    Abstract: Im vorliegenden Arbeitspapier zur Ehe-Intervallstudie wird darüber Auskunft erteilt, "in welchem Umfang und mit wie großer Unterstützung durch Ehepartner und Betrieb während der ersten vier Ehejahre eine Weiterqualifizierung erfolgt. Die meisten jungen Eheleute sind dann erst seit kurzem als Facharbeiter oder in einer Leitungsfunktion tätig. Erster Schritt ist eine Befragung von Eheleuten im 1., 2. und 4. Ehejahr nach Qualifizierungshäufigkeiten. Es folgt eine Darstellung, wie der Ehepartner zur Qualifikation des jeweils anderen eingestellt ist (und zwar auch unter dem Gesichtspunkt der Harmonie in der Ehe); drittens wird ein vermutetes Einverständnis des Ehepartners bei dem (fiktiven) Entschluß zur Weiterqualifizierung untersucht. Unter ähnlichen Gesichtspunkten wird nach der Unterstützung durch den Betrieb gefragt. Fazit: Ein gründlich durchdachtes Werbe- und Studiensystem, das neben dem Anreiz zu studieren auch die personelle Unterstützung genau festlegt, die konkrete Situation

This book contains an introduction to the text of and a commentary on the fragments of two plays by Euripides, the Kresphontes (ca. 424 B.C.) and the Archelaos (ca. 408/7 B.C.) Fragments of both plays are preserved in quotations by other writers and in recently published papyri. The introduction discusses aspects of the background and of the contents of the plays, such as, for example, their first performances, the relation of the Kresphontes with the plays about Orestes, and Euripides' motives in writing the Archelaos (politics or flattery?). The commentary to each play deals with the interpretation of the fragments and testimonia , with textual problems and with typical elements of Euripides' style. This is the first full-scale treatment of both plays and offers, thanks to modern papyrus finds, some new evidence on their composition and context. The text of the papyrus fragments is based on personal inspection of the papyri concerned, which has resulted in a number of new readings

This is a word-for-word commentary on the first part (vv. 1-382) of Hesiod's Works and Days . Special attention has been paid to peculiarities of grammar and idiom, but also to figures of style and the poet's train of thought. All interpretations - many of them which are new - are documented as fully, but at the same time as concisely, as possible. This documentation, which will prove useful for the interpretation of many other texts, has been made more easily accesible by detailed indexes. Discussion of other views plays a considerable part in the commentary and will help the reader avoid a great number of minor and major misunderstandings. The commentary has been confined to the first part of the poem because this seemed to be more in need of a thorough explanation than the rest. It is also the most interesting part in so far as it forms a kind of manual of social morality. The basis concepts of this doctrine are carefully defined in the commentary, and their historical implications are briefly indicated

    Neben der Zeitschrift Wiener Slawistischer Almanach erscheinen seit 1980 auch 2-3 Mal jährlich Sonderbände (seither 94 Ausgaben) mit literaturwissenschaftlichem oder linguistischem Schwerpunkt. Die literarische Reihe umfasst Monographien oder Tagungsbeiträge aus allen Bereichen der aktuellen slavischen Literaturwissenschaft und weit darüber hinaus (Medientheorie, Kulturwissenschaft, Literaturkritik).

    Die Beiträge oder Monographien erscheinen in der Regel in deutscher, russischer oder endlischer Sprache. Publikationsvorschläge an aage.hansen-loeve@lrz.uni.-muenchen.de

    The medieval poem Cursor Mundi is a biblical verse account of the history of the world, offering a chronological overview of salvation history from Creation to Doomsday. Originating in northern England around the year 1300, the poem was frequently copied in the north before appearing in a southern version in substantially altered form. Although it is a storehouse of popular medieval biblical lore and a fascinating study in the eclectic use of more than a dozen sources, the poem has until now attracted little scholarly attention. This five-part collaborative edition presents the Arundel version of the poem with variants from three others. In addition it provides a discussion of sources and analogues, detailed explanatory notes, and a bibliography.
