    L’objectif de ce recueil est d’étudier la vision formée au cours des génocides et des guerres par les enfants et les adolescents ainsi que la symbolisation de l’enfance et de la jeunesse. Les contributions tentent de comprendre l’expression des expériences sur la base de récits, de poésies, de dessins et de témoignages. Centré sur la Shoah en Europe et le génocide des Tutsi au Rwanda, sans pour autant oublier les persécutions national-socialistes des résistants politiques et des Roms, ce volume interdisciplinaire rassemble des articles de base sur la transmission du vécu et sur la réception de l’expérience, du plus jeune âge jusqu’à l’adolescence, de l’emblématique au référentiel, se vouant ainsi à un champ de recherche dont le potentiel n’est pas encore assez exploité.

    In the 20th century and beyond, world wars, independence and decolonization conflicts, the Holocaust, exile, migration, terrorism and other forms of collective violence trigger traumas that are mediated by text and image, commemorative rites, music, the press, museums. The notion of trauma itseld evolves with these events. The analysis of these processes and their mediatization is preceded by an introduction that sets out the conceptual framework of the volume. The chapters present the current state of research and offer original perspectives on the relationship between trauma and cultural memory. Les guerres (mondiales, d'indépendances et de décolonisation), la Shoah, l'exil, la migration, le terrorisme et d'autres formes de violences collectives déclenchent au XXe siècle et au-delà des traumatismes qui sont médiatisés par le texte et l'image, les rites commémoratifs, la musique, la presse, les musées. La notion de traumatisme évolue en rapport avec ces événements. L'analyse de ces processus et de leur médiatisation est précédée d'une introduction qui dresse le cadre conceptuel de la réflexion. Les différents chapitres font le point sur l'état de la recherche et offrent des perspectives originales sur l'articulation entre traumatisme et mémoire culturelle. Die Auseinandersetzung mit den Folgen der Zerstoerung menschlicher Gemeinschaft durch politisch und ethnisch motivierte Gewalt basiert dabei auf zwei Praemissen: Zum einen lassen sich in den unterschiedlichen Medien wiederkehrende Formen der Verletzung des Anderen und Darstellungsmuster erkennen, zum anderen befinden sich die medialen Inszenierungen des Taeter-Opfer-Verhaeltnisses in einem Wechselverhaeltnis zu den nationalen und internationalen Reaktionen auf die evozierten Ereignisse. Auf innovative Weise greifen die Beitraege Impulse aus dem Bereich historischer Taeterforschung in einer literatur- und medienwissenschaftlichen Betrachtungsweise auf. Die romanischen Kulturen bilden hier einen Schwerpunkt der Analysen.
