    Abstract ; Als Klassischer Philologe bekleidet Friedrich Nietzsche in der Philologie des 19. Jahrhunderts eine Außenseiterposition, die hauptsächlich auf seiner in Zunftkreisen als disziplinfern verurteilten Tragödienschrift gründet. Erst in der zweiten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts beschäftigt sich die Klassische Philologie intensiv mit seinen Schriften und bemüht sich um eine positive Neubewertung des Philologen Nietzsche, wobei er immer noch oftmals als der Disziplin Außenstehender behandelt wird. Diese Arbeit unternimmt den Versuch, Nietzsche in die Disziplin-geschichte zu reintegrieren und wissenschaftshistorisch zu verorten. Anhand biographischer Daten und wissenschafts- historischer Eckpunkte wird dargestellt, dass es sich bei Nietzsche um einen geradezu typischen Klassischen Philologen handelt, dessen Habitus sich als deckungsgleich mit dem Selbstbild der Philologie im 19. Jahrhundert beschreiben lässt. Seine philologischen Schriften, die sich kritisch mit der Philologie auseinandersetzen, dienen als konstruktive Reformvorschläge, aus denen ein Philologiekonzept Nietzsches rekonstruiert wird. Dieses lässt sich in das neuhumanistische Philologiebild des frühen 19. Jahrhunderts einreihen, als diese aufgrund der Synthese von Wissenschaft und Bildung (Wilhelm von Humboldt) zum Leitfach avancierte. Nietzsches Philologiekonzept verweist zudem auf tradierte Disziplinentwürfe: Wie Friedrich August Wolf definiert er die Philologie über die besondere Dignität ihres Gegenstandes, die jedoch nicht nur behauptet, sondern auch wissenschaftlich und methodisch begründet werden muss. Es braucht demnach eine Methodik (philologisches Lesen, August Boeckh), die der Klassizität des Gegenstandes gerecht wird. Die Normativität des Klassischen widerstrebt jedoch jeglicher Objektivität, weshalb Nietzsche auf den exklusiven Philologen setzt, wie er ihn, angelehnt an das philologische Ethos von Karl Lachmann, skizziert. ; Abstract ; As a classical philologist Friedrich Nietzsche holds the position of an outsider in the philology of the 19th century, which correlates with his paper „Die Geburt der Tragödie aus dem Geiste der Musik“. It was critized as nonscientific in perspective of the philological discipline. After the mid-20th century classical philologists start focussing on Nietzsche’s writings and try to reevaluate him as a philologist in a positive way. However, he is still often treated as an outsider from the philological discipline. This thesis tries to reintegrate Nietzsche into the history of the philological discipline. Based on biographical data and facts of the history of science it will be demonstrated, in what way Nietzsche can be seen as an almost typical classical philologist, whose habitus can be described as congruent with the self-image of the philology in the 19th century. His philological writings, which deal with philology in a hypercritical way, serve as constructive reform proposals, that can be used to reconstruct Nietzsche’s own conception of philology. This understanding of the philological discipline can be integrated into the image of neohumanistic education or that of philology in the early 19th century. When philology advanced to the position of a leading discipline as a result of the synthesis of science and education (Wilhelm von Humboldt). Nietzsche’s conception of philology also refers to traditional philological drafts: Like Friedrich August Wolf Nietzsche defines philology by the special dignity of its scientific object, which is not only assumed but also has to be scientifically and methodically proven. Hence a methodology is needed, that fulfils the classicism of the scientific object (philological reading, August Boeckh). But the normativity of the classicism resists scientific objectivity in general. That explains the need for the exceptional type of philologist, like Nietzsche describes referring to the philological ethos by Karl Lachmann.

They address this otherwise intractable question with deft and occasionally daring readings of a variety of texts from the ancient world, including—but not limited to—the scriptures of early Judaism and Christianity. The thrust of this book can be summed up not so much in one question as in four: o What is the role of revelation in the interpretation of Scripture? o What might it look like for an author to be inspired? o What motivates a claim to the inspired interpretation of Scripture? o Who is inspired to interpret Scripture?     Neben Abenteuern im Kontext von "Nibelungenlied", Dietrich von Bern und "Kudrun" liegt der Fokus der deutschen Spielmanns- und Heldendichtung auf Ereignissen im griechisch-orientalischen Raum. Eine der interessantesten Figuren aus diesem Umfeld ist zweifellos Wolfdietrich, der von seinen Brüdern aus Griechenland vertrieben wird und 32 Jahre im Exil verbringt. Dabei erweist sich der Held als vorbildlicher Ritter, der (fast) nie seine gefangen gesetzten elf Vasallen vergisst und erfolgreich gegen Zwerge, Riesen, Heiden und Drachen kämpft. Aus eigener Kraft und mit Gottes Hilfe steigt Wolfdietrich schließlich zum christlichen Universalherrscher auf, der über Rom und Konstantinopel gebietet. "Wolfdietrich B" nimmt unter den fünf Hauptversionen (A, B, C, D, E) eine zentrale Rolle ein, da der Text auf eine wohl im 13. Jahrhundert ausgeformte Redaktion zurückgeht, die auch in die Kompilationen A und D Eingang gefunden hat. Der Text von Version B ist jedoch nur in drei lückenhaften Handschriften aus dem 15. und 16. Jahrhundert erhalten (B, H, K), weshalb eine Edition nach dem klassischen Leithandschriftenprinzip nicht zweckmäßig erscheint. Vielmehr werden die Redaktionen B/K und H in dieser kritischen Ausgabe in Paralleldruck präsentiert, damit der doch beträchtlich divergierende Textbestand von "Wolfdietrich B" umfassend dokumentiert werden kann.

    Lange glaubte man, in "Ortnit / Wolfdietrich A" die älteste Textversion dieses über fünf Jahrhunderte tradierten Heldenepos gefunden zu haben. Heute überwiegt jedoch die Einsicht, dass jede Version (A, B, C, D und E) ihr eigenständiges Gepräge besitzt und im Laufe der Zeit mehr oder weniger stark überarbeitet wurde. Auch Version A ist wohl letztlich das Produkt eines Kompilators, der versuchte, den Stoff an die Dietrichepik anzunähern. Die neue kritische Ausgabe von Fassung A bildet erstmals die gesamte Überlieferung ab und erschließt das Doppelepos nach dem jeweils besten Textzeugen: Neben "Ortnit" (nach Hs. W) und "Wolfdietrich" (nach Hs. A) wird auch eine auf Fassung A basierende Passage aus dem gedruckten Straßburger Heldenbuch (nach Dr. H1) berücksichtigt und im Anhang ediert. So stehen der Forschung nun neue, überlieferungsnahe Ausgaben der wichtigsten Redaktionen von "Ortnit / Wolfdietrich" (A, B, C, D und k) zur Verfügung.
