    Artist and noted muralist Diego Rivera (Mexico 1886-1957) became a Founding Member of El Colegio Nacional on May 15, 1943. The book includes a link to eight of the lectures he gave free of charge there in 1955. They "confirm the muralist's love for the avant-garde, because in his disquisitions to tie the battle against formalism (sent from Moscow), Rivera manages to make some formidable juggling."
