    Considering European language policy recommendations towards a plurilingual and intercultural education that prepares citizens to respect linguistic and cultural diversity, this chapter presents and discusses some guiding principles and pedagogical proposals for the curricular development of pluringual and intercultural competences. Those principles, which act strongly on students’ representations of languages and cultures, are the following: (1) To value the world of languages/cultures and intercultural dialogue; (2) To privilege the ability to observe and question languages, their functions and statutes, and (3) To implicate different actors and institutions creating joint work dynamics for the construction and dissemination of knowledge.
