    Guy Hocquenghems Essay Das homosexuelle Verlangen kann »als erstes Beispiel für das gelten, was heute Queer Theory heißt«, schrieb Douglas Crimp im Klappentext einer US-amerikanischen Neuausgabe dieses Buches. Der französische Aktivist und Theoretiker, Journalist und Romancier prägte in den 1970er und 1980er Jahren die Geschichte der radikalen Schwulenbewegung nicht nur seines Landes, sondern auch der alten Bundesrepublik mit. Während das Interesse an Hocquenghem in Frankreich und den USA wieder wächst, wird er im deutschsprachigen Raum heute kaum noch rezipiert. Doch die Lektüre lohnt sich, denn sie bietet Perspektiven, sexuelle Orientierung nicht starr, sondern »offen« und prozesshaft zu denken – eben »musikalisch«: Auch ein Ton tritt nur in Erscheinung, wenn er seine ganze Amplitude ausschöpft. 2018, fünfzig Jahre nach der sogenannten sexuellen Revolution und zum 30. Todestag von Guy Hocquenghem, unternehmen es die Autoren des vorliegenden Bandes, aktuelle identitäts- und rassismuskritische queere Positionen mit diesem Denker in Diskussion zu bringen. Mit Beiträgen von Guy Hocquenghem (übersetzt von Salih Alexander Wolter), Rüdiger Lautmann, Norbert Reck und Heinz-Jürgen Voß Guy Hocquenghem´s essay »Homosexual Desire« »may well be the first example of what we now call queer theory,« wrote Douglas Crimp on the back-cover blurb of a new US edition of this book. The French activist and theorist, journalist and novelist lived from 1946 to 1988 and helped shape the history of the radical gay movement in the 1970s and 1980s, not only of his country, but also of the old Federal Republic. While the interest in Hocquenghem is growing again in France and the US, he is largely ignored today in the German-speaking world. But reading him is worthwhile, because he offers perspectives for thinking about sexual orientation not as something rigid but »open« and in process – something »musical«, that is: A sound also occurs only when it exhausts its entire amplitude. In 2018, fifty years after the so-called sexual revolution and on the thirtieth anniversary of the death of Guy Hocquenghem, the authors of the present volume undertake to bring current queer critiques of identity and racism to an exchange with this thinker. With contributions by Guy Hocquenghem (translated by Salih Alexander Wolter), Rüdiger Lautmann, Norbert Reck and Heinz-Jürgen Voß

Mit Erfolg: In Debatten um Geschlechter- und Gleichstellungspolitik finden sich zunehmend feindbildgesonnene, antifeministische Narrative davon, was "der Feminismus" oder an geschlechtlicher Vielfalt orientierte Gleichstellungspolitik denn sei. Der hier vorliegende Sammelband setzt sich mit dieser Entwicklung kritisch auseinander. Antifeminismus ist kein einheitliches politisches Projekt: viel mehr wird er von seinen Akteur/innen zu diesem gemacht. Die im Band versammelten Beiträge geben einen systematischen Einblick in die unterschiedlichen Strömungen und die sie tragenden Organisationen. In Anbetracht der Fülle antifeministischer Akteur/innen, Positionen und Aktionen, werden zentrale Themenfelder und Strategien benannt und kontextualisiert sowie Diskurse und Öffentlichkeitsfelder – in denen diese wirken – beleuchtet. Ziel ist es, die Tragweite des organisierten Antifeminismus zu illustrieren und einen Beitrag in der Diskussion um Gegenstrategien zu liefern.

