    "Especially evident in Victorian-era writings is a rhetorical tendency to liken adults to children and children to adults. Claudia Nelson examines this literary phenomenon and explores the ways in which writers discussed the child-adult relationship during this period. Though far from ubiquitous, the terms "child-woman," "child-man," and "old-fashioned child" appear often enough in Victorian writings to prompt critical questions about the motivations and meanings of such generational border-crossings. Nelson carefully considers the use of these terms and connects invocations of age inversion to developments in post-Darwinian scientific thinking and attitudes about gender roles, social class, sexuality, power, and economic mobility.     Abstract AbstractComputer- und Videospiele haben sich mittlerweile insbesondere bei Kindern und Jugendlichen als zusätzliches Medienangebot etabliert. Interaktive Unterhaltung nimmt somit in vielen Haushalten einen Platz neben klassischen Medien ein. Personen ab 50 Jahren haben bislang nur einen marginalen Anteil an den Computerspielenden. Sowohl aus Sicht der Forschung, als auch von Seiten der Industrie erhalten sie kaum Aufmerksamkeit. Gleichzeitig zählen sie jedoch zu den intensivsten Mediennutzenden, verfügen über überdurchschnittlich viel Freizeit und haben, wie die steigende Zahl der Onliner in dieser Altersgruppe zeigt, ein zunehmendes Interesse sich mit interaktiven Technologien auseinanderzusetzen. Vor diesem Hintergrund geht die vorliegende Studie der Frage nach, ob die Potentiale von Computer- und Videospielen auch für Personen ab 50 Jahre erschlossen werden können. Im Rahmen einer empirischen Untersuchung (Experimentalstudie) wurden sowohl die Akzeptanz als auch die Einsatzmöglichkeiten von Computer- und Videospielen aus Sicht der Personengruppe untersucht
