Main description: Im Rahmen ihrer alljährlichen Arbeitskonferenz veranstalteten die Herausgeber und Mitarbeiter der Historisch-Kritischen Ausgabe der Werke und Briefe Adalbert Stifters ein Symposion, das vom 22. bis zum 25. Oktober 2003 in Linz-St. Magdalena stattfand und unter dem programmatischen Titel »Stifter und Stifterforschung im 21. Jahrhundert« stand. Als Beitrag zum Jubiläums-Jahr 2005, in dem sich Stifters Geburtstag zum 200. Male jährte, setzte es sich zum Ziel, unter den thematischen Schwerpunkten »Biographie - Wissenschaft - Poetik« die vielfältigen Forschungsergebnisse zumal der letzten Jahrzehnte zu sichten und zu werten, um daraus Ziele, Aufgaben und Perspektiven für die künftige Stifterforschung zu formulieren
Main description: In the framework of their annual conference, the editors and experts working on the Historical-Critical Edition of the Works and Letters of Adalbert Stifter organized a symposium in Linz (St. Magdalena) from 22 to 25 October 2003 with the programmatic title »Stifter and Stifter Research in the 21st Century«. The aim of the symposium was to make a significant contribution to the Stifter anniversary in 2005 (the 200th anniversary of his birth) concentrating on the topics 'biography - science - poetics' and reviewing and evaluating the research findings notably of the last 10 years with a view to formulating goals, tasks, and perspectives for future research on this author