These artists have indeed changed the world as we know it. Breaking Down the Walls of Heartache is a story for a wide audience, not just the LGBT community but a broad spectrum of music lovers who are fascinated by these characters, events, stories and songs. Während das Interesse an Hocquenghem in Frankreich und den USA wieder wächst, wird er im deutschsprachigen Raum heute kaum noch rezipiert. Doch die Lektüre lohnt sich, denn sie bietet Perspektiven, sexuelle Orientierung nicht starr, sondern »offen« und prozesshaft zu denken – eben »musikalisch«: Auch ein Ton tritt nur in Erscheinung, wenn er seine ganze Amplitude ausschöpft. 2018, fünfzig Jahre nach der sogenannten sexuellen Revolution und zum 30. Todestag von Guy Hocquenghem, unternehmen es die Autoren des vorliegenden Bandes, aktuelle identitäts- und rassismuskritische queere Positionen mit diesem Denker in Diskussion zu bringen. Mit Beiträgen von Guy Hocquenghem (übersetzt von Salih Alexander Wolter), Rüdiger Lautmann, Norbert Reck und Heinz-Jürgen Voß. Guy Hocquenghem's essay »Homosexual Desire« »may well be the first example of what we now call queer theory,« wrote Douglas Crimp on the back-cover blurb of a new US edition of this book. The French activist and theorist, journalist and novelist lived from 1946 to 1988 and helped shape the history of the radical gay movement in the 1970s and 1980s, not only of his country, but also of the old Federal Republic. While the interest in Hocquenghem is growing again in France and the US, he is largely ignored today in the German-speaking world. But reading him is worthwhile, because he offers perspectives for thinking about sexual orientation not as something rigid but »open« and in process – something »musical«, that is: A sound also occurs only when it exhausts its entire amplitude. In 2018, fifty years after the so-called sexual revolution and on the thirtieth anniversary of the death of Guy Hocquenghem, the authors of the present volume undertake to bring current queer critiques of identity and racism to an exchange with this thinker. With contributions by Guy Hocquenghem (translated by Salih Alexander Wolter), Rüdiger Lautmann, Norbert Reck and Heinz-Jürgen Voß.

    Guy Hocquenghems Essay Das homosexuelle Verlangen kann »als erstes Beispiel für das gelten, was heute Queer Theory heißt«, schrieb Douglas Crimp im Klappentext einer US-amerikanischen Neuausgabe dieses Buches. Der französische Aktivist und Theoretiker, Journalist und Romancier prägte in den 1970er und 1980er Jahren die Geschichte der radikalen Schwulenbewegung nicht nur seines Landes, sondern auch der alten Bundesrepublik mit. Während das Interesse an Hocquenghem in Frankreich und den USA wieder wächst, wird er im deutschsprachigen Raum heute kaum noch rezipiert. Doch die Lektüre lohnt sich, denn sie bietet Perspektiven, sexuelle Orientierung nicht starr, sondern »offen« und prozesshaft zu denken – eben »musikalisch«: Auch ein Ton tritt nur in Erscheinung, wenn er seine ganze Amplitude ausschöpft. 2018, fünfzig Jahre nach der sogenannten sexuellen Revolution und zum 30. Todestag von Guy Hocquenghem, unternehmen es die Autoren des vorliegenden Bandes, aktuelle identitäts- und rassismuskritische queere Positionen mit diesem Denker in Diskussion zu bringen. Mit Beiträgen von Guy Hocquenghem (übersetzt von Salih Alexander Wolter), Rüdiger Lautmann, Norbert Reck und Heinz-Jürgen Voß. Guy Hocquenghem´s essay »Homosexual Desire« »may well be the first example of what we now call queer theory,« wrote Douglas Crimp on the back-cover blurb of a new US edition of this book. The French activist and theorist, journalist and novelist lived from 1946 to 1988 and helped shape the history of the radical gay movement in the 1970s and 1980s, not only of his country, but also of the old Federal Republic. While the interest in Hocquenghem is growing again in France and the US, he is largely ignored today in the German-speaking world. But reading him is worthwhile, because he offers perspectives for thinking about sexual orientation not as something rigid but »open« and in process – something »musical«, that is: A sound also occurs only when it exhausts its entire amplitude. In 2018, fifty years after the so-called sexual revolution and on the thirtieth anniversary of the death of Guy Hocquenghem, the authors of the present volume undertake to bring current queer critiques of identity and racism to an exchange with this thinker. With contributions by Guy Hocquenghem (translated by Salih Alexander Wolter), Rüdiger Lautmann, Norbert Reck and Heinz-Jürgen Voß.
