    Der Band versteht sich als Weiterführung des kritisch-konstruktiven Dialogs zwischen den verschiedenen Fachdidaktiken, der Bildungswissenschaft und der Sonderpädagogik im Rahmen der LehrerInnenbildung. Während der Vorgängerband sich stärker mit terminologischen, exemplarischen und strukturellen Fragestellungen in der LehrerInnenbildung aus der Sicht der verschiedenen Disziplinen in fachaffinen Clustern gewidmet hat, beschäftigt sich nunmehr dieser Band mit zentralen weiterführenden Aspekten aktueller und zukünftiger Schwerpunkte im Rahmen der Kompetenzdebatte in der LehrerInnenbildung. Ziel ist es zudem, die inhaltlichen Beiträge, wesentliche Arbeitsergebnisse sowie Diskussionsimpulse der im Frühjahr 2014 gemeinsam ausgerichteten Fachtagung - im Sinne eines weiteren Meilensteines fachlichen interdisziplinären Austausches - darzustellen und kritisch zu reflektieren.

    Die Analyse von Unterrichtsvideos ist zu einer erfolgreich und vielfältig genutzten Methode in der Lehrkräftebildung geworden. Sie vermag wie keine andere Methode die Unterrichtspraxis in ihrer Authentizität zu veranschaulichen und zugleich in ihrer Komplexität zu untersuchen. Dazu sind in den letzten Jahren innovative Videoportale mit Lehrkonzepten und über 1800 aussagekräftigen Unterrichtsvideos entstanden, die das Spektrum an Schulformen, Fächern und Unterrichts(qualitäts)dimensionen abdecken. Deren Nutzung, Evaluation und Einsatz in Lehrveranstaltungen werden im vorliegenden Sammelband vorgestellt, ebenso das Meta-Videoportal, über das die Unterrichtsvideos und Begleitmaterialien für alle Akteurinnen und Akteure der Lehrkräftebildung gesucht und genutzt werden können. Ein konzeptueller state-of-the-art Überblick und ein Review aktueller videobasierter Projekte zum Lehren und Forschen mit Videos in der Lehrkräftebildung vervollständigen den Sammelband.

    We decompose permanent earnings risk into contributions from hours and wage shocks. In order to distinguish between hours shocks and labor supply reactions to wage shocks we use a life-cycle model of consumption and labor supply. Estimating our model with the Panel Study of Income Dynamics (PSID) shows that both permanent wage and hours shocks play an important role in explaining the cross-sectional variance in earnings growth, but wage risk has greater relevance. Allowing for hours shocks improves the model fit considerably. The empirical strategy allows for the estimation of the Marshallian labor supply elasticity without the use of consumption or asset data. We find this elasticity on average to be negative, but small. The degree of consumption insurance implied by our results is in line with recent estimates in the literature. Die empirische Vorgehensweise ermöglicht zudem, die Marshall-Arbeitsangebotselastizität ohne die Verwendung von Konsumdaten zu schätzen. Die geschätzte Elastizität ist negativ, aber klein. Der Grad an Konsumversicherung, der durch die Ergebnisse impliziert ist, entspricht vorherigen Ergebnissen in der Literatur.

    Die Analyse von Unterrichtsvideos ist zu einer erfolgreich und vielfältig genutzten Methode in der Lehrkräftebildung geworden. Sie vermag wie keine andere Methode die Unterrichtspraxis in ihrer Authentizität zu veranschaulichen und zugleich in ihrer Komplexität zu untersuchen. Dazu sind in den letzten Jahren innovative Videoportale mit Lehrkonzepten und über 1800 aussagekräftigen Unterrichtsvideos entstanden, die das Spektrum an Schulformen, Fächern und Unterrichts(qualitäts)dimensionen abdecken. Deren Nutzung, Evaluation und Einsatz in Lehrveranstaltungen werden im vorliegenden Sammelband vorgestellt, ebenso das Meta-Videoportal, über das die Unterrichtsvideos und Begleitmaterialien für alle Akteurinnen und Akteure der Lehrkräftebildung gesucht und genutzt werden können. Ein konzeptueller state-of-the-art Überblick und ein Review aktueller videobasierter Projekte zum Lehren und Forschen mit Videos in der Lehrkräftebildung vervollständigen den Sammelband.

We construct a measure of individual exposure to AI technology based on the occupation in which workers in our sample were first employed and explore an event study design and a difference-in-differences approach to compare AI-exposed and non-exposed workers. Before AI became widely available, there is no evidence of differential pre-trends in workers’ well-being and concerns about their economic futures. Since 2015, however, with the increasing adoption of AI in firms across Germany, we find that AI-exposed workers have become less satisfied with their life and job and more concerned about job security and their personal economic situation. However, we find no evidence of a significant impact of AI on workers’ mental health, anxiety, or depression.

The SOEP allows for a direct mapping from individual circumstances to individual net wealth and for a detailed decomposition of net wealth inequality into a variety of circumstances; among them childhood background, intergenerational transfers, and regional characteristics. The ratio of inequality of opportunity to total inequality is stable from 2002 to 2019. This is in sharp contrast to labor earnings, where ex-ante IOp is declining over time. Our estimates suggest that about 62% of the inequality in net wealth is due to circumstances. The most important circumstances are intergenerational transfers, parental occupation, and the region of birth. In contrast, gender and individuals' own education are the most important circumstances for earnings.

    We estimate the impact of a differential treatment of paid employees versus self-employed workers in a public health insurance system on the entry rate into entrepreneurship. In Germany, the public health insurance system is mandatory for most paid employees, but not for the self-employed, who usually buy private health insurance. Private health insurance contributions are relatively low for the young and healthy, and until 2013 also for males, but less attractive at the other ends of these dimensions and if membership in the public health insurance system allows other family members to be covered by contribution-free family insurance. Therefore, the health insurance system can create incentives or disincentives to starting up a business depending on the family’s situation and health. We estimate a discrete time hazard rate model of entrepreneurial entry based on representative household panel data for Germany, which include personal health information, and we account for nonrandom sample selection. We estimate that an increase in the health insurance cost differential between self-employed workers and paid employees by 100 euro per month decreases the annual probability of entry into self-employment by 0.38 percentage points, i.e. about a third of the average annual entry rate. The results show that the phenomenon of entrepreneurship lock, which an emerging literature describes for the system of employer provided health insurance in the USA, can also occur in a public health insurance system. Therefore, entrepreneurial activity should be taken into account when discussing potential health care reforms, not only in the USA and in Germany.
