Ola Sigurdson's 'Atmosfärer. En introduktion' is the first major introduction of the philosophical concept of 'atmosphere' in Swedish. Based on the writings of Hermann Schmitz, Gernot Böhme and Tonino Griffero, the meaning of atmosphere(s) is discussed both in a theoretical context and in relation to urban, architectonic, interior, and digital spaces. The text is accompanied by a series of photographs by the Swedish photographer Sune Sundahl (1921-2007). Ola Sigurdson is a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Letters and a professor at Göteborgs Universitet.
