    Porträt des Bremer Rechtsanwalts und Notars Hermann Eggers (1867-1947), der 1897 kurzzeitig mit der Braunschweiger Schriftstellerin und Historikerin Ricarda Huch (1864-1947) verlobt war. Eggers unterstütze den Finteler Schriftsteller Friedrich Freudenthal (1849-1929) bei dessen Entziehungskur in der Trinkerheilstätte Stift Isenwald bei Gifhorn 1907. Eggers trat im und nach dem Ersten Weltkrieg durch nationalkonservative und antisemitische Progaganda in Bremen in Erscheinung.
