    Sind Künstler_innen und Kultureinrichtungen kulturelle Übersetzer? Welche Rolle spielen Konzepte wie jenes der »Transkulturalität«? Die Beiträge des Bandes stellen das Thema der (trans-)kulturellen Übersetzung in den Mittelpunkt und schlagen eine Brücke zwischen Kunst und Kulturbetrieb. Dafür ist der sogenannte »Cultural Turn« ebenso relevant wie die Ergebnisse neuester Studien aus den Handlungsfeldern des Kulturbetriebs und -managements. Neben transkulturellen Phänomenen in bildender Kunst, Musik, Literatur und Theater widmen sich die Beiträger_innen aktuellen Fragestellungen der Kulturvermittlung auf Festivals, in Museen, Theatern, Bibliotheken, Konzert- und Opernsälen. Abschließend werden Prozesse des kulturellen Austauschs und des (inter-)nationalen Kulturmanagements fokussiert, die von ihren Akteur_innen gleichfalls modifizierte Denkstrukturen verlangen.     Are artists and cultural institutions cultural translators? Which part do concepts such as that of trans-culturality play? The contributions collected in this volume focus on the subject of (trans-)cultural translation and build a bridge between art and the cultural sector, the so-called "cultural turn" being just as relevant as the findings of the latest studies concerning the areas of activity in the cultural sector and management. Besides trans-cultural phenomena in fine arts, music, literature and theater, the authors explore current issues of cultural education at festivals, in museums, theaters, libraries, concert and opera halls. In conclusion, the focus is on processes of cultural exchange and (inter)national cultural managements that also require their players to develop modified thought patterns. Der Band blickt in dieser Hinsicht vor allem auf Siegfried und Brünhild. Siegfried ist im Nibelungenlied ein höfischer Held mit nur am Rande erwähnten übernatürlichen Kräften, in der nordischen Überlieferung geht er wie ein Märchen-Dummling in die Schmiedelehre und in der frühen Neuzeit wird er zum märchenhaften Drachenkämpfer und Jungfrauenbefreier. Die ebenso außergewöhnliche Brünhild erinnert an den Amazonenmythos der Antike und wird im hochmittelalterlichen Epos domestiziert. Das Wissen um Worms in der Welt schließlich wird von solchen Erzählungen nachhaltig geprägt. Das macht sie für Fragen der Stadtidentität, des Kulturtourismus und der künstlerischen Inszenierung interessant. Es ist also zweifel­los von Interesse, wie und zu welchem Zweck die alten Geschichten neu erzählt werden

    Are artists and cultural institutions cultural translators? Which part do concepts such as that of trans-culturality play? The contributions collected in this volume focus on the subject of (trans-)cultural translation and build a bridge between art and the cultural sector, the so-called "cultural turn" being just as relevant as the findings of the latest studies concerning the areas of activity in the cultural sector and management. Besides trans-cultural phenomena in fine arts, music, literature and theater, the authors explore current issues of cultural education at festivals, in museums, theaters, libraries, concert and opera halls. In conclusion, the focus is on processes of cultural exchange and (inter)national cultural managements that also require their players to develop modified thought patterns Sind Künstler und Kultureinrichtungen kulturelle Übersetzer? Welche Rolle spielen Konzepte wie jenes der Transkulturalität? Die Beiträge des Bandes stellen das Thema der (trans-)kulturellen Übersetzung in den Mittelpunkt und schlagen eine Brücke zwischen Kunst und Kulturbetrieb. Dafür ist der sogenannte Cultural Turn ebenso relevant wie neueste Erkenntnisse aus Kulturbetrieb und -management. Neben transkulturellen Phänomenen in bildender Kunst, Musik, Literatur und Theater widmen sich die Beiträge der Kulturvermittlung auf Festivals, in Museen, Theatern, Bibliotheken, Konzert- und Opernsälen.     Nowadays, e-services technology has demonstrated a pervasive character in the modern tourism industry. e-Services implemented by the tourism industry, e.g. e-tourism, appeared to produce significant cost reductions and market efficiencies. Since online services are continuously accessible, time and geographic differences do not hinder the interaction between tourism service providers and their customers anymore. By using ICTs, (small) tourism organizations can enlarge their markets or operate in niche markets by serving a specific group of customers. The increased use of ICTs has thus resulted in a significant change in the structure of the tourism industry. The present paper aims to provide an overview of experiences and findings that address the socio-economic impacts of e-services for the (cultural) tourist industry, on the basis of a systematic impact analysis. We use a SWOT approach to organize a systematic evaluation of various e-services effects, which are specifically differentiated for e-services and e-tourism (including cultural heritage) of socioeconomic importance.
