    Der vorliegende Band wirft ein Schlaglicht auf den Status der Geisteswissenschaften in der Sowjetunion am Beispiel der Sowjetrepublik Aserbaidschan. Bei dem hier erstmalig in Übersetzung vorgestellten Werk handelt es sich um eine ab den späten 1920er Jahren abgefasste und im Jahr 1940 vorgelegte literaturwissenschaftliche Abschlussarbeit. Durch die Lektüre lernt die heutige Leserschaft zum einen den bedeutenden aserbaidschanischen Dichter Füzuli (1494–1556) unter verschiedenen Aspekten kennen. Zum anderen behandelt das Buch die Frage, inwieweit Diktaturen eine Anpassung des Denkens unter der Bevölkerung bewirken können. This volume sheds a light on the humanities of the Soviet Union using the example of Azerbaijan. The work presented here for the first time ever in translation is a literary thesis first presented in 1940. Today's reader gets acquainted with an important classical Azerbaijani poet, Füzuli. At the same time, the book deals with the question to what extent dictatorships lead to the adaptation of the thinking of their inhabitants. The Turkologist PD. Dr. Michael Reinhard Heß, the translator and editor of "Füzuli's Work of Art", is one of the best-known translators of Azerbaijani literature in the German-speaking world.

The work presented here for the first time ever in translation is a literary thesis first presented in 1940. Today's reader gets acquainted with an important classical Azerbaijani poet, Füzuli. At the same time, the book deals with the question to what extent dictatorships lead to the adaptation of the thinking of their inhabitants. The Turkologist PD. Dr. Michael Reinhard Heß, the translator and editor of "Füzuli's Work of Art", is one of the best-known translators of Azerbaijani literature in the German-speaking world.

    Der vorliegende Band wirft ein Schlaglicht auf den Status der Geisteswissenschaften in der Sowjetunion am Beispiel der Sowjetrepublik Aserbaidschan. Bei dem hier erstmalig in Übersetzung vorgestellten Werk handelt es sich um eine ab den späten 1920er Jahren abgefasste und im Jahr 1940 vorgelegte literaturwissenschaftliche Abschlussarbeit. Durch die Lektüre lernt die heutige Leserschaft zum einen den bedeutenden aserbaidschanischen Dichter Füzuli (1494–1556) unter verschiedenen Aspekten kennen. Zum anderen behandelt das Buch die Frage, inwieweit Diktaturen eine Anpassung des Denkens unter der Bevölkerung bewirken können.
