[Dt.:] Das Poetry Translation Centre ist eine Einrichtung aus Großbritannien, die ausgewählte Gedichte von internationalen Autoren ins Englische übersetzen. Ein Abschnitt widmet sich einem Gedicht des Schriftstellers Hiren Bhattacharjya, der in Assamesisch veröffentlicht. Das Gedicht "October Landscape" ist sowohl in der Originalsprache als auch in zwei englischen Übersetzungen wiedergegeben. Zudem werden auch Hintergrundinformationen zum Autor geboten, der 1932 geboren wurde und zu den bekanntesten modernen Assamesisch-Autoren gehört. - [Engl.:] The Poetry Translation Centre was established by the poet Sarah Maguire in 2004 to translate contemporary poetry from Africa, Asia and Latin America to a high literary standard. One section deals with poems of Hiren Bhattacharjya. He was born in 1932 and is one of the most popular contemporary poets in Assam. His first poem was published in 1957. His first anthology of poems Mor Desh Mor Premor Kabita was published in 1972. Available are the Assamese and some English versions of his poem "October Landscape"
