    Das spanische Fronleichnamsspiel ist in Europa einzigartig. Wie kaum eine andere literarische Gattung ist das «auto sacramental» eng mit der spanischen Kultur verbunden. Dennoch wird das eucharistische Allegorienspiel von der Forschung vernachlässigt. Die vorliegende Untersuchung liefert erstmals eine umfassende Gattungsgeschichte von den Anfängen bis in die Gegenwart. Besondere Beachtung findet dabei die Analyse unterschiedlicher Dimensionen, Funktionen und Wirkungen der Kategorie Raum in dramatischer Konzeption und theatraler Aufführung. In all seinen religiösen wie säkularen Ausprägungsformen spannt das «auto sacramental» als komplexe und mehrdimensionale Raumkunst in dramatischer wie theatraler Hinsicht einen bald heiligen, bald unheiligen Theater-, Bedeutungs- und Erlebnisraumraum auf.

    A critical examination of the cultural network of migration and its medial negotiation - using examples from literature, film and action art, among others. Migration ist eine der zentralen Herausforderungen unserer Zeit. Sie ist allgegenwärtig in medialen Repräsentationen, mithilfe derer gesellschaftliche Diskussion emotionalisiert, plausibilisiert oder moderiert wird - sei es in Kinofilmen, Romanen, Talkshows, Kunstaktionen oder Tageszeitungen. Der Band stellt mediale Potenziale auf den Prüfstand: Welche Deutungsangebote werden lanciert, welche Narrationen, politischen Maßnahmen und Emotionspolitiken werden hergestellt, unterstützt oder entkräftet? Über die Analyse der Rückkopplungen zwischen realen Problemlagen und medialen Deutungen helfen die Beiträge, aktuelle kulturelle Aushandlungsprozesse besser zu verstehen.

    The history of written Romani literature is only about 100 years old, and thus Romani literatures are still being defined and consolidated. At least two special features characterize this young literature: on the one hand, it is a multilingual diasporic world literature that often can be characterized as engaged literature and tries to deconstruct various age-old stereotypes of the minority. On the other hand, female authors play a strikingly prominent role. Female authors frequently achieve visibility with their texts on the national book markets. Some authors appear in their own texts as committed feminists and/or human rights activists. For other authors, sexuality and gender play a less prominent role in their works. Additionally, women often also play very central roles in texts by male authors. Therefore, this volume aims to explore the different facets of Romani literatures on two interrelated axes. First, the essays explore the status of several diverse works as transnational world literature. Second, the contributions examine the significance of writing as a form of social engagement and self-empowerment. What emerges is the observation that mainly women authors have been speaking out and standing up for their rights as women and Romnya.

    La crise et la disparition du monde paysan traditionnel sont traitées de diverses manières dans la littérature française contemporaine. Contrairement aux œuvres du nouveau roman régional, les œuvres régionalistes écrites du point de vue des paysans, eux-mêmes touchés par les changements structurels sont peu connues, voire inconnues. Avec Joël Robin, l’article présente un paysan écrivain de l’Ouest qui met en relation le déclin de la culture paysanne avec la sécularisation croissante. Considérant son écriture comme un « testament paysan » documenté sur les vertus paysannes pour les citadins et les générations suivantes, ses textes ancrés dans le régionalisme sont à la fois une célébration des petits paysans français, une transfiguration nostalgique du « bon vieux temps » et une analyse culturelle pessimiste de la société, et aboutissent finalement à un plaidoyer pour une durabilité et une écologie motivées par le christianisme. ; The crisis and the disappearance of the traditional peasant world are dealt with in many ways in contemporary French literature. In contrast to the works of the new regional novel, the regionalist works from the perspective of the writing peasants themselves affected by structural change are hardly known, if at all. With Joël Robin, the article presents a writing peasant from the French West who relates the decline of peasant culture to increasing secularisation. Understanding his writing as a “peasant testament” and documentation of peasant virtues for city dwellers and subsequent generations, his regionalist texts are both a praise of creation and the merits of French small farmers as well as a nostalgic transfiguration of the good old days and a culturally pessimistic social analysis, and finally culminate in a plea for Christian-motivated sustainability and ecology. ; La crise et la disparition du monde paysan traditionnel sont traitées de diverses manières dans la littérature française contemporaine.
