    Plus modeste au regard des compositions poétiques, la production littéraire en prose de Guido Gozzano est toujours restée dans l'ombre des vers du poète turinois. L'étude du corpus de ses nouvelles est toutefois riche d'enseignements. Elle permet d'apporter un éclairage différent sur la thématique et la poétique de l'auteur et met également en évidence la volonté du nouvelliste d'ouvrir une voie nouvelle vers d'autres genres littéraires plus complexes, puisque une grande partie de sa production narrative relève de la littérature fantastique. Cependant, c'est lorsque la thématique de ses proses récupère son univers poétique encore très proche, que Guido Gozzano réussit à acquérir, en tant que nouvelliste, ses lettres de noblesse. En effet, en tournant à nouveau son regard vers le passé et vers l'enfance, l'auteur fait preuve d'une sensibilité qui ne peut que toucher le lecteur moderne With regard to Guido Gozzano's poetic compositions, his literary production in prose is certainly more modest and has always stayed in the shade of the verses of the turinese poet. Studying the corpus of his short stories is, however, highly instructive and it gives a quite different perspective on the theme and the poetics of the author. This study also highlights the will of the short story writer to open a new way towards other more complex literary genres since most of his narrative production concerns the fantastic literature. However, it's mainly when the theme of his prose is close to his poetic universe, that Gozzano, as short story writer, succeeds in acquiring his reputation. Indeed, by looking back towards the past and childhood, the author shows a sensibility which can only affect the modern reader

    Plus modeste au regard des compositions poétiques, la production littéraire en prose de Guido Gozzano est toujours restée dans l'ombre des vers du poète turinois. L'étude du corpus de ses nouvelles est toutefois riche d'enseignements. Elle permet d'apporter un éclairage différent sur la thématique et la poétique de l'auteur et met également en évidence la volonté du nouvelliste d'ouvrir une voie nouvelle vers d'autres genres littéraires plus complexes, puisque une grande partie de sa production narrative relève de la littérature fantastique. Cependant, c'est lorsque la thématique de ses proses récupère son univers poétique encore très proche, que Guido Gozzano réussit à acquérir, en tant que nouvelliste, ses lettres de noblesse. En effet, en tournant à nouveau son regard vers le passé et vers l'enfance, l'auteur fait preuve d'une sensibilité qui ne peut que toucher le lecteur moderne With regard to Guido Gozzano's poetic compositions, his literary production in prose is certainly more modest and has always stayed in the shade of the verses of the turinese poet. Studying the corpus of his short stories is, however, highly instructive and it gives a quite different perspective on the theme and the poetics of the author. This study also highlights the will of the short story writer to open a new way towards other more complex literary genres since most of his narrative production concerns the fantastic literature. However, it's mainly when the theme of his prose is close to his poetic universe, that Gozzano, as short story writer, succeeds in acquiring his reputation. Indeed, by looking back towards the past and childhood, the author shows a sensibility which can only affect the modern reader
