    The theme of this book is the multilingual classroom and the interrelationships, interactions and ideologies that apply in such classrooms. Drawing on studies from different multilingual communities in different parts of the world, the volume demonstrates the complex nature of the multilingual classroom, and in so doing provides a number of interdisciplinary perspectives for an international audience. The contributions to the volume are located within an ecological framework, one that emphasises the inter-relationships between languages and their speakers in multilingual and multi-cultural classrooms, the dynamics of multilingual classroom interaction, and the positionings of classroom languages and their speakers in dominant educational discourses. There are three main themes interweaved throughout the book: Inter-relationships • Relationships between languages and their speakers in multilingual/multicultural classrooms. • The impact of educationally dominant languages on the ecologies of other languages. Interactions • The dynamics of multilingual classroom interaction for learning and teaching bilingually. • The discursive meetings and mergings of socially situated participants within multilingual classrooms. Ideology • The positionings of classroom languages and their speakers in dominant educational discourses/conversations. • The positionings of pedagogies, knowledge and participants in multilingual classrooms

    Entwicklungsstörungen zeigen sich in der Regel früh in der Entwicklung eines Menschen und sind lebenslang im Sinne persönlichkeitsstruktureller Merkmale vorhanden, die von leichter Beeinträchtigung bis zu schwerer Behinderung reichen können. Sie liegen allen weiteren biografischen, psychodynamischen und psychobiologischen Prozessen zugrunde. Autismus, ADHS, Tic-Störungen und Intelligenzminderungen sind dabei oft mit einem spezifischen Stärken- und Schwächenprofil verbunden und gehen mit typischen psychosozialen und sozialkommunikativen Problem- und Konfliktkonstellationen einher. Diese wiederum können sekundär zu psychischen Belastungen und Störungen wie Depressionen, Ängsten oder einem mangelnden Selbstwertgefühl führen. In den Diagnosesystemen DSM-5 und ICD-11 wird diesem Faktum erstmalig Rechnung getragen, indem die Entwicklungsstörungen allen anderen psychischen Störungen vorangestellt wurden. Dieses interdisziplinäre Herausgeberwerk schließt eine Lücke, indem es die Thematik erstmals aus der Perspektive der Kinder-, Jugend- und Erwachsenenpsychiatrie, -psychotherapie und -psychosomatik beleuchtet. Das umfassende Werk stellt die verschiedenen Formen in ihrer Entwicklungsgeschichte vor und gibt einen Überblick über wirksame psychotherapeutische, pharmakologische und sozialpsychiatrische Interventionsmöglichkeiten.

    Edmond Malone (1741-1812) was the greatest early editor of Shakespeare's works, the first historian of early English drama, the biographer of Shakespeare, Dryden and Reynolds, and a relentless exposer of literary fraud and forgery. His dedication to discovering the facts of literary history through manuscripts and early editions laid the foundations for the scholar's code and the modern study of literature. Yet he was also a gregarious man, attracting many friends - and enemies - among his contemporaries. This first modern full-length biography of Edmond Malone illuminates in a unique way both the intensely private world of the scholar and the highly public world of the late eighteenth-century artistic, intellectual and political elite, including Samuel Johnson, Edmund Burke, Sir Joshua Reynolds, Sarah Siddons and James Boswell.

    Edmond Malone (1741-1812) was the greatest early editor of Shakespeare's works, the first historian of early English drama, the biographer of Shakespeare, Dryden and Reynolds, and a relentless exposer of literary fraud and forgery. His dedication to discovering the facts of literary history through manuscripts and early editions laid the foundations for the scholar's code and the modern study of literature. Yet he was also a gregarious man, attracting many friends - and enemies - among his contemporaries. This first modern full-length biography of Edmond Malone illuminates in a unique way both the intensely private world of the scholar and the highly public world of the late eighteenth-century artistic, intellectual and political elite, including Samuel Johnson, Edmund Burke, Sir Joshua Reynolds, Sarah Siddons and James Boswell.

    The theme of this book is the multilingual classroom and the interrelationships, interactions and ideologies that apply in such classrooms. Drawing on studies from different multilingual communities in different parts of the world, the volume demonstrates the complex nature of the multilingual classroom, and in so doing provides a number of interdisciplinary perspectives for an international audience. The contributions to the volume are located within an ecological framework, one that emphasises the inter-relationships between languages and their speakers in multilingual and multi-cultural classrooms, the dynamics of multilingual classroom interaction, and the positionings of classroom languages and their speakers in dominant educational discourses. There are three main themes interweaved throughout the book: Inter-relationships • Relationships between languages and their speakers in multilingual/multicultural classrooms. • The impact of educationally dominant languages on the ecologies of other languages. Interactions • The dynamics of multilingual classroom interaction for learning and teaching bilingually. • The discursive meetings and mergings of socially situated participants within multilingual classrooms. Ideology • The positionings of classroom languages and their speakers in dominant educational discourses/conversations. • The positionings of pedagogies, knowledge and participants in multilingual classrooms
