    Herfried Münkler unterscheidet in seiner kurzen Geschichte des Kunstraubs (oder »Kulturgütertransfers«), mit der das März-Heft (Nr. 802) aufmacht, zwischen Aneignungen mit translatio-imperii-Anspruch und solchen, die eher zur Demonstration von Weltgeltung durch Ausstellung bedeutender Werke dienten. Angesichts der Zerstörungen (nicht nur) durch den IS erkennt er in der illegalen Verbringung der Kunst in die Hauptstädte des Westens eine gewisse Legitimität. Patrick Bahners stellt sehr ernsthaft und vor dem Hintergrund einschlägiger Debatten in der Historiografie die Frage, ob die wissenschaftliche Edition von »Mein Kampf« so notwendig ist, wie ihre Herausgeber behaupten. Ulf Erdmann Ziegler wirft einen kritischen Blick auf jüngere Diskussionen zum Thema Pädophilie. Christian Demand untersucht in seiner Designkolumne das Syndrom des unreflektierten Schlusses von (Wohn-)Ästhetik auf Ethik. In seiner Wirtschaftskolumne schreibt Roman Köster über die engen Grenzen des Sinns ökonomischer Prognosen. Jonathan Beckman erzählt in einem Rezensionsessay, wie im Frankreich des 18. Jahrhunderts die Kunst des Lächelns entstand. In den Marginalien gibt es einen kleinen Schwerpunkt zur Flüchtlingsdebatte. Der Jurist Daniel Thym weist auf die nach Lage der Dinge nicht einfach aufhebbaren Grenzen des Universalismus hin. Bei Martin Burckhardt geht es ganz im Gegenteil darum, dass die Logik der »geschlossenen Gesellschaft« sich spätestens an der Frage der Flüchtlinge als unzureichend erweist. Die Althistorikerin Susanna Elm wirft einen vergleichenden Blick auf die Bürgerrechte (und ihren Wandel) im Alten Rom. Und nur scheinbar haben Jens Soentgens Überlegungen zur Gastfreundschaft gegenüber Tieren mit dem Schwerpunkt wenig zu tun. Remigius Bunia schreibt in der dritten Folge seiner Brüssel-Reportagen über die inneren Spannungen zwischen Legislative und Exekutive. In Harry Walters drittem Text zu einem gefundenen Foto geht es um Soldaten und Modellbauschiffe.
