    In den letzten Jahren ist der strukturelle Ausschluss von »People of Colour« und »Schwarzen Menschen« durch weiße Kultur- und Bildungsinstitutionen immer mehr in den Fokus künstlerischer sowie auch institutioneller Kritik geraten. Neue Förderinstrumente und Arbeitspraktiken führten oftmals nicht zu nachhaltigen Veränderungen. Zugleich werden immer wieder neue Strategien der Allianzenbildung und solidarischen Praxis initiiert.In den Beiträgen dieses Bandes kommen Künstler_innen, Kurator_innen und Wissenschaftler_innen zu Wort, die ihre Arbeitspraxis in Zusammenarbeit mit Institutionen und Mitstreiter_innen kritisch reflektieren. Das Ergebnis ist eine Bestandsaufnahme verschiedener aktueller Kämpfe zwischen selbstkritischem Lagebericht, Manifest und praxisnahem Handbuch. In this volume curators, artists and scientists reflect on current forms of critical and solidary practice in and around 'white' cultural and educational institutions.

    "The future belongs to the phantoms", Jacques Derrida stated in the movie Ghost Dance in 1983. In his future - our present tense - the authors of this text-picture book set out to pursue their traces in aesthetics, literary studies, musicology, political philosophy, the arts and psychoanalysis. Based on the guidelines of his processing of the phantom, this un-creature, experts and readers of Derrida paint an impressive picture of deconstruction, showing that it has nothing in common with any preference for obscurantism as it was claimed in the past and that the current allegation of the refusal to accept reality does not apply to it but that it rather infinitely serves the radical clarification of reason about itself. Including a contribution by Jacques Derrida published in German for the first time. "Die Zukunft gehört den Phantomen", so Jacques Derrida 1983 im Film Ghost Dance. In seiner Zukunft - unserer Gegenwart - begeben sich die Autor_innen dieses Text-Bild-Bandes auf deren Spuren in Kunst-, Literatur- und Musikwissenschaft, politischer Philosophie, Kunst und Psychoanalyse. Am Leitfaden seiner Abarbeitung an der UnGestalt des Phantoms zeichnen Derrida-Kenner und -Leser ein eindrückliches Bild der Dekonstruktion und zeigen, dass diese nichts mit einer früher oft unterstellten Vorliebe für Obskurantismus gemein hat noch vom aktuell erhobenen Vorwurf der Wirklichkeitsverweigerung getroffen wird, sondern im unendlichen Dienst einer radikalen Aufklärung der Vernunft über sich selbst steht. Mit einem erstmalig auf Deutsch erscheinenden Beitrag von Jacques Derrida.

    The first monograph on the artists group "Collective Actions", one of the most significant enterprises of modern and contemporary Russian art, studies their guiding esoteric principle of 'Empty action'. Departing from the seemingly mundane fact that their practice emerged in their free time from full-time employment for the Soviet State in a period of stagnating industrialisation, Marina Gerber identifies Empty action as a form of "art after work". The result is a comprehensive and profound investigation of the artistic and socio-historical context of Collective Actions' practice that bears some significance for contemporary debates on art and labour in a post-industrial age.     In den letzten Jahren ist der strukturelle Ausschluss von »People of Colour« und »Schwarzen Menschen« durch weiße Kultur- und Bildungsinstitutionen immer mehr in den Fokus künstlerischer sowie auch institutioneller Kritik geraten. Neue Förderinstrumente und Arbeitspraktiken führten oftmals nicht zu nachhaltigen Veränderungen. Zugleich werden immer wieder neue Strategien der Allianzenbildung und solidarischen Praxis initiiert.In den Beiträgen dieses Bandes kommen Künstler_innen, Kurator_innen und Wissenschaftler_innen zu Wort, die ihre Arbeitspraxis in Zusammenarbeit mit Institutionen und Mitstreiter_innen kritisch reflektieren. Das Ergebnis ist eine Bestandsaufnahme verschiedener aktueller Kämpfe zwischen selbstkritischem Lagebericht, Manifest und praxisnahem Handbuch.     The expression »to come out of the closet« calls for an analysis of how language and notional as well as social spaces interact and intersect to constitute »queer«. This performative book, a product of artistic research, is an exploration of the proverbial closet through linguistics, queer, and post-colonial theory. It is a project in which opacity, minority, and improvisation happen on the levels of content, analysis, and typography. 11 queer slangs from around the world become part of an exploration of queerness and knowledge from the Periphery through autoethnography, Édouard Glissant's concept of opacity, José Muñoz's disidentifications, and Gloria Anzaldúa's performative writing. Theory, personal accounts, and art are interwoven to offer an interdisciplinary reading of the slangs as queer methods of survival and resistance.
