ThIS volume, which is based on the I. Student Congress of Educational Science, was developed in close cooperation with established educational scientists. neue Reihe! Wie denken Studierende über zukünftige Entwicklungen in der Erziehungswissenschaft? Der Sammelband ist Auftakt einer neuen Reihe, die sich als Organ versteht, um Studierendenperspektiven auf (Wissenschafts-)Reflexivität, Vernetzung, junge Wissenschaft, das Verhältnis von Theorie und Praxis sowie Inter- und Transdisziplinarität Gehör zu verschaffen. Der auf dem I. Studierendenkongress der Erziehungswissenschaft basierende Band stiftet Öffentlichkeit für studentische Perspektiven auf erziehungswissenschaftliche Probleme und lädt zum wechselseitigen Austausch auch mit etablierten Erziehungswissenschaftler*innen ein.

    Ginev works out a conception of the constitution of scientific objects in terms of hermeneutic phenomenology. Recently there has been a revival of interest in hermeneutic theories of scientific inquiry. The present study is furthering this interest by shifting the focus from interpretive methods and procedures to the kinds of reflexivity operating in scientific conceptualization. According to the book's central thesis, a reflexive conceptualization enables one to take into consideartion the role which the ontic-ontological difference plays in the constitution of scientific objects. The book argues for this thesis by analyzing the formation of objects of inquiry in a range of scientific domains stretching from highly formalized domains where the quest for objects' identities is carried out in terms of objects' emancipation from structures to linguistic and historiographic programs that avoid procedural objectification in their modes of conceptualization. The book sets up a new strategy for the dialogue between (the theories of) scientifc inquiry and hermeneutic phenomenology

    Cognitive studies affect all disciplines that reflect the connection between the mind-brain and human behavior. To state the obvious, Bible translation is a multidisciplinary task influenced by cognitive processes. What, then, do Bible translators need to know about the intended communication of a biblical text on one hand and a people’s context-based inferences on the other? Can these disparate, but necessarily interactive, environments blend to reflect a totality of knowledge from the content of the biblical text? Together, the coauthors explore a variety of cognitive processes that reflect on the relationship between translation and human behavior. Our objective is to show how translated biblical text interfaces with human cognition to affect behavior in specific contexts.

    This book investigates the narrative properties of the 19th-century verse novel. The genre grew out of Lord Byron’s Don Juan and established itself in various European literatures, with famous examples such as Pushkin’s Eugene Onegin. The proposed analysis is unique in the existing literature in defining the genre based on formal properties and in examining its exceptional, reflexive structure in detail. Apart from 19th-century texts, verse novels from contemporary literature are also includ-ed, and thus the connection between these two contexts is discussed for the first time extensively. ; Das Buch untersucht die narrativen Eigenschaften des Versromans des 19. Jahr-hunderts. Das Genre basiert auf Lord Byrons Don Juan und hat sich in verschiede-nen europäischen Literaturen etabliert, mit berühmten Beispielen wie Puschkins Eugen Onegin. Die vorgeschlagene Analyse ist indem sie das Genre auf einer forma-len Basis definiert und dessen außergewöhnliche, reflexive Erzählstruktur detail-liert untersucht, auf der gegenwärtigen wissenschaftlichen Basis einzigartig. Ne-ben den Texten aus dem 19. Jahrhundert werden auch Versromane aus der Gegen-wartsliteratur berücksichtigt und damit die Verbindung zwischen diesen zwei Kontexten zum ersten Mal ausführlich diskutiert.

