    Dieses Buch rekonstruiert den ebenso populären wie ungeklärten Inbegriff psychoanalytischer Kulturtheorie: Sublimierung. Lektüren zu Goethe, Schopenhauer und Nietzsche, der "Sublimierung" als Schlüsselkonzept genealogischer Zivilisationstheorie etabliert, bereiten das Studium zu Freud vor: Zunächst konzipiert als Ideal der Befreiung von aller Autorität, meint Sublimierung später zunehmend Unterdrückung der Triebe; am Ende formuliert Freud die Apologie des "Leviathan" im kalten Licht psychologischen Expertenwissens. Weiterhin erörtert der Autor exemplarisch die Rezeption der klassischen Sublimierungslehre durch Thomas Mann, Adorno und Lacan. Sublimierung wird denkbar jenseits von erzwungenem Triebschicksal und Weltabkehr - als via regia zur Erschließung der "wirklichen Welt" und ihres Freiheitspotentials. (Verlagsangaben)

    Dieses Buch rekonstruiert den ebenso populären wie ungeklärten Inbegriff psychoanalytischer Kulturtheorie: Sublimierung. Lektüren zu Goethe, Schopenhauer und Nietzsche, der "Sublimierung" als Schlüsselkonzept genealogischer Zivilisationstheorie etabliert, bereiten das Studium zu Freud vor: Zunächst konzipiert als Ideal der Befreiung von aller Autorität, meint Sublimierung später zunehmend Unterdrückung der Triebe; am Ende formuliert Freud die Apologie des "Leviathan" im kalten Licht psychologischen Expertenwissens. Weiterhin erörtert der Autor exemplarisch die Rezeption der klassischen Sublimierungslehre durch Thomas Mann, Adorno und Lacan. Sublimierung wird denkbar jenseits von erzwungenem Triebschicksal und Weltabkehr - als via regia zur Erschließung der "wirklichen Welt" und ihres Freiheitspotentials. (Verlagsangaben)
