    Der Begriff 'historisches Präsens' ist zu einem wenig differenzierten Sammelbegriff geworden, der syntaktisch und pragmatisch sehr unterschiedliche Präsenstypen umfasst. Die vorliegende Monographie Werk arbeitet die Unterscheidungen des historischen Präsens heraus: das aspektuelle, aoristische Präsens (oft 'episches Präsens') von der Antike bis ins Mittelalter, das perspektivische, vergangenheitsaktualisierende Präsens (das eigentliche 'historische Präsens'), das sich vor allem ab dem 16. Jahrhundert etabliert, und schließlich das narrative Präsens als durchgängiges Erzähltempus in Romanen des 20. und 21. Jahrhunderts. Die intermedialen Einflüsse durch den Film begünstigen die Verbreitung und Etablierung des Präsens als neues, alternatives Erzähltempus im Roman. Anders als häufig angenommen, bewahrt es dabei durchaus seine Grundsemantik. Die Präsensverwendung in narrativen Texten wird am Beispiel des Portugiesischen, Spanischen, Französischen, Deutschen und Englischen besprochen mit einem Ausblick auf das Russische.

    Viele mehrsprachige Kinder erwerben das Deutsche zeitversetzt zu ihrer Erstsprache beispielsweise mit Eintritt in die Kindertagesstätte oder Schule. Diese Gruppe – die sogenannten Kinder mit Deutsch als Zweitsprache (DaZ) – stand in den letzten Jahren verstärkt im Fokus der Spracherwerbsforschung. Eine zentrale Erkenntnis der Forschung ist, dass die Mehrsprachigkeit bei Kindern mit DaZ kognitive und sprachliche Vorteile bringt, wenn die Zweitsprache unter geeigneten Inputbedingungen erworben und die Mehrsprachigkeit als Ressource geschätzt wird. Das Buch fasst aktuelle Erkenntnisse über die Sprachentwicklung bei Kindern mit DaZ auf den Ebenen Phonologie, Morphosyntax und Semantik zusammen. Darüber hinaus schlägt es eine Brücke zu benachbarten Themen wie dem Zusammenhang zwischen Mehrsprachigkeit und Schulerfolg und zu Phänomenen des bilingualen Sprachgebrauchs. Ein besonderer Fokus liegt auf den Themen Sprachstandsdiagnostik und Sprachförderung sowie der Abgrenzung zu Sprachstörungen im DaZ-Erwerb.

    This volume is the first to attempt a comprehensive and cross-disciplinary analysis of the manuscript cultures implementing the pothi manuscript form (a loosely bound stack of oblong folios). It is the indigenous form by which manuscripts have been crafted in South Asia and the cultural areas most influenced by it, that is to say Central and South East Asia. The volume focuses particularly on the colophons featured in such manuscripts presenting a series of essays enabling the reader to engage in a historical and comparative investigation of the links connecting the several manuscript cultures examined here. Colophons as paratexts are situated at the intersection between texts and the artefacts that contain them and offer a unique vantage point to attain global appreciation of their manuscript cultures and literary traditions. Colophons are also the product of scribal activities that have moved across regions and epochs alongside the pothi form, providing a common thread binding together the many millions of pothis still today found in libraries in Asia and the world over. These contributions provide a systematic approach to the internal structure of colophons, i.e. their ‘syntax’, and facilitate a vital, comparative approach

Dabei ist die Bandbreite groß; sie reicht von Bodo Kirchhoffs Roman ‚Dämmer und Aufruhr‘ über die Kurzgeschichte ‚Das Brot‘ von Wolfgang Borchert bis hin zu Marion Poschmanns Gedichtzyklus ‚Kindergarten Lichtenberg‘ und deckt unterschiedlichste sprachliche Bereiche wie Tempus, semantische Rollen, Interpunktionszeichen oder Metaphern ab. Ist es in der Schule geradezu erwünscht, Grammatik und Literatur integrativ zu unterrichten, verfolgen sie als universitäre Disziplinen oft ganz unterschiedliche Fragestellungen an verschiedenen Sprachwerken.