    Ginev works out a conception of the constitution of scientific objects in terms of hermeneutic phenomenology. Recently there has been a revival of interest in hermeneutic theories of scientific inquiry. The present study is furthering this interest by shifting the focus from interpretive methods and procedures to the kinds of reflexivity operating in scientific conceptualization. According to the book's central thesis, a reflexive conceptualization enables one to take into consideartion the role which the ontic-ontological difference plays in the constitution of scientific objects. The book argues for this thesis by analyzing the formation of objects of inquiry in a range of scientific domains stretching from highly formalized domains where the quest for objects' identities is carried out in terms of objects' emancipation from structures to linguistic and historiographic programs that avoid procedural objectification in their modes of conceptualization. The book sets up a new strategy for the dialogue between (the theories of) scientifc inquiry and hermeneutic phenomenology

    One symptom of individualism in liquid modernity is the search for `identity'. Using the five theoretically discrete articles in this special issue as both a `rich' discursive resource and a point of departure, we develop a supplementary reading of the narratives which appear to inform identity research. We suggest that, while social agents in pursuit of `identity' draw on a cacophony of discursive sources, it is the varieties of `self—other' talk which emerge as the critical ingredient in processes of identity formation. The dualities that all such self—other talk articulate can be seen as discursive reflections of the more fundamental relationship between the individual and sociality. In turn, this is seen to refract one of the persistent problems of organizational analysis: the agency—structure issue. In addition, while we argue that deploying a discursive perspective to analyze identity work offers distinctive insights, such an approach carries with it an epistemological consequence. For what the articlesalso indicate is that in any attempt to delineate the `identity of identities', researchers need to be aware of not only the reflexivity displayed by social actors constructing `identity' but also of their own role in `re-authoring' such scripts. We briefly explore the implications of this for identity theory and organizational analysis more generally.

    This book investigates the narrative properties of the 19th-century verse novel. The genre grew out of Lord Byron’s Don Juan and established itself in various European literatures, with famous examples such as Pushkin’s Eugene Onegin. The proposed analysis is unique in the existing literature in defining the genre based on formal properties and in examining its exceptional, reflexive structure in detail. Apart from 19th-century texts, verse novels from contemporary literature are also includ-ed, and thus the connection between these two contexts is discussed for the first time extensively. ; This book investigates the narrative properties of the 19th-century verse novel. The genre grew out of Lord Byron’s Don Juan and established itself in various European literatures, with famous examples such as Pushkin’s Eugene Onegin. The proposed analysis is unique in the existing literature in defining the genre based on formal properties and in examining its exceptional, reflexive structure in detail. Apart from 19th-century texts, verse novels from contemporary literature are also includ-ed, and thus the connection between these two contexts is discussed for the first time extensively.

    Am Beginn des Einleitungskapitels stehen Überlegungen zu den im Buchtitel erwähnten Begriffen „Sprech- und Textformen“ sowie zur bildungssprachlichen Schwellenhypothese, die bei Erreichen eines bestimmten Sprachniveaus die vergleichsweise geringen Unterschiede in DaF-, DaZ- und DaM-Artefakten erklären hilft. Vor dem Hintergrund, dass sich zahlreiche Forschungsprogramme und Konzepte mit „Bildungssprache“ oder „sprachbildenden“ Ansätzen befassen, die aber meist den Schwerpunkt auf ausschließlich linguistisch fundierte Phänomene legen, erfolgt anschließend der Versuch einer bildungstheoretischen Rahmung. Dabei wird die mit Bildungsprozessen verbundene Rolle der Sprache im Anschluss an Theoreme der Aufklärung und Professionsdiskurse aufgezeigt und das Ausschöpfungspotential reflexiver Kompetenzdimensionen auf drei Ebenen exemplarisch erläutert. In den jeweiligen Abschnitten des Kapitels werden vielfache Bezüge zu den einzelnen Beiträgen des vorliegenden Sammelbandes hergestellt.     Drawing on the theories of cultural studies, this study investigates the “Golden Age” of comic books in context of the broader power struggles of their time. It traces the comic-book medium’s cultural roots, its rise to popularity, and its persistent struggles for meanings, cultural space, and an audience. Characters, genres, stereotypes, myths, styles, reflexive devices, and many other narrative elements are discussed as encodings of ideology within the systems of production, consumption, and textuality. ; Basierend auf den Theorien der Cultural Studies untersucht diese Studie das "goldene Zeitalter" der Comic-Hefte im Kontext der Machtkämpfe ihrer Zeit. Sie zeichnet die kulturellen Wurzeln des Mediums, seine Erfolgsgeschichte und sein andauerndes Ringen um Bedeutung, kulturellen Raum und Publikum nach.
