    Die Erforschung der Kulturstile gehört seit dem sogenannten "cultural turn" in den 80er Jahren des letzten Jahrhunderts zu den Herausforderungen wissenschaftlichen Forschens im Spannungsfeld von Fachkommunikation, Textpragmatik, Kulturwissenschaft, Semiotik und Stilistik. Dieses Buch untersucht in interkulturellem Ansatz die jeweils spezifischen Kulturstile als Kommunikationsstile. Beispielhaft werden deutsche und chinesische Image-Broschüren verglichen, die in der Wirtschaftskommunikation als eine der wichtigsten PR-Maßnahmen fungieren und mit ihren semiotischen Auffälligkeiten forschungsrelevant sind. Die erarbeiteten Erkenntnisse bieten nicht nur neuartige Einblicke in die soziokulturellen Besonderheiten der beiden Länder, sie leisten auch Hilfestellungen für kooperierende deutsche und chinesische Unternehmen, um ihre Kommunikationspraxis zu optimieren.
