyteller (Erzählerin), as she likes to be called -, brings together in the texts her ability as an illustrator. Since the worldwide success of the Tintenherz (Inkheart) trilogy, Funke became a successful figure in the children’s and young adult universe. In most of her works there is the latent presence of the Western imaginary about the Middle Ages. However, that is a reception of the Middle Ages, either through the (re)creation of images or the (re)structuring of themes from the courtly universe. The article here proposed analyzes three works of Funke, namely Die geraubten Prinzen (1994), Igraine ohne Furcht (1998) and Der geheimnisvolle Ritter Namenlos (2001), taking as a starting point interviews of the author herself about this theme; in other words, it is the relationship between fact and fiction which will be considered. By focusing on the issue of the reinterpretation of the Middle Ages, this paper seeks to understand the reframing of the Middle Ages both through recreated images and the insertion of a new kind of hero, female protagonists.

    RICOEUR (1988) nos diz que a conceituação do mal é um problema que atravessa séculos, devido a sua necessidade de coerência lógica. Já se discutiu sua origem, suas causas e seus efeitos, porém nunca se chegou a um termo que eliminasse a contradição em seu cerne. Neste espaço, as obras literárias de Heinrich von Kleist (1777-1811) apresentam uma temática que abarca uma quebra de limites entre os conceitos de maldade e bondade desenvolvidos durante a Aufklärung, evidenciando essa problemática. Essa quebra nos parece estar fortemente associada à relação existente entre o "eu" e o mundo caótico em que este está inserido, implicando em uma complexidade das fontes do mal moral que diluem as barreiras entre bem e mal e nos levam à contestação destes limites estanques. Procuraremos, portanto, neste texto, demonstrar em que consiste essa quebra de limites e como a composição de uma realidade pautada no engano integra o universo literário kleistiano, principalmente na obra Michael Kohlhaas. RICOEUR (1988) tells us that the concept of evil is a problem that goes through the centuries, due to its need for logical consistency. Already discussed its origin, its causes and its effects, but never came to a term that would eliminate the contradiction at its core. In this space, the literary works of Heinrich von Kleist (1777-1811) present a theme that includes a break of boundaries between the concepts of evil and goodness developed during the Aufklärung, highlighting this problem. This break seems to be strongly associated with the relationship between the "I" and the chaotic world in which it is inserted, resulting in a complexity of the sources of moral evil that dilutes the boundaries between good and evil and lead us to challenge these tight limits. Therefore, we try to demonstrate in this paper what this boundary break is made of and how the composition of a reality guided by mistakes integrates Kleist’s literary universe, especially in the work Michael Kohlhaas.

    Edições publicadas entre 2011 e 2014 no Brasil e em Portugal dos romances Os sonâmbulos e A morte de Virgílio, de Hermann Broch, mais que indícios de um interesse crescente ou uma acolhida tardia, incentivam pensar que episódios vêm compondo a história de sua presença em língua portuguesa. O artigo apresenta um levantamento inédito da recepção lusófona das obras ficcional e teórica de Hermann Broch desde o fim da década de 1950 até o presente e fornece um quadro se não conclusivo ao menos organizador dos principais momentos - inclusões na historiografia literária, traduções, aproveitamentos teóricos e artísticos - que dão forma a essa história apenas começada. O objetivo é expandir o mapa de suas leituras e dispor referências a discussões futuras que resolvam avançar com a pesquisa do autor e sua obra. The response, in Brazil and Portugal, to recently published editions of the novels The Sleepwalkers and The Death of Vergil by Hermann Broch shows a growing interest in, or perhaps a rather late response to, the author. One might wonder what events have been shaping the history of his literary presence in the Portuguese speaking world. This paper takes an unprecedented look at how Broch's fictional and theoretical works have been received, in Portuguese, from the 1950s to the present day and provides a framework of main events - inclusions in the literary historiography, translations, theoretical and artistic utilizations. The objective is to expand the map of Broch's readings and to offer references which might promote further discussions and advance the research on the author and his work.

    O presente texto objetiva expor e divulgar ao mais amplo público leitor um panorama cronológico comentado dos estudos críticos publicados sobre a literatura produzida por imigrantes de língua alemã e seus descendentes no Brasil, mostrando que e por que se tratam de uma crítica parcial, o que evidencia a necessidade de atrair a atenção para este campo de pesquisa, partindo dos novos horizontes abertos pelos estudos culturais, pela imagologia, pelos estudos da memória, além da crítica poética. Parte-se das palavras encorajadoras de Boris Fausto em Fazer a América (1999) e de Wander de Melo Miranda em Nações literárias (2010), pois a literatura de língua alemã gerada no país pertence à cultura brasileira, é uma das nações literárias encastoadas no Brasil. This text aims to divulge a chronological and commented panorama of the critical studies published about the literature produced by German-speaking immigrants and their descendants in Brazil, arguing that this is a partial critique. This text also aims to emphasize the need to draw attention to this field of research. Nowadays, in addition to the poetic approach, other critical perspectives, such as cultural studies, imagology and memory studies, open new horizons. The encouraging words of Boris Fausto in Fazer a América (1999) must be taken into consideration as well as the support positions of Wander de Melo Miranda in Nações literárias (2010). According to Melo Miranda for example we could say that the literary production in German in Brazil belongs to the Brazilian culture and is a literary nation within this country

    Através da ideia de quimera, esse ensaio tentará compreender a constituição aberta do personagem Odradek, da narrativa curta "A preocupação do pai de família" de Franz Kafka. O interestante nessa construção literária seria o deslocamento (inclusive das possibilidades de expressão de gênero nas línguas) que Odradek impõe ao esforço constante do narrador (representante de grupos sociais específicos) em categorizá-lo e, por consequência, do leitor, que tentaria encerrá-lo num tipo fechado de interpretação. Odradek parece um tipo de ser incapturável pelas principais categorias, sejam elas literárias, biológicas ou sociais, que ajudaram a fundar a ideia de Modernidade. Through the use of the idea of chimera, this essay will attempt to understand the open constitution of the character Odradek, from the short story "The cares of a family man" by Franz Kafka. What is interesting in this short story is the displacement (which includes the possibilities of gender expression in languages) Odradek imposes on the narrator's constant effort (representing specific social groups) to categorize him/it and consequently the reader's effort to enclose him/it in a closed interpretation. Odradek seems to be impossible to apprehend using main literary, biological or social categories which helped found of the idea of Modernity
