    Grenzwahrnehmungen fordern nicht nur die Sinnesorgane heraus, sondern auch die Strategien der Darstellung. Dieses Buch geht den Inszenierungen von Grenzerfahrungen in literarischen Texten des 19. Jahrhunderts nach. Anhand der Werke von Kleist, Stifter und Poe untersucht es die Transformation historisch bedingter Wahrnehmungsmuster im Zuge der literarischen Gestaltung von Grenzüberschreitungen. In innovativer Weise werden dabei an Dekonstruktion und Psychoanalyse orientierte Textanalysen mit aktuellen wahrnehmungstheoretischen Fragestellungen verbunden und für interkulturelle sowie intermediale Perspektiven geöffnet.
