Dieses Buch untersucht aus vornehmlich gesprächsanalytischer Perspektive, wie Images und Beziehungen der Akteure interaktiv konstituiert und ausgehandelt werden. Im Fokus stehen dabei Fachdiskussionen von Wissenschaftlern auf interdisziplinären Konferenzen. Grundlage ist ein von Soziologie und Psychologie befruchtetes linguistisches Methodeninventar. Die Autorin zeigt, wie Wissenschaftler in Diskussionen Images aufbauen, angreifen und verteidigen, wobei die Fachidentität der Akteure von zentraler Bedeutung ist.     This work takes advantage of high-resolution silicon stencil masks to build air-stable complementary OTFTs using a low-temperature fabrication process. Plastic electronics based on organic thin-film transistors (OTFTs) pave the way for cheap, flexible and large-area products. Over the past few years, OTFTs have undergone remarkable advances in terms of reliability, performance and scale of integration. Many factors contribute to the allure of this technology; the masks exhibit excellent stiffness and stability, thus allowing OTFTs with submicrometer channel lengths and superb device uniformity to be patterned. Furthermore, the OTFTs employ an ultra-thin gate dielectric that provides a sufficiently high capacitance to enable the transistors to operate at voltages as low as 3 V. The critical challenges in this development are the subtle mechanisms that govern the properties of aggressively scaled OTFTs. These mechanisms, dictated by device physics, are well described and implemented into circuit-design tools to ensure adequate simulation accuracy

    6 Die weitgehende Überarbeitung des Manuskriptes bot erneut die Moglichkeit, noch einmal Veränderungen an der Systematik des Buches vorzunehmen. Insbesondere wurde die "Kurze Auswahlbibliographie" (in die jetzt auch die bisher im Abschnitt B. 6. behandelte biographische und historische Literatur aufgenommen wurde) vor der Behandlung der Bibliotheksprobleme eingeordnet, so daß dieser Teil an den Schluß des Buches rückte und unter der erweiterten Thematik "Einführung in das Bibliothekswesen und einige Aspekte der Informatik" zu einem selbständigen Kapitel wurde. Dabei ist jedoch nach wie vor auf eine eingehendere Darstellung fachspezifischer Probleme der Informatik bewußt verzichtet worden, weil dies für den Kreis der Informationsnutzer, an den das Buch sich ausschließlich wendet, zu weit führen würde. Interessenten seien auf die einschlägige Fachliteratur, insbesondere auf das häufig zitierte, sehr empfehlenswerte Buch von MICHAJLOV, CERNYJ und GILJAREVSKIJ verwiesen. Trotz (oder gerade wegen) der genannten Änderungen bin ich mir bewußt, daß auch die vorliegende Fassung des Buches nicht frei von Mängeln sein kann, da es für einen einzelnen fast unmöglich ist, die gesamte Entwicklung der Fachliteratur und -information auf dem Gebiet der Chemie vollständig und aktuell darzustellen. Ich bin daher auch weiterhin dankbar für Korrekturen und Hinweise aller Art.
