    Auf welche Weise ist Kolonialität an der Herausbildung von Geschlecht beteiligt? Am Beispiel der Schweiz im 20. Jahrhundert richtet Patricia Purtschert den Blick auf zwei Figuren, die zentral sind für die Herstellung von Nation: die »Hausfrau« und den »Bergsteiger«. Sie zeichnet nach, wie die Hausfrau in ständiger Abgrenzung von rassifizierten Anderen als weiße Vorsteherin einer zivilisierten und konsumorientierten Häuslichkeit entsteht, während sich der Bergsteiger als Inbegriff weißer Männlichkeit im kolonialen Wettstreit um die höchsten Gipfel der Welt formiert.     Das Leben junger Hausfrauen ist heute langweilig und ziellos -, so konnte man die Aussagen zweier Fernsehfilme zusammenfassen. Gemeint waren in diesen Filmen verhei­ ratete, kinderlose, nicht berufstatige Hausfrauen zwischen 20 und 30 Jahren. Sie fUhlen sich in ihrem Leben gegenUber der Ubrigen Gesellschaft abgekoppelt, inhaltsleer, unver­ standen - besonders von ihren Altersgenossinnen, die durch Ehe, Kinder und Beruf doppelt und dreifach belastet sind und haufig die abweisende Redensart gebrauchen: "Die haben vielleicht Sorgen". So war es aufschlu~reich, einmal wissenschaftlich die Wirkung solcher geseIlschafts­ kritischer Filme auf die Zuschauer zu UberprUfen. Wie wirken sie allgemein auf die Fernsehzuschauer? Wie reagieren die speziell Angesprochenen, namlichjunge Hausfrauen und ihre Ehemanner? Urn dies zu prUfen, wurden zwei Filme verschiedener Gattung, namlich der Fernsehfilm "Hanna Lessing" von Knoop und eine Dokumentation "Jun­ ge Hausfrauen" von Ciechowski zwei gleichartigen Gruppen von je 200 Zuschauern im Alter von 18 bis 36 Jahren im Institut Psydata in Frankfurt vorgefUhrt. Danach wurdel' die Zuschauer gebeten, einen ziemlich aufwendigen Fragebogen auszufUllen. Der Fragebogen bezog sich einerseits auf Darstellungen und Inhalte der beiden Filme: Diese Fragen waren nur aufgrund des Gesehenen zu beantworten. Der Fragebogen be- 109 sich andererseits auf soziale und politische Meinungen der Zuschauer, die sowohl vorher als nachher mit denselben Fragen getestet wurden. Gaben die Zuschauer nach­ her andere Antworten im Meinungsfragebogen als vorher, so wurde dies als Filmwir­ kung gedeutet und registriert

Dabei wird der Blick auf zwei Figuren gerichtet, die zentral sind für die Herstellung der Schweizer Nation: die »Hausfrau« und der »Bergsteiger«. Die Studie zeichnet nach, wie die bürgerliche Hausfrau, die als Norm für die Schweizerin fungiert, in ständiger Abgrenzung von rassifizierten Anderen als weiße Vorsteherin einer zivilisierten und konsumorientierten Häuslichkeit entworfen wird. Im Unterschied dazu entsteht das Ideal des weißen Bergsteigers, das als Vorbild für den männlichen Schweizer Bürger dient, im kolonialen Wettstreit um die höchsten Gipfel der Welt. Koloniales Weiß-Machen erweist sich in dieser postkolonialen Analyse als grundlegendes Element einer zutiefst vergeschlechtlichten Nation
