    Abstract ; The article investigates the transcultural exchanges and the traces of a creole consciousness in the loa of the auto sacramental El Divino Narciso by Juana Inés de la Cruz. Our reading of this allegorical play takes the concept of belonging as a tool for the analysis of the multifaceted dynamics of cultural identification and differentiation that are deployed in this literary text from the Mexican colonial baroque of the 17th century. We will focus on three dimensions on which the author introduces differentiations that structure the topic and the action of the play: the geocultural dimension, the ethic dimension and the geopolitical dimension. In doing so, we propose to consider Juana’s creole consciousness not so much as an identity that she possesses but rather as the totality of the complex and sometimes contradictory practices of belonging that are expressed in her texts.

    Im Verlauf der 1990er Jahre ist der Spanische Bürgerkrieg zum zentralen Bezugspunkt der spanischen Erinnerungskultur avanciert. Der vorliegende Band untersucht ausgewählte zeitgenössische Romane und Spielfilme hinsichtlich der fiktionalen Verarbeitung des Spanischen Bürgerkriegs und der kulturellen Funktionen, die den literarischen und filmischen Vergangenheitsentwürfen zukommen. Die Mythisierung des geschichtlichen Ereigniskomplexes, die in vielen Fiktionen zu beobachten ist, wirft eine Reihe von Fragen auf: Ermöglicht eine mythisierende Darstellung von Geschichte überhaupt erst das Erinnern oder befördert sie vielmehr das Vergessen? Sagen die Bürgerkriegsentwürfe mehr über die präsentierte Vergangenheit aus oder über die Zeit, in der sie entstanden sind? Und schließlich: Ist das aktuelle Interesse für den Spanischen Bürgerkrieg in erster Linie als ein spanienspezifisches Phänomen aufzufassen oder vorrangig als Reflex jenes transkulturellen und transnationalen 'Gedächtnisbooms', der in den westlichen Kulturen seit dem letzten Drittel des 20. Jahrhunderts insgesamt auszumachen ist? Diese und weitere Fragen werden in den jeweiligen Text- und Filmanalysen diskutiert.
