Der Künstler hat sich hauptsächlich in seinem Spätwerk intensiv mit diesem Motiv befasst - seine Engelbilder zählen zu den beliebtesten Postkartenmotiven. Neben den chronologisch geordneten, ganzseitigen Wiedergaben aller 80 Engelsdarstellungen enthält der Begleitkatalog einen Beitrag zur Ikonografie des Motivs in der Kunstgeschichte. Gut herausgearbeitet sind die biografischen und spirituellen Bezüge des Sujets zum Leben des Künstlers, der Engel durchaus als ambivalente Wesen darstellte. Wegen der Beliebtheit des Motivs kann die thematische Zusammenstellung - insbesondere in den Regionen um Essen und Hamburg - ab mittleren Beständen angeschafft werden.     Enthält alle 80 Engelsdarstellungen Klees, einen Essay zur Ikonografie des Motivs Engel in der Kunstgeschichte sowie Informationen zu biografischen und spirituellen Bezügen dieses Motivs zum Leben des Künstlers, der Engel durchaus als ambivalente Wesen darstellte. (LK/HA: Stegers) Derzeit in Bern und ab dem 1. Februar in Essen (bis 20.04.2013, danach Hamburg 26.04. - 07.07.2013) zu sehen sind Paul Klees Engelbilder. Der Künstler hat sich hauptsächlich in seinem Spätwerk intensiv mit diesem Motiv befasst - seine Engelbilder zählen zu den beliebtesten Postkartenmotiven. Neben den chronologisch geordneten, ganzseitigen Wiedergaben aller 80 Engelsdarstellungen enthält der Begleitkatalog einen Beitrag zur Ikonografie des Motivs in der Kunstgeschichte. Gut herausgearbeitet sind die biografischen und spirituellen Bezüge des Sujets zum Leben des Künstlers, der Engel durchaus als ambivalente Wesen darstellte. Wegen der Beliebtheit des Motivs kann die thematische Zusammenstellung - insbesondere in den Regionen um Essen und Hamburg - ab mittleren Beständen angeschafft werden.
