    Dieses Werk untersucht die Spuren, die der Friedenprozess mit der Guerrilla FARC-EP in der kolumbianischen Fernsehfiktion hinterlassen hat. Dazu ergründet es das Phänomen kolumbianischer Versöhnungstelenovelas, welche untrennbar mit dem nationalen Transitional Justice Prozess verknüpft sind. Gestützt auf Analysen der Telenovelas und Expert:innen-Interviews wird das Versöhnungspotential der Telenovelas beleuchtet und werden Chancen und Risiken ausgelotet, die aus der Nutzung von massenmediierten Formaten der Popkultur in Friedensprozessen erwachsen. Die Telenovelas, die vorschnell als seichte Unterhaltung abgetan werden könnten, stellen sich als integraler Bestandteil des kolumbianischen Transitional Justice Strategie heraus.

    Ist das Radio das neue Medium der Literatur? Das fragen Ende der 1920er Jahre sowjetische Schriftsteller, die an ihrem wichtigsten literarischen Projekt, dem sozialistischen Realismus, arbeiten. Die Herausforderung einer universellen Literatursprache führt zu einer völlig neuen Poetik: zur Radiopoetik. Diese hat jedoch, so zeigt Oxana Monteiro, fatale Folgen für den Schriftsteller und sein Schaffen. Denn je mehr er versucht, das individualistische Schreiben zu Gunsten eines kollektiven elektroakustischen Sprechens zu überwinden, desto stärker wird er zum Beschwörer einer politischen, quasi sakralen Macht, die - vom Radio unterstützt - unsichtbar und allgegenwärtig agiert

    This paper examines the effect of the multilingual farm broadcast on the access to agricultural information in Nigeria. Farm broadcast programmes on radio and television were compiled and the language of presentation examined for each of the programme. The diversity of the languages in Nigeria presupposes that for farmers to have access to agricultural information through the radio and television, the language of presentation has to be based on that of the listeners. The study recommends that information sources to farmers should explore multilingual sources to ensure farmers’ access to agricultural information. (Nord J Afr Stud/GIGA)

    The opening decades of the twentieth century witnessed a profound transformation in the history of modern sound media, with workers in US film, radio, and record industries developing pioneering production methods and performance styles tailored to emerging technologies of electric sound reproduction that directly shaped dominant forms and experiences of modern sound culture. Focusing on broadcasting's initial expansion period during the 1920s, 'Making Radio' explores the forms of creative labor pursued for the medium before the better-known network era of the 1930s and 1940s, assessing their role in shaping radio's own identity and identifying affinities with parallel practices pursued for conversion-era film and phonography.

    Ist das Radio das neue Medium der Literatur? Das fragen Ende der 1920er Jahre sowjetische Schriftsteller, die an ihrem wichtigsten literarischen Projekt, dem sozialistischen Realismus, arbeiten. Die Herausforderung einer universellen Literatursprache führt zu einer völlig neuen Poetik: zur Radiopoetik. Diese hat jedoch, so zeigt Oxana Monteiro, fatale Folgen für den Schriftsteller und sein Schaffen. Denn je mehr er versucht, das individualistische Schreiben zu Gunsten eines kollektiven elektroakustischen Sprechens zu überwinden, desto stärker wird er zum Beschwörer einer politischen, quasi sakralen Macht, die - vom Radio unterstützt - unsichtbar und allgegenwärtig agiert.
