This is the first modern edition and an essential tool for scholars of all aspects of the subject. This edition of the lexicon of the ancient Greek scholar Hesychius was begun by K. Latte and revised and completed by P. A. Hansen and I. C. Cunningham. The text with apparatus was published in four volumes between 1953 and 2020. This final volume contains additions and corrections to the eararlier four and three indexes (of authors cited, authors of related texts, and subjects). The lexicon is an important source for ancient Greek vocabulary, grammar, history and literature

In this series, Eric Cullhed (University of Uppsala) and S. Douglas Olson (University of Minnesota) combine to provide the reader with a new critical edition of the Greek text of Byzantine scholar and rhetorician Eustathius of Thessalonica?s 'Commentary on the Odyssey', composed during the latter half of the twelfth century CE. 0A much desired facing English translation of the commentary is included as well. 00Eustathius? commentary collects material from a wide range of sources which explain or expand on words, phrases and ideas in the Homeric epic. His original comments are blended with extracts from earlier commentators, especially the Homeric scholia. The text is also an important source for fragments of lost works of ancient literature, for the history of exegesis and lexicography, and for Byzantine cultural history. Full critical, citation and source apparatuses are included

Thousands of Greek verse epitaphs, covering a millennium of history, survive inscribed or painted on stone. These largely anonymous poems shed rich light on areas such as ancient moral values, religious ideas, gender relations and attitudes, as well as on the transmission and reception of 'canonical' poetry; many of these poems are of very high literary quality. This is the first modern commentary on a selection of these poems. Problems of syntax, metre and language are fully explained, accompanied by sophisticated literary discussion of the poems. There is a full introduction to the nature of these poems and to their context within Greek ideas of death and the afterlife. This comprehensive edition will be of interest to advanced undergraduates and graduate students studying Greek literature, as well as to scholars
