    Die Studie stellt den Abschlussbericht eines Projekts zur Förderung der Selbsthilfe im Sinne des § 20h SGB XI im ländlichen Raum in den Jahren 2016 bis 2019 in der Region Lausitz/Kreis Görlitz dar, finanziert von der AOK PLUS in Sachsen und Thüringen. Das Projekt wurde durchgeführt von der KISS, getragen von „Soziales Netzwerk Lausitz“ in Weißwasser. Die Evaluation bediente sich Methoden der qualitativen Sozialforschung bzw. der Ethnographie und diskutiert die Ergebnisse politisch auf der gewährleistungsstaatlichen Grundlage der Idee der Sozialraumbildung im Kontext der rechtlichen Vorgaben kommunaler Daseinsvorsorge, hier im prekärem ländlichen Raum, dabei die Kooperationsfragen mit den Aufgaben der Sozialversicherung betonend. This study contains the final evaluation of the project ‘promoting self-help activity in a rural area’, which was conducted in 2016–2019 in the region of Lausitz/public administrative region of Görlitz and was financed by AOK PLUS in Saxony and Thuringia. The regional agency promoting health-related self-help groups according to § 20h of the German Social Code, Book V is incorporated into the institution ‘Soziales Netzwerk Lausitz’ in Weißwasser. The evaluation is organised according to methods of qualitative social research and ethnography. The results of the project are discussed politically in the light of the legal framework within which municipal social services operate in German constitutional law in relation to the role of the public administration body in the region and the tasks of social services.

    The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) present a new and coherent way of thinking about diverse facets of development. Implicit in the framework of the SDGs is that the goals are interconnected and interdependent. To translate such critical ideas into reality, countries need new skills, perspectives and approaches to the implementation of policies and programmes. Capacity-building, in particular for the public sector, is therefore at the core of achieving the 2030 Agenda. Although all countries have designed their respective capacity-building strategies and undertaken various interventions for knowledge dissemination among government officials and other stakeholders on the SDGs, there are wide variations between countries regarding the progress on capacity-building initiatives. In many developing countries, the heterogeneity of the political, societal and economic structures poses one of the biggest challenges to capacity-building for the localisation of the SDGs.     Die Studie stellt den Abschlussbericht eines Projekts zur Förderung der Selbsthilfe im Sinne des § 20h SGB XI im ländlichen Raum in den Jahren 2016 bis 2019 in der Region Lausitz/Kreis Görlitz dar, finanziert von der AOK PLUS in Sachsen und Thüringen. Das Projekt wurde durchgeführt von der KISS, getragen von "Soziales Netzwerk Lausitz" in Weißwasser. Die Evaluation bediente sich Methoden der qualitativen Sozialforschung bzw. der Ethnographie und diskutiert die Ergebnisse politisch auf der gewährleistungsstaatlichen Grundlage der Idee der Sozialraumbildung im Kontext der rechtlichen Vorgaben kommunaler Daseinsvorsorge, hier im prekärem ländlichen Raum, dabei die Kooperationsfragen mit den Aufgaben der Sozialversicherung betonend. This study contains the final evaluation of the project ‘promoting self-help activity in a rural area’, which was conducted in 2016–2019 in the region of Lausitz/public administrative region of Görlitz and was financed by AOK PLUS in Saxony and Thuringia. The regional agency promoting health-related self-help groups according to § 20h of the German Social Code, Book V is incorporated into the institution ‘Soziales Netzwerk Lausitz’ in Weißwasser. The evaluation is organised according to methods of qualitative social research and ethnography. The results of the project are discussed politically in the light of the legal framework within which municipal social services operate in German constitutional law in relation to the role of the public administration body in the region and the tasks of social services.

    Effective tax systems are a critical building block for increased domestic resources in developing countries, essential for sustainable development and for promoting self-reliance, good governance, growth and stability. This report begins with an overview of the current tax capacity building landscape, highlighting key initiatives and recent developments that have emerged in response to developing country needs. It then examines how tax administrations, as well as international and regional organisations, are supporting and delivering capacity building assistance to developing countries, and it offers guidance both in relation to G20 priorities and more generally. The report is based on a mapping exercise and a survey of members of the OECD's Forum on Tax Administration (FTA), drawing on the insights and expertise of a nine-country task team led by the FTA commissioners of Canada and China and supported by the FTA Secretariat
