    Abstract: Die Arbeit versucht die soziale Kategorie "Frau", ihre Funktionsweise in sozialen Situationen und ihre Konstitution sowohl auf symbolischer als auch soziostruktureller Ebene innerhalb der mexikanischen Kultur und Gesellschaft zu klären. Die Konstruktion von Weiblichkeit in Mexiko erfolgt im wesentlichen entlang der bedeutungsstiftenden Strukturen einer Vielzahl von Kulturen (zumindest: die indigen/traditionelle, die hispanisch-europäische und die mestizisch/mexikanische), gesellschaftlicher und politischer Institutionen (wie das staatliche Entwicklungsprojekt, Bildungsinitiativen, Kirchen und Religion) und weiterer, diffuser Einflüsse (etwa die Massenmedien in ihren populären Formen). Der Autor versucht diese als objektiv gedachten Strukturen - seien sie symbolisch oder Institutionen - ihrem jeweils subjektiv gemeinten Sinn nach deutend zu verstehen.     Abstract: "This study offers a basis for understanding China's performance from a Latin American perspective, and stressing the massive economic opportunities and challenges, and particularly for Central America and Mexico. Moreover, the document assesses in detail the macroeconomic, trade and employment policy and institutional changes in China and its potential effects in Central America and Mexico. These effects are analyzed in the Chinese, Central American, Mexican and US market in general, but also for the value-added chains of electronics and yarn-textile-garment. The findings presented will be of value to all of those who are trying to understand and learn from the extraordinary experience of China over the last decades. Bibliographical references and statistical information allows for subsequent detailed analysis and specific forms of cooperation and preparation between the considered countries.     Abstract: Die vorliegende Studie erörtert die Möglichkeiten und Grenzen entwicklungspolitischer Dreieckskooperationen mit Ankerländern. Ankerländer sind aufstrebende wirtschaftliche und politische Mächte, ohne deren Engagement die Lösung aktueller und zukünftiger Weltprobleme kaum möglich scheint. Kapitel zwei diskutiert zunächst die Ziele der an Dreieckskooperationen beteiligten Ländergruppen. Hier wird deutlich, dass jede der drei Gruppen komplexe, teilweise widerstreitende Zielsetzungen verfolgt, so dass es wichtig ist, gleichgerichtete und konfligierende Interessen zu identifizieren. Projektbezogene Kooperation ist nur sinnvoll, wenn Interessenlagen weitgehend gleichgerichtet sind. Bei deutlich abweichenden Positionen der Neuen Geber kommen gemeinschaftliche Projekte in Drittländern zwar nicht in Betracht, aber es ist gerade dann wichtig, im Dialog zu bleiben und sich um eine Harmonisierung der Interessen zu bemühen.     Abstract: Die anwendungsorientierte Erforschung von Möglichkeiten der Regionalentwicklung wird diskutiert. Am Beispiel des Instituts für Regionalentwicklung und Strukturplanung (IRS) wird gezeigt, wie Soziologinnen und Soziologen in entsprechende interdisziplinäre und internationale Vorhaben eingebunden sind. Beiträge zur regionalen Entwicklung in Mexiko und in Berlin-Brandenburg werden miteinander verglichen. Das Forschungsfeld um Regionalkultur, Milieuansätze und Lernende Regionen wird beschrieben. Mit der Kategorie des 'heuristischen Milieubegriffs' wird eine Möglichkeit aufgezeigt, soziologisches Wissen bei Fragen der Regionalförderung einzubringen. Insgesamt wird eine Öffnung der Soziologie für disziplinübergreifende Forschungsstragegien gefordert. (prf)
